it's a huge compliment to them that you think it's one of the best satires you've seen, when you understand about 50% of it. A lot of is just understood through a deeper knowledge about swedish pop-culture, children's programs, the political debates etc.
The children's program is a pastiche of a children's program called "Hajk" in the 80s. Every show started with just that kind of pun. "Today we're going to talk about x, but not any x, but yx...
Speaking as a political scientist. "Kindliness points" is not a political term per se, but rather something originating from alternative media personalities(often from the populist- and/or rightwing movements) , when talking about morally good decisions in theory, but not always apparent in reality. That is what makes the satire nicely double edged, since the term is rather controversial.
Two other Freudian slip clips you need to watch if someone does a translation for them are "Swedish family adapts honor culture" (Svensk familj börjar med hederskultur) and "the porn game" (Porrspelet).
"Godhets-poäng" (Kindness points) is basically "browney points" or "Virtue signaling points". (yes, it is a real thing in Swedish political lingo) Ondhets-poäng would be the antonym. God = good/kind Ond = bad/evil
3:00 reference from a Swedish kids show classic called *Hajk* (Hike), and an episode where the anchor man says: “Tjipp tjipp! Idag, barn, ska vi tala om hästar, men inte vilka hästar som helst, utan - Flodhästar!” Roughly in English: “Chip chip! Today, kids, we’re going to talk about horses, but not just any horses, no - we’re talking about flood horses 🌊+🐴 (which is the Swedish way of saying Hippopotamus 🦛 )
7:18 ”Calm speech” is meant to be the opposite of ”hate speech”, though I’m not sure it translates. The words used here in Swedish are ”Lugn mot folkgrupp”, (Calm against people-group) which is very clearly a reference to the crime ”Hets mot folkgrupp” (”Agaitation against people-group”, or something along those lines). This is the equivelant law to the British hate speech law.
You could watch "Väderskandalen" ("The Wheather Scandal") next if you want more of their edgy humour, handling sensitive political subjects... They've got a lot of other great ones, but most are sadly not subtitled.
This one pokes fun at the centrist establishment media by having a fictional Nazi version of Sweden use the same types of language (shifted slightly to fit the nazi theme) as said centrist establishment. It sounds quite silly. The writing is quite brilliant.
Great videos Mert! Just FYI, there is a lot of inside jokes (Heil-instead of Hajk (wich is an actual childrens show) and many more. Just so you are aware of that you are probably missing out on 30% of the jokes.
the term 'kindness points' is commonly used by far-right nationalists in Sweden to attack anyone who doesn't share their views on immigration, gender roles and so on. For normal people it just means being a decent person but for this hateful clique being decent seems to be a sign of weakness.
I love it! But very much of it is true and happens in Sweden right now with the government :( Our prime minister only has his power because of the support from Sverigedemokraterna - i e the right-wing extremists.
Fascists and racists are very uppset whenever people speak out for humanitarian issues and tries to insult them by saying that they are only doing it for goodness points or calls them goodness junkies. I don't think anyone is actually insulted by this since everybody should try to be kind whenever we can cause whats the option, being as evil and stupid as possible?
This is also FULL of semi-hidden references, clever wordplays and other stuff that only works for a Swedish audience, it is absolutely brilliant.
You should watch poesi för fiskar.
Yes plz!
Poesi för fiskar is the best, but he needs subtitles. I think they are subbed in swedish so the translate function could work.
"Vaskduellen" is my favorite from Poesi för fiskar.
@@rikardt3190 ohh.. there are so many great ones. My favorite is negerboll or se mig, nakenlekar is good also.
th-cam.com/video/L_3qD5j_lUQ/w-d-xo.html Their video Negerboll has English subtitles and I think it's one of their best ones.
There are many references to swedish tv shows that you might not know of, difficult to get the context of so to say.

Finally more Freudian Slip Productions! "Filmen om #metoo" by FSP also have subtitles, it's so freakin' well produced.
'Väderskandalen' is another great video by Freudian Slip Productions. Subtitled as well.
All of the shows are parodies of existing popular Swedish shows.

"Kindliness points"
Is basically our term for virtue signalling.

or just the term "virtue signaling" in english
Kindliness points is doing things because they are political correct, a right wing thing to insult the left with.
It's similar to virtue signaling.
I am Swedish and have never heard it. Is this a Stockholm term?

Pretty sure half (or more) of the jokes flew over your head. References to Swedish TV shows, untranslatable word play etc

You should react to the swedish comedy serie "Karatefylla". I'm not sure if English subtitles are available. It's funny as hell anyways..
React to "Radikala feministkvällar" by the same channel
It's from the TV show "Lyxfällan" 4:22
Look up "Jaharå" by Alex and Sigge, Forgotten gems.
is he ready for Morran och Tobias ?
Yes
