As I'm responding to these wonderful comments, I realized that one of the main reasons I had to include DR 2 on this list was because of its impeccable formulation. Perhaps with the exception of the first three Motherships, there's always a shade or two that needs some finessing. But in DR 2??? All the textures were S TIER. From the mattes to the astral shades. And every time I used it, the security I felt in knowing that whatever shade I used was going to deliver??? Yup.
Totally agree! Not my fav color story but the quality is amazing and beginner friendly! I keep reaching for it, even the metallics work amazingly in the crease!
I had to tell you. I just got my very first PMG Mothership palette yesterday. Mothership X. I want to thank you for your extensive reviews. They helped me so much. I was able to choose the colour story that works for me. And OMG! I had very high expectations, of course. I was not disappointed. Opening the illustrated art packaging, then holding that black lacquer case, the weight of it surprised me. Then lifting the lid to reveal the eyeshadows. My mouth dropped open. I own ND and Huda palettes but PMG eyeshadows are a different level. It’s the most beautiful piece of makeup that I own. Thank you so much for the time and the work you put into all your vids. I just love your energy and personality. And now I have a Mothership. I giggle every time I look at it.😊

After years of watching luxury makeup videos, this year I began to actually purchase… my first Mothership was Midnight Sun because of you… my second was Mothership 10 because of you also… I am stuck on number three… I also use Pat McGrath concealer, foundation, powder, lipgloss, highlighter, blush, lipliner… I will wait till the next sale to dive into the mascara, eyeliner, and bronzer! Thanks for giving us permission to write essays 😊 Top PMG favs: 1. M6--Midnight Sun 🌞 better known as "The One"... Favorite pallette in my collection and arguably the best PMG creation! From grocery shopping to office to After 5 and all life and living...If I could only have one pallette in my life...This would be it! 2. M4--Decadence: It only gets better as I age! Every "Chocolate Doll" or "Seasoned Lovely" should own this pallette! If I want to be edgy or glam this is it! 3. M3--Subversive: When I wanna be "Supah-Dupah Fly 😎" ...Plus I think it pairs well with Midnight Sun... 4. Blitz Astral Quad Nocturnal Nirvana! I absolutely love blue and green eyeshadows! The color story of this blue-green-indigo mini pallette is probably the best one for "chocolate girls" who love to play with blues and greens! The indigo-purple shadow is starting to hard pan but I revive it with a spritz of mix medium...I hope PMG brings her back. 5a. M5--Bronze Seduction--The door opener and...The Gateway pallette: This was my first PMG pallette. If it were not for this pallette I probably would not have considered making any investment in PMG/Mothership eyeshadow pallettes...When I saw it for the first time I said to myself "This is a pallette that is worth $125!" 5b. M10-Moonlight Seduction better known as "Bronze Seduction's little cousin!" Brilliantly ostentatious on so many levels-- exclusively After 5 or New Year's Eve! The downside is that she's little too light for deeper skin tones. The mattes would work better as blend out shadows on deeper tones, too...but..if you do not mind "the naughty-gaudy" go for it! Honorable mentions to: 6. Blitz Blitz Atral Quad Iconic Illumination--This is my "work horse PMG" pallette. She's a safe, reliable "get ready and be out the door in 15min " pallette! She's just a simple but pretty warm neutral...The Blitz Brown is great for either an outer corner shadow or eyebrow filler or even a transition shade for the deep skin tones! She's a great travel companion too! I hope PMG brings her back into the fold, too! 7. M2--Oh so Sublime! What hooked me was that gorgeous Blitz Green which is next to impossible to dupe! Otherwise she's another safe and familiar pallette with a color story that is all-inclusive--wearable for all skin tones and ages! She's good for the office, weddings, luncheons, or first dates (or court dates-can you say Not Guilty lol!) ...She's ideal for a nice gift, too! But the other shadows in het story are easy to dupe so...If I had a do over I'd buy her on sale... 8. M1-Subliminal: I do not own Subliminal yet, but, I really like the subdued and cool neutral color stories! These shades really make brown eyes stand out ...This pallette is appropriately named...I do not consider it a "must buy" because some of those mattes would seem too light for deeper skin tones plus...It has been on the market for a very long time so I am hoping that it will go on sale one day... 9. M8-Divine Rose 2: I do not own this pallette yet either because I am not all that crazy about pinks. I think this pallette was PMG's attempt to bring the "chocolate girls into the pink" She's another pretty but simple pallette that is great for bridal make up or high-teas and luncheons. I would only buy this pallette on sale though...The shadow formulas and its color stories are easy dupeable so...Why would I pay $125?
Mothership V in the Met Gala packaging was my first and will always have a special place in my heart. I also love subversive - best and boldest color story IMHO. Decadence - I got it on the first relaunch when it was in the Star Wars packaging...the height of the Pat McGrath launch shenanigans. I love midnight sun for its versatility. Lastly mothership II when I feel like playing it safe.
It’s impossible to watch your videos without buying at least one PMG palette… or most of them. 😅 started with Midnight Sun (& a 6-pan Lunar NY palette) because of your recommendations and it was my regular color story. Now that I have all the Motherships, I’d say my top 5 are Midnight Sun, Subliminal, Huetopian Dream, and Bronze Seduction. You’ve inspired me to play with DRII, Moonlit Seduction, and Sublime. I love that gold shade in Subversive - it helped me keep from buying a Lisa Eldridge palette. But most of the time. It’s too punk rock for my vocation. The mattes in Sublime seem disconnected and I prefer the shades in other palettes. I have to take the chance to trust the mattes in Moonlit Seduction like you do rather than reaching into my Viseart palettes and making my looks look like the 5 pan neutral holiday collection that is no longer available. Hey C.J.! That’s how I feel about Bronze Seduction- it screams Holiday/Special Occassion, and I need to be in a particular mindset for that palette. I can understand how one wouldn’t think the mattes can work in Moonlit because of how impactful the metallics are, but they make lovely combinations. Although I realize that because of my skin tone, Plum Cabaret and Rosewood Romantique might not pull as warm/red on me. And they might appear like that on you, but I think the undertones lean more neutral.

