- Immersive Bootup of the H.E.V Mark IV :
This addon adds new sounds upon putting on the suit, which can be sometimes heard even if you have the suit music blasting away. It will make whirring mechanical sounds and energy startups, to make it feel as if the suit is calibrating and activating it's assets.

if you feel useless the hev suit has a communication array
It detects the presence of nearby grunts.
Electronium and in Half Life 2 during the Nova Propekt chapter
It picks up radio transmissions from Hecu on radio
i think it's for when you press the use key on a scientist or guard.

Id love to see a mod that alters the suit's combat mechanics. You take slightly more damage from projectiles, for instance, but the suit heals a considerable amount of it if you survive long enough.
Its could be a good thing but its not call of duty neither halo lol ... still a good idea but not for black mesa
MMod for Half Life 2 adds an optional feature like that, it works like Wolfenstein TNO's health system.

If you ever feel useless remember that there are mods out there for games that remove amazing music.
Manhack... City Scanner, S.L.A.M., Combine Camera, Radio static, and Metropolice radio.

It’s actually cool that there were both doom and half life 2 sound effects used
Speaking of hl2 sound effects, the communication array is used to tap into nearby radio chatter, so why did it make the combine radio chatter noise? Could it have possibly detected the combine near their dimension by accident?

Just radio frequency cut off is all. When cutting off a channel frequency, it tends to do that on recent CB radio and COMM channels.
The added sounds could match Iron Man, maybe any exosceleton. But not the HEV suit...

and the tau cannon is the doom door sound
and the doom door sound is a royalty free sound

Why a suit made for radioactive environments has a interface just to identify weapons and their ammunition levels?

HEV suit has a special helmet with the glasses.

I think it's in by default in the full release, unless my cracked copy came with preinstalled mods
