Staggered non insulated butsplices or western union splices that are individually heat shrinked. With the wires twisted to their natural postion then 33+, 130c, then glass tape i fixed many cables that way from instrumentation beldon cables to medium voltage power cables.
@@IndustrialMaintenance glass tape is more for high heat applications but it provides heat protection, abrasion resistance, and i prefer to use it over cambric because its smooth but tougher than cambric. But it aint cheep though
Its off by about .25 of a second due to only being able to edit via phone. Im getting better as time goes and I've upgraded from my 2015 phone so it will be even better soon

never really tried it that way, never used glass tape though, whats the pros vs cons to that