I mean, I was shocked to get Moonlit Seduction on sale close to launch because I bought it with another palette during a sale. PMG is the only eyeshadow I'm letting myself buy, since my collection is far too large for two eyes in one lifetime...but then, I keep coming back to Alicia's channel and remembering how much joy we share in this hobby...
Midnight Sun is my one Mothership and I love it’s versatility. I use it for special occasions a for subtle looks just as well. I also love the variety of tones that aren’t pink!

I got into this "I want them all" pattern. There were a few that I knew right away, were not for me, but if I thought it was pretty I had to buy it. There is a difference between "I love that it's so pretty!" and "I would wear the heck out of that!" There were some happy shoppers on Mercari when I eventually re-homed swatched one time palettes. Huetopian Dream and Midnight Sun are the two palettes that I kept... they must be my favorites. I couldn't let them go...
MIDNIGHT SUN IS AMAZING!!!! I didn’t expect it to be my favorite 10 palette but it absolutely is!!!! Taboo alone. ALONE!!! Such a beautiful, pigmented medium tone brown. Not too warm, not too cool. Blends like a dream.
Mothership VI is so underrated. It was my very first Pat Mcgrath purchase and i have collected everything since! Huetopian Dream is my top mothership! I know people were upset it was more rosy pinks but as someone who wasn’t interested in the Divine Rose 1&2 releases it was the perfect option for me. Also the astral amethyst moon is my absolute favorite astral shade from Pat!
Oooooo yes! I had a hard time picking between Huetopian Dream and DR 2. I think overall DR 2 has the better formula. But it’s all good that Astra Amethyst is more flaky than Astral Pink Moon. I don’t mind it, especially if your conservative with the dose.
My firsts PMG palettes were Hutopian dream and Bronze 😁 I got them for sale, it was now or never :p and i love them so much, i just ordered the Moonlit seduction. I can't wait to receive it !😍
Subversive was supposed to be my first as well (it was sold out) Night Creature and Gigabyte OH BABY! Every single one in Mothership 3 is a moment. These top 5 are really good… I might have to dust off my Top 5 Fridays and see which ones I would choose.

I love midnight sun. It's great for everyday looks when you just want a bit of something special. I also love mothership 1 and DR 1. I have DR2 and its My least reached form recently got moonlit seduction so playing with that at the moment.

