love the tip about the pressure plate you guys just saved me a huge head ach and was considering a new clutch and flywheel anyway so guese im geting one for sure
now this is what I have been looking for in your videos everything else I have no problem with I struggle with trany internals I have never learned I just buy new buts thanks bro amazing job your guys are doing teaching people Honda language hahaha keep it up
Don't forget to clean the magnet, also there should be a cap on the casing that is held in by a snap ring that traps debris, you would want to clean that out too, mine had quite a bit of debris, and metal shavings when rebuilding mine
Hey Mark. Thank you for all the great videos. Hope all is well in FL! When I tighten the bolts on the transmission housing, I check the input shaft and it won’t move. If I loosen the bolts everything is okay again. Any pointers?
Vaseline is similar, just cheaper and colorless. I would check your fluid level and condition. I had a grind going into 3rd gear at high rpm's and I was just low on fluid and it was dirty. After I flushed it and put in some redline it was good to go.
yo,nice video,i have a 94 honda accord, but is different from the regulars, its called ascot innova,im having problems finding parts for it including the transmission, and i want to know if you have seen this kind of accord before and what transmission could be compatible with...its manual trans
first time looking at ur videos. Looks cool and similar to MCM,but the constant music gets kinda annoying when ure talking. In a DIY video u gotta hear what the other person is telling u to do lol. Still nice vid
c0V3Ro - The vaseline is just for a pre lube. The vaseline will break down slowly when oil hits it. Its normally used to hold things together like the tiny ball bearings in automatic transmissions. They could have bought a tranmission pre lube for all the gears but that cost money and there broke like the rest of us. Anyway if you don't believe me on vaseline will break up in oil. See for yourself and make an experiment and put the vaseline into some oil and after some wear it will break down and you wont see the vaseline anymore.
Hmm my b16a2 only grinds 3rd when comming from a 7000+rpm 2nd. I guess i'll just wait untill it's time to replace the clutch so i put a new pressure plate and hope i don't have to torn apart my transmission.
how do you tell if the gears are in neutral and not stuck in rev or rev not working, what position should the selector be in or can ou look at the gears and tell, great vid guys
I can't get into reverse at all all the other gears go in and out no problem. no grinds it feels like something is blocking it from getting in what could it be help please
do you know if it is possible to do an auto to manual conversion in and eg civic? and if so what is involved? any idea on cost? i have the transmission and shift linkage, need a shifter and pedals + master and slave cylinder + lines, etc.
i believe that your videos are better than MCM man. I see alot more things about engines and cars over all rather than just watching a lot of talk and shit that i dont want to see. i still like MCM dont get me wrong, but you still give a lot more of the good stuff than them. keep up the good work :D
Great job not using blue Loctite on the flywheel bolts if this is a light flywheel and says this in the installation instructions; however, not torqueing the flywheel bolts to the crank with a torque wrench in at least 2 steps is not a good idea. Also, warping the pressure plate by not tightening in the correct sequence and sneaking up on the bolts will also give you problems. Thumbs way down. Do not imitate unless you want to needlessly spend more time and money to fix it properly later. Boo
Boys, this format of editing and production is the best. Loved it and keep up the solid work
+ThexGreatxLTS thanx !
s1 cable tranny and I need the torque specs for the ring gear bolts and the countershaft 23mm nut. Thanks for the help.
Man, I could NEVER do this stuff but I love watching it.

Good video. Like other's, I would like to know all the songs and artist's played during the video.
All music is original by Mark McKenzie. All info and updates can be found on our Facebook page and Soundcloud.
I did not realize how easy a Honda trany really I couldn't believe it I had to watch it twice but of course almost everything on Honda is easy

it will turn to sludge not supposed to use vaseline. need to use the right transmission fluid to lube it.
Great vid btw.
I love videos like thiss.
I learn alot, And also use my own tekk
Time machine!
Dope +HondaStreetGarage
hopefully my friends ls tran is grinding cuz the pressure plate
lol love the MCM stab awesome
Can you put a 12lb fly wheel on a stock engine? Would that cause any harm or longivtity issues?
what's the name of that song that starts at 3:58. plz message me or hit me up for the name. i been looking for that damn song.
Nice video guys :)
good job.
you make me feel some type of way..some type of way..
Still awesome
i like ef civics. especially hatchbacks.
What would cause the transmission to chatter in neutral and and in first gear? Could it be those bearings inside there?
Paint the transmission red so it weighs less.
Also surprised you didn't break one 10mm bolt with the impact
Hmm my b16a2 only grinds 3rd when comming from a 7000+rpm 2nd.
I guess i'll just wait untill it's time to replace the clutch so i put a new pressure plate and hope i don't have to torn apart my transmission.
They make a set of snap ring pliers for that snap ring... cheap at harbor freight!
why would a bad pressure plate cause only third to grind...wouldnt multiple gears grind? you feel me?
yo east coast reppin see them SC tags QC all day
What I didn’t learn is where to source Honda tranny parts, dealer or aftermarket, if there is an aftermarket for these parts.
I cannot get the top half of the case back on. It's driving me nuts!
Nice video I'm have to get y'all info I live in sc to and my need some work !!!
how do you tell if the gears are in neutral and not stuck in rev or rev not working, what position should the selector be in or can ou look at the gears and tell, great vid guys
pucho513 you can look at them and tell also you can pull the selector back and forth and feel where 3rd and 4th is
+Honda Street Garage 👍👍👍👍
HSG!!!!
@1:39 After removing the transmission, what keeps the engine from falling?
"now thats how u torque to spec" LOL
Oh my God! Episode 4! Ha! I'm hilarious.
Great work! Hey, can you please share the song list \m/
What's with the Vaseline. Not sure it should be there
I can't get into reverse at all all the other gears go in and out no problem. no grinds it feels like something is blocking it from getting in what could it be help please

Tom Bane hardest part would be to cut that auto shifter plate off underneath the car, everything else is prettt much bolt on
I got an ls trans and when I put in fifth gear it won't grab at all just pops right back out what could be wrong with it?
Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PLEASE MAKE MORE VIDEOS WHERE IS THE FINAL PRODUCT OF THE LS VTEC TURBO BUILD
Would it be the same for 2.3?
Where is this place located at?
no torque wrench on the flywheel! you crazy- ever seen one come off?
i believe that your videos are better than MCM man. What song is it at 4:28?
song name at 0.02???
What's the song name at 5:35 ?
Nice video but the music ruined it.
Mr. Koshi fell on his own blade for dishonoring his family's name by working with pale faces.
Where did you learn all that you know about Hondas? You seem to know a good deal.
Like your vids but I can do without the loud background music kinda hard to hear you clearly ....oh and the intro was funny lol
If you only had a torque wrench....... :-)
Lol mcm!
Never use a impact on flywheels
The music is cool, but its too loud along with the weird voice effects.
Put more videos
working on some new videos now! lots of new changes coming!
really like the distortion on your voice. its a better presentation of your overall appearance. And the music helps too!
Omg the music......😖😖😖
You guys should really cut the music...
No music wtf bro please
Doesn't look much different from the D series trans'
