The clipped drums sounded kinda lit 🔥 js
I know right. If you just cut off the high end a little it’d be amazing
i thought the same. DO let your kit sound like this!
exactly what i’m saying 😂
The problem is once they are recorded like that, you have no control over the sound. You can add distortion really easy and get that sound, you can never remove any, so if you wanted just a little less, too bad. A little less would have sounded much better and the high end would not have washed out as bad.
I'd agree, but would fly that distorted version in underneath a cleaner version to beef it up and retain the dynamics.
So true …live cymbals and studio cymbals are two different worlds…
Very informative video. Thank You
7:50 sounds amazing! I'd like to know about the snare, hihat and kick drum models.
Some of my favorite personal drum recordings were only made with one sm57 or an sm58 etc.... straight into a little Tascam cassette portastudio. Sounds like you are right in front of the band in a room. Love it. If i make synthetic drums for instance, I do a 1 mic re-amp and get a completely different vibe... love it. Cheers!
Magnificent 😊
10/10, love from the Kenny beats channel
informative 👍🏻🤌🏻
7:53 In that mic position, How do you stop the mic from sliding down and falling?
champion drummage
Hi there! What cymbal stands are those? They looks awesome.
3:10 That sounded awesome though
Great I'm definitely gonna try it
Let us know how it turns out!
@@CreatingtheSound Yes, I will use the kit center position
Is it applicable for live situation as well? For quick iem set up
I use the SM57 as overhead
It's a classic everywhere on the kit! We're working on a video now where we use it on the kick drum, with an SM58 as the overhead.
hoho i don't know is it something wrong with me but i really like that clipping shitty drum tone at 03:12 hahahahaha
Similar mics of the sm57?
Sorry, I'm not exactly sure what you are asking. Can you clarify?
sm58 ;)