I agree. The Midnight Sun is my favourite and so underrated. I also love subliminal. Those are the ones I reach for, mainly becuase I seem to prefer cool tones. I need to reach for them more, I just find I want other palettes to add some more colour to the looks. Tomorrow is the day for midnight sun I think!! 💙
You could sell a mothership to anybody, in my opinion. Divine Rose 2 was my first mothership. I then bought Midnight Sun after watching your videos. Midnight Sun may be the most versatile palette ever. I love it. It's just absolutely gorgeous and it serves you in any way you want. It's my favourite palette ut of all those I have, alongside Riviera by Dior. My next mothership will be Subversive. I am not getting eyeshadow at the moment, because I have enough and don't wanna be wasteful, but when I'll get Subversive sooner or later. I own 2 of the Christmas mega palettes and like them but, to me, nothing compares to a Mothership.
@@aliciaarcher Thanks! I am sure I will! I thought I'd give you a heads up about the Eden Roc quint by Dior. Since you loved the fact that Midnight Sun actually represents the phenomenon, that palette also completely embraces the area and light at the Eden Roc hotel in France. Maybe look the hotel and its history up and then check the palette out, if that may interest you. Some similar tones to MS as well.

Alicia Archer X Pat McGrath content is always my favorite on the whole ‘Tube, especially Mothership rankingsss! I’m so glad Bronze Devotion got some love in this vid! I never understood Mother Pat’s obsession with bronze shades until that one debuted in Moonlit Seduction, it totally opened my eyes and now I appreciate all the bronzes in my collection more; it’s just so deliciously evocative and glowy but it also does all the heavy lifting for so many looks as a softer setup shade omg. It’s hard for me to rank the Motherships I have, I think Divine Rose II might narrowly make the number one spot just because it’s so stinkin’ versatile, but I agree with you about Moonlit Seduction wholeheartedly. It’s like a toy box of kaleidoscopic-but-also-surprisingly-neutral brilliance that continues to surprise me after 10 months of continual use. I was apprehensive about a few of the shades at first but somehow it feels nostalgic and futuristic at the same time now and weirdly calls to me every time I do my makeup, I’m transfixed😵💫😭🤩 Mother Pat really cooked up something so special and enigmatic with that one and I’m glad to see it in this ranking especially because I think it got a lot of flack at the time of release (though I don’t understand why because it’s not pink or gold leaning to my eye like everyone was whinging on about?? And the gold shade is one of the brand’s most neutral??) ANYWAY, love the content and love the rant encouragement. Obviously. Can’t wait for there to be five more Motherships for you to rank Alicia!
I love this analysis 😭 You outlined exactly why I adore Moonlit Seduction. Initially when you see it, it might scream monochromatic, but it’s much more. You truly need to throw away all assumptions and just play! Because the looks that can be created from that color story are simply glorious 🥹

My top 5 list is so similar to yours. In no particular order: III: Subversive (gigabyte & night creature have my heart) VII: Divine rose I X: Moonlit seduction VI: Midnight sun X: Heutopian (or on another day VIII: divine rose II)
Huetopian could be easily swapped with DR II for me. I had a hard time choosing between the two, but I just remember how much fun I had with DR II. Huetopian Dream isn’t too far behind!

I love motherships, But most have shades that are too warm for my chromatic complex. For example, the Divine Rose II has really hot tones, which do not enhance me at all. So I own 1-3-4-10.Even the 9 is warm.... I'm reflecting on the Midnight sun
I know this is not a new video but I am doing research before I buy.. I’m trying to decide between Subversive and Sublime. I have X, V, and IX at this point.. and I could totally see myself over time kind of just collecting them all barring any major repetition. In a perfect world I’d bite the bullet and buy the bundle of I, II, and III but I’m trying to be reasonable 😂 I will say I really love that the 3 I have really are quite unique from one another, aside from the “skinship” highlighty shades they all are different while being really complementary of each other. I think Huetopian Dream is the easiest of the three for me to use but I do love them all equally. I am leaning towards Subversive! Thank you for this video, your descriptions were amazing! 💜
I just ordered sublime and subliminal ( I think the palettes are #1 and #2?) and I am so excited to get them. They are so dang expensive they better be wonderful. I’ve only ever had Mac and colourpop eyeshadows so this should be next level…

Midnight sun is my favorite also. I am Asian with pale olive skin and the color story just works for me. My second favorite is the first divine rose and then moonlit seduction.

