This is close to the oil blend I make for my moms migraines and sinus headaches and man does it work! Its on my channel, I never thought to add frankincense tho, so Im definitlt going to try it!
I am so glad I found your videos through one of your emails that I finally took the time to read. I know. I am embarrassed. I am having a sleepless night. I am just so happy to see you in action. LOL. I am so inspired that I will schedule a specific time on Sunday to get going with your class. I really, really want to learn the science behind all of this. I suffer from daily chronic headaches, and the few oils I have blended with the tiny knowledge I have learned really help take the edge off. I can just imagine doing it the proper way through your teaching. I need this sinus blend as well, but need to buy these other oils. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for teaching us.
Faith hope, I'm so glad you found my channel too! I hope you find some relief with my recipes. Here is one you might find helpful for your sleeplessness:th-cam.com/video/_QktN9Xstv8/w-d-xo.html Please let me know how they work for you.
Adele Dig, the labels come from Richmark Labels. You can ask for any color and print your website, email, phone number, or business name on them. You can ask for any size, or even multiple sizes. I use a black Sharpie extra fine point marker to write on them. Works great!
LOVE THIS . MAKING THIS NEXT SINCE ITS THAT SEASON HERE IN MICHIGAN . GREAT TO HAVE ON HAND !!! TY SO MUCH N KEEP THOSE REMEDIES COMING !!! HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND !!
Maven Tam hi Maven, I've been getting a lot of sinus congestion sinus headache sinus pressure, I've been using peppermint oil just a dab on the nose for several years now it helps keep me alert and cuz I work nights, I just bought the eucalyptus oil where do you suggest I put for sinus headaches? Ok thanks Wade..
Whitney I am so happy you found us and that you're loving the videos! There are many wonderful companies. We like to recommend buying from companies that import directly from the distillers, that test every batch of oil with GC/MS, and that share the batch specific GC/MS reports with their customers. This ensures quality and demonstrates accountability. In the video I am using oils from Aromatics International - one of the companies we recommend. Here are a few more: Aromatics International - www.aromatics.com/ Essential Elements - essentialelementsstore.com/ Pompeii Organics - www.pompeiiorganics.com/ Florihana (US) - www.florihana-usa.com/ Florihana (Europe) - www.florihana.com/en/ Aliksir (Canada) - www.aliksir.com/ Here's a blog post from my Aromahead Blog for more information about GC/MS testing: blog.aromahead.com/2009/12/04/essential-oil-industry-standards-aromatics-international-supports-gcms-testing Hope this helps!
Hi Mrs. Lessing! Fever can be an indication of a more serious issue, so we recommend consulting with a medical professional. Essential oils are wonderful for supporting health and wellness. Diffusion, inhalers, and sleep support are excellent ways to help your body stay healthy. We published a blog post recently with some great blends to stay healthy, and there are kid versions of each recipe too: blog.aromahead.com/stay-healthy-essential-oils-for-cold-season-immunity-nl 💖
I like to use blank labels, and I often get them from Richmark Labels. You can ask for any color and print your website, email, phone number, or business name on them. You can ask for any size, or even multiple sizes. I use a black Sharpie extra fine point marker to write on them. Works great! After I write on my label, I cover it with a clear laminate label of the same size and shape. That way my ink doesn’t smear. Richmark Labels Call and ask for Jeremy! www.richmarklabel.com/ 800-456-8884 The labels I use are rolls of 1000, one color with black print. They are rectangles, 2.000" by 1.125 ". Richmark also sells clear laminate labels. I like the standard grade gloss.
Jody Immel, you could use any carrier oil you like. The trauma oil has some added therapeutic properties that address the pain and inflammation experienced with sinus congestion but if you don't have it any carrier you have on hand would be fine. :o)
Hi Kathy! Essential oil substitutions always depend on the issue at hand, the intention of the blend, the person’s age, health, preferences… and so many other factors! For this particular blend, you could substitute Roman Chamomile with Lavender (Lavendula angustifolia). 💜
Jim Fern Vitense, you could. The only catch is that the St. John's wort blossoms need to be fresh, not dried plant material. This can make infusing a bit more difficult because of limited availability of fresh blossoms and infusing with fresh plant material involves more care because of the moisture content can introduce mold into the carrier oil if your not extra careful during the infusion process.
Comfortouch, you can use any of these three in place of the eucalyptus:Tea Tree (Melaleuca alternifolia) Ravintsara (Ho leaf) (Cinnamomum camphora ct 1,8 cineole), or Saro (Cinnamosma fragrans). For the lavender you might try one of these Clary Sage (Salvia sclarea) or Neroli/Petitgrain Co-Distill (Citrus aurantium var amara (Flowers and Leaves))
Hi Shireen! Olive Oil can be great to use as a massage oil to help relieve muscle tension and headaches. We like to add essential oils to enhance the therapeutic benefits and provide additional relief. JoAnn Adams, I just pour some into my hand and apply it to the back of my neck and even my upper chest so that I can breath in the aroma along with having it absorbed into the skin. This blend can be a bit too strong to apply directly to the face.
You can, Vivek Arora. Any other carrier oil will work just fine in this recipe. I like the trauma oil because it adds therapeutic components to the blend that can help with pain and inflammation associated with sinus congestion.
Yes, jcloewen2000, eucalyptus radiata is a great substitution for globulus. The radiata is a bit softer to the nose and works just as well. Let me know how you make out with your version. I'd love to hear.
Cathy Howard, the labels come from Richmark Labels. You can ask for any color and print your website, email, phone number, or business name on them. You can ask for any size, or even multiple sizes. I use a black Sharpie extra fine point marker to write on them. Works great!

