Your reviews are always so good, and I truly value your opinion. The Flower Knows products and packaging look so alluring! I am wondering if these shades would show up better if you used a pigmented eye primer, such as the Hourglass one, before applying the shadow?
Uh, thank you so much! Sure, I always forget about primers, so I always compare eyeshadows without primer. But you’re right. I tried with a stick eyeshadow underneath and the payoff is much better!
Good to know! I always have to use primer because my eyelids are oily, even though my skin is very dry otherwise. Also wanted to say - I just love how the Chanel mattes have a bit of sheen to them. I think that’s what makes them so unique and worth the price…. usually.
I totally agree with you! I think that finish, that I like to call “vinyl matte” is so special! And the satin too!! That’s why I fell in love with the Byzance collection in the first place. But this color story in Eclat de nuit is even better for me!

I’m always looking for the perfect taupe as well. Have you tried the Claire Obscure palette? That’s one of my favourite Chanel palettes. I really love this palette too.
I managed to resist to Claire Obscure, but I could not skip Eclat de Nuit. Both are very elegant ❤️

Such a through and wonderful breakdown- unfortunately I missed out on the Chanel palette (but my wallet is happy ) - however the more I see the Flower Knows palettes the more eager I am to get them (the formula looks wonderful and the taupes are so gorgeous) so my wallet may not stay happy for long 😆
At least Flower Knows doesn’t have luxury prices, so 1-2 palettes won’t be a big investment 😉🤗
I got this Chanel quad and it’s my first Chanel eyeshadow ever. I really love it. I agree that mushroom color doesn’t have a lot of pigment, but it builds. I’m super happy I got the quad and I’ve loved the looks I’ve made.
The other 2 Chanel quads coming out soon one with the blue and one with pink caught my eye!

The Chanel compacts packaging looks so cheap. Looks like something covergirl put out 20 years ago.

You could say that you're not paying for the packaging 😅both Chanel and Dior compacts definitely aren't expensive to make as they're not customised outside limited editions which are more expensive. Same for Tom Ford... It's cheap plastic 🤷♀️