My favorite: 5. Subversive#3 4. Sublime #2 3. Bronze Seduction #5 2. Moonlit Seduction #10 1. Huetopian Dream #9 I have deep olive/nuetral skin tone and huetopian dream and moonlit seduction do amazing things for my skintone. Heutopian dreams has amazing versatility and i can wear it day and night; granted my skin is dark. But that coral matte has become an unlikely favorite for a warm transition shade for daytime looks to smoky eyes. Such an amazing palette. Once people finally get over it not being a rainbow palette they will be able to appreciate it fully. Moonlit seduction is such a technical and creative palette. Its the palette were people compliment you on your overall makeup not just specific eyeshadow colors. Its a red carpet palette. The magic lies in the choices in textures, finishes, and shadow bases. Its amazing and the shades are ver flattering for those with olive/ neutral skin tones or for people looking for a neutral ish palette that can take them from grunge to red carpet and back. 33:3333:3333:33

I only own 4 Motherships currently, but, in large part due to your extensive PM videos, I’ve curated my collection to include my favorites and I’m not yet ready to branch out more. Until the future Mothership 11 of course 😉 I don’t know what my ranking would be, but I love them all for their own reasons. I have Moonlit Seduction, Divine Rose 1, Subliminal, and Midnight Sun, which I also adore and love it for its versatility. You probably notice I go for cool/neutral tones more often and I have fair skin, so that keeps me from buying some of the more warm and intense palettes. Thank you so much for this video, I enjoy them so much! I’m curious: what would you like to see with a Mothership 11?
Oooo those are fantastic picks! I would love to see a non pink moment from 11: out of all the Motherships-Subliminal, Decadence, and Midnight Sun are the only ones without pink. It will be hard to not include a gold for Pat 😅 But a cooler, almost desaturated color story will be great.
Great review! I am lucky to own 6 Motherships, got the ones that spoke most to me. My favorite ones are: 1. Moonlit Seduction - by far the one that suits my eye colour, lifestyle and skin tone the best 😁 2. Midnight sun - very versatile and gorgeous neutrals 3. Bronze Seduction- the one that makes me feel special when I have it on, I mostly use it on ocasions when I want to look bomb 4. DR2 - I love how creamy the shades are, amazing quality 5. Subversive - it’s my go to when I wanna have fun, get out of my comfort zone with something special, perfect for smokey eyes- those were actually my fav colors 15 years ago 😁😁 The 6th and last mothership that I own is DR1 and for some reason, even though I like the shades individually, I don’t like it as a whole and it looks very dusty on me. I much prefere the Natasha Denona Retro palette instead, or even the good old naked 3 looked better on me. Keep up the great reviews and thanks for the analysis! 😊
Hi Marcela! Thank you for shading your choices and why. DR II formula wise is outstanding, and although I didn’t have Bronze Seduction on my list I do consider it to be the special event palette also. I agree that DR I definitely has Naked 3 vibes, and I can understand that the undertone my be grayish. If it had perhaps one more burgundy in there, it could be Retro’s contender.

After years of watching luxury makeup videos, this year I began to actually purchase… my first Mothership was Midnight Sun because of you… my second was Mothership 10 because of you also… I am stuck on number three…
I also use Pat McGrath concealer, foundation, powder, lipgloss, highlighter, blush, lipliner… I will wait till the next sale to dive into the mascara, eyeliner, and bronzer! Again, all because of you! Every cent I have spent on the brand has been because of you!