Hi Robin Gillett, I'm using Frankincense from Boswellness. This is a distiller inVermont who imports their resin from Somaliland. You can find them here:www.boswellness.com/

Wonderful, thank you.
Andrea, how much of this oil do you apply to the back of your neck?
I might pour a dime-sized amount into my hand and apply it to the back of my neck, LM Nixon.
Hi Andy. Where cam I buy the trauma oil?
***** awesome thanks
Lennieth, you can find trauma oil here:www.aromatics.com/products/trauma-oil
Other than Trauma oil, what other carrier oil would you recommend? That just happens to be one I don't have yet.
Jody Immel, you could use any carrier oil you like. The trauma oil has some added therapeutic properties that address the pain and inflammation experienced with sinus congestion but if you don't have it any carrier you have on hand would be fine. :o)
Do you have a tutorial on how to clean the glass bottles for reuse?
I don't have a tutorial on that subject. Great idea!
I am allergic to chamomile. What else can I use?
Hi Kathy! Essential oil substitutions always depend on the issue at hand, the intention of the blend, the person’s age, health, preferences… and so many other factors! For this particular blend, you could substitute Roman Chamomile with Lavender (Lavendula angustifolia). 💜
Hi Andrea,
Can I make my own Trauma oil by infusing arnica, St. John's wort, and calendula? I make calendula infused oil now could I use it ?
Jim Fern Vitense, you could. The only catch is that the St. John's wort blossoms need to be fresh, not dried plant material. This can make infusing a bit more difficult because of limited availability of fresh blossoms and infusing with fresh plant material involves more care because of the moisture content can introduce mold into the carrier oil if your not extra careful during the infusion process.
Thanks for the great videos. Love them! Where do you find your Roman Chamomile?
+Andrea Butje Thanks, I tried the first one they don't have it. Will try some of the others.
You might try Aromatics.com. here is the link to Roman chamomile www.aromatics.com/products/chamomile-roman-essential-oil

This frankincense (Boswellia carterii) comes from Boswellness. Their website is here: Boswellness.com
Hi Andrea. Does your bottle have the orifice reducer on the top, or do you just pour the blend into your hand?
JoAnn Adams, I just pour some into my hand and apply it to the back of my neck and even my upper chest so that I can breath in the aroma along with having it absorbed into the skin. This blend can be a bit too strong to apply directly to the face.
Can we replace Trauma oil with any other oil like jojoba, grapeseed...argan...?
You can, Vivek Arora. Any other carrier oil will work just fine in this recipe. I like the trauma oil because it adds therapeutic components to the blend that can help with pain and inflammation associated with sinus congestion.
I have eucalyptus radiata on hand - can I sub that for the euc. Globulus or are they too different? Thanks!
Yes, jcloewen2000, eucalyptus radiata is a great substitution for globulus. The radiata is a bit softer to the nose and works just as well. Let me know how you make out with your version. I'd love to hear.
