Man , listening to the reduction gear starter brought back some memories. Could tell the diff between the OEM by listening to it start.

On the starter debacle the problem we experienced was rebuild shops were hooking up a set of jumper cables. If the motor spun over they would place it on the shelf for issue. Only after running a lock resistance test would starters show as defective. Another problem with the Chrysler distributors. Could not just drop in a set of breaker points. Got in the habit of pulling the distributor clean the contact plates, place light coat of dist cam lube and drop back in. Luckily you were either right on or 180 out.
Disconnect the coil wire then spinning over several minutes to oil the top end . Then try to crank it.
Now that would be cool, create a complete YT season of restoring Royals Mother in-laws / Wifes 1968 Camaro! Come on Mark change it up for all the boys in the shop, parts are easily available and its an awesome thing to do for a buddy like Royal. Also would bring some awesome fresh content to the channel. The YT revenues alone of the series would allow you to give Royal a smokin deal and guaranteed you would draw in lots of new subscribers to the channel.

3-4 years before the car is complete? How many hours of labor is in these things? 10’s of thousands?
They are not constantly working on the car for 3-4 years. It is spread over that time due to other cars they are working on.