1. M6--Midnight Sun 🌞 better known as "The One"... Favorite pallette in my collection and arguably the best PMG creation! From grocery shopping to office to After 5 and all life and living...If I could only have one pallette in my life...This would be it!
2. M4--Decadence: It only gets better as I age! Every "Chocolate Doll" or "Seasoned Lovely" should own this pallette! If I want to be edgy or glam this is it!
3. M3--Subversive: When I wanna be "Supah-Dupah Fly 😎" ...Plus I think it pairs well with Midnight Sun...
4. Blitz Astral Quad Nocturnal Nirvana! I absolutely love blue and green eyeshadows! The color story of this blue-green-indigo mini pallette is probably the best one for "chocolate girls" who love to play with blues and greens! The indigo-purple shadow is starting to hard pan but I revive it with a spritz of mix medium...I hope PMG brings her back.
5a. M5--Bronze Seduction--The door opener and...The Gateway pallette: This was my first PMG pallette. If it were not for this pallette I probably would not have considered making any investment in PMG/Mothership eyeshadow pallettes...When I saw it for the first time I said to myself "This is a pallette that is worth $125!"
5b. M10-Moonlight Seduction better known as "Bronze Seduction's little cousin!" Brilliantly ostentatious on so many levels-- exclusively After 5 or New Year's Eve! The downside is that she's little too light for deeper skin tones. The mattes would work better as blend out shadows on deeper tones, too...but..if you do not mind "the naughty-gaudy" go for it!

6. Blitz Blitz Atral Quad Iconic Illumination--This is my "work horse PMG" pallette. She's a safe, reliable "get ready and be out the door in 15min " pallette! She's just a simple but pretty warm neutral...The Blitz Brown is great for either an outer corner shadow or eyebrow filler or even a transition shade for the deep skin tones! She's a great travel companion too! I hope PMG brings her back into the fold, too!
7. M2--Oh so Sublime! What hooked me was that gorgeous Blitz Green which is next to impossible to dupe! Otherwise she's another safe and familiar pallette with a color story that is all-inclusive--wearable for all skin tones and ages! She's good for the office, weddings, luncheons, or first dates (or court dates-can you say Not Guilty lol!) ...She's ideal for a nice gift, too! But the other shadows in het story are easy to dupe so...If I had a do over I'd buy her on sale...
8. M1-Subliminal: I do not own Subliminal yet, but, I really like the subdued and cool neutral color stories! These shades really make brown eyes stand out ...This pallette is appropriately named...I do not consider it a "must buy" because some of those mattes would seem too light for deeper skin tones plus...It has been on the market for a very long time so I am hoping that it will go on sale one day...
9. M8-Divine Rose 2: I do not own this pallette yet either because I am not all that crazy about pinks. I think this pallette was PMG's attempt to bring the "chocolate girls into the pink" She's another pretty but simple pallette that is great for bridal make up or high-teas and luncheons. I would only buy this pallette on sale though...The shadow formulas and its color stories are easy dupeable so...Why would I pay $125?
Midnight Sun was my first Mothership palette and it is my FAVORITE! This palette is so slept on! It doesn't get the love and respect that it deserves!
Mothership V in the Met Gala packaging was my first and will always have a special place in my heart. I also love subversive - best and boldest color story IMHO. Decadence - I got it on the first relaunch when it was in the Star Wars packaging...the height of the Pat McGrath launch shenanigans. I love midnight sun for its versatility. Lastly mothership II when I feel like playing it safe.

It’s impossible to watch your videos without buying at least one PMG palette… or most of them. 😅 started with Midnight Sun (& a 6-pan Lunar NY palette) because of your recommendations and it was my regular color story. Now that I have all the Motherships, I’d say my top 5 are Midnight Sun, Subliminal, Huetopian Dream, and Bronze Seduction. You’ve inspired me to play with DRII, Moonlit Seduction, and Sublime. I love that gold shade in Subversive - it helped me keep from buying a Lisa Eldridge palette. But most of the time. It’s too punk rock for my vocation. The mattes in Sublime seem disconnected and I prefer the shades in other palettes. I have to take the chance to trust the mattes in Moonlit Seduction like you do rather than reaching into my Viseart palettes and making my looks look like the 5 pan neutral holiday collection that is no longer available. Thank you so much for the inspiration!! I love your tutorials - I just rewatched your unboxing / 5 looks video w Midnight Sun and wore your Blood Moon / Jubilee / Blitz Violet Orchid combo on my day off.
Hey C.J.! That’s how I feel about Bronze Seduction- it screams Holiday/Special Occassion, and I need to be in a particular mindset for that palette. I can understand how one wouldn’t think the mattes can work in Moonlit because of how impactful the metallics are, but they make lovely combinations. Although I realize that because of my skin tone, Plum Cabaret and Rosewood Romantique might not pull as warm/red on me. And they might appear like that on you, but I think the undertones lean more neutral.
I am so fighting the urge right now! No more “Mothership building” for me till the next sale😝🥲

I mean, I was shocked to get Moonlit Seduction on sale close to launch because I bought it with another palette during a sale. PMG is the only eyeshadow I'm letting myself buy, since my collection is far too large for two eyes in one lifetime...but then, I keep coming back to Alicia's channel and remembering how much joy we share in this hobby...

I got into this "I want them all" pattern. There were a few that I knew right away, were not for me, but if I thought it was pretty I had to buy it. There is a difference between "I love that it's so pretty!" and "I would wear the heck out of that!" There were some happy shoppers on Mercari when I eventually re-homed swatched one time palettes. Huetopian Dream and Midnight Sun are the two palettes that I kept... they must be my favorites. I couldn't let them go...

Huetopian Dream is my top mothership! I know people were upset it was more rosy pinks but as someone who wasn’t interested in the Divine Rose 1&2 releases it was the perfect option for me. Also the astral amethyst moon is my absolute favorite astral shade from Pat!
Oooooo yes! I had a hard time picking between Huetopian Dream and DR 2. I think overall DR 2 has the better formula. But it’s all good that Astra Amethyst is more flaky than Astral Pink Moon. I don’t mind it, especially if your conservative with the dose.
Yes! Justice for Midnight Sun! It was my first Mothership and still remains my favorite for every day. ❤

Subversive was supposed to be my first as well (it was sold out) Night Creature and Gigabyte OH BABY! Every single one in Mothership 3 is a moment. These top 5 are really good… I might have to dust off my Top 5 Fridays and see which ones I would choose.

I love midnight sun. It's great for everyday looks when you just want a bit of something special. I also love mothership 1 and DR 1. I have DR2 and its My least reached form recently got moonlit seduction so playing with that at the moment.
DR 2 is more punchy for sure, and Moonlit Seduction definitely has more subtlety to it.

I agree. The Midnight Sun is my favourite and so underrated. I also love subliminal. Those are the ones I reach for, mainly becuase I seem to prefer cool tones. I need to reach for them more, I just find I want other palettes to add some more colour to the looks. Tomorrow is the day for midnight sun I think!! 💙

You could sell a mothership to anybody, in my opinion. Divine Rose 2 was my first mothership. I then bought Midnight Sun after watching your videos. Midnight Sun may be the most versatile palette ever. I love it. It's just absolutely gorgeous and it serves you in any way you want. It's my favourite palette ut of all those I have, alongside Riviera by Dior. My next mothership will be Subversive. I am not getting eyeshadow at the moment, because I have enough and don't wanna be wasteful, but when I'll get Subversive sooner or later. I own 2 of the Christmas mega palettes and like them but, to me, nothing compares to a Mothership.

@@aliciaarcher Thanks! I am sure I will! I thought I'd give you a heads up about the Eden Roc quint by Dior. Since you loved the fact that Midnight Sun actually represents the phenomenon, that palette also completely embraces the area and light at the Eden Roc hotel in France. Maybe look the hotel and its history up and then check the palette out, if that may interest you. Some similar tones to MS as well.

I’m so glad Bronze Devotion got some love in this vid! I never understood Mother Pat’s obsession with bronze shades until that one debuted in Moonlit Seduction, it totally opened my eyes and now I appreciate all the bronzes in my collection more; it’s just so deliciously evocative and glowy but it also does all the heavy lifting for so many looks as a softer setup shade omg. It’s hard for me to rank the Motherships I have, I think Divine Rose II might narrowly make the number one spot just because it’s so stinkin’ versatile, but I agree with you about Moonlit Seduction wholeheartedly. It’s like a toy box of kaleidoscopic-but-also-surprisingly-neutral brilliance that continues to surprise me after 10 months of continual use. I was apprehensive about a few of the shades at first but somehow it feels nostalgic and futuristic at the same time now and weirdly calls to me every time I do my makeup, I’m transfixed😵💫😭🤩 Mother Pat really cooked up something so special and enigmatic with that one and I’m glad to see it in this ranking especially because I think it got a lot of flack at the time of release (though I don’t understand why because it’s not pink or gold leaning to my eye like everyone was whinging on about?? And the gold shade is one of the brand’s most neutral??)

My top 5 list is so similar to yours. In no particular order:
III: Subversive (gigabyte & night creature have my heart)
VII: Divine rose I
X: Moonlit seduction
VI: Midnight sun
X: Heutopian (or on another day VIII: divine rose II)
Huetopian could be easily swapped with DR II for me. I had a hard time choosing between the two, but I just remember how much fun I had with DR II. Huetopian Dream isn’t too far behind!

I love motherships, But most have shades that are too warm for my chromatic complex. For example, the Divine Rose II has really hot tones, which do not enhance me at all. So I own 1-3-4-10.Even the 9 is warm.... I'm reflecting on the Midnight sun
I know this is not a new video but I am doing research before I buy.. I’m trying to decide between Subversive and Sublime. I have X, V, and IX at this point.. and I could totally see myself over time kind of just collecting them all barring any major repetition. In a perfect world I’d bite the bullet and buy the bundle of I, II, and III but I’m trying to be reasonable 😂
I will say I really love that the 3 I have really are quite unique from one another, aside from the “skinship” highlighty shades they all are different while being really complementary of each other. I think Huetopian Dream is the easiest of the three for me to use but I do love them all equally. I am leaning towards Subversive!

Midnight sun is my favorite also. I am Asian with pale olive skin and the color story just works for me. My second favorite is the first divine rose and then moonlit seduction.

I have deep olive/nuetral skin tone and huetopian dream and moonlit seduction do amazing things for my skintone. Heutopian dreams has amazing versatility and i can wear it day and night; granted my skin is dark. But that coral matte has become an unlikely favorite for a warm transition shade for daytime looks to smoky eyes. Such an amazing palette. Once people finally get over it not being a rainbow palette they will be able to appreciate it fully.
Moonlit seduction is such a technical and creative palette. Its the palette were people compliment you on your overall makeup not just specific eyeshadow colors. Its a red carpet palette. The magic lies in the choices in textures, finishes, and shadow bases. Its amazing and the shades are ver flattering for those with olive/ neutral skin tones or for people looking for a neutral ish palette that can take them from grunge to red carpet and back. 33:33 33:33 33:33

I only own 4 Motherships currently, but, in large part due to your extensive PM videos, I’ve curated my collection to include my favorites and I’m not yet ready to branch out more. Until the future Mothership 11 of course 😉
I don’t know what my ranking would be, but I love them all for their own reasons. I have Moonlit Seduction, Divine Rose 1, Subliminal, and Midnight Sun, which I also adore and love it for its versatility.
You probably notice I go for cool/neutral tones more often and I have fair skin, so that keeps me from buying some of the more warm and intense palettes.

Oooo those are fantastic picks! I would love to see a non pink moment from 11: out of all the Motherships-Subliminal, Decadence, and Midnight Sun are the only ones without pink. It will be hard to not include a gold for Pat 😅 But a cooler, almost desaturated color story will be great.

I am lucky to own 6 Motherships, got the ones that spoke most to me. My favorite ones are:
1. Moonlit Seduction - by far the one that suits my eye colour, lifestyle and skin tone the best 😁
2. Midnight sun - very versatile and gorgeous neutrals
3. Bronze Seduction- the one that makes me feel special when I have it on, I mostly use it on ocasions when I want to look bomb
4. DR2 - I love how creamy the shades are, amazing quality
5. Subversive - it’s my go to when I wanna have fun, get out of my comfort zone with something special, perfect for smokey eyes- those were actually my fav colors 15 years ago 😁😁
The 6th and last mothership that I own is DR1 and for some reason, even though I like the shades individually, I don’t like it as a whole and it looks very dusty on me. I much prefere the Natasha Denona Retro palette instead, or even the good old naked 3 looked better on me.

Hi Marcela! Thank you for shading your choices and why. DR II formula wise is outstanding, and although I didn’t have Bronze Seduction on my list I do consider it to be the special event palette also.
I agree that DR I definitely has Naked 3 vibes, and I can understand that the undertone my be grayish. If it had perhaps one more burgundy in there, it could be Retro’s contender.
