    Your Colorado does come with a transfer case skid plate, which my LT did not.

    I love my Colorado. I ordered mine last October and took delivery Jan5th. I just got the Trailboss in Tint coat radiant red, got all the trailboss packages, the factory 2 inch lift with the 18inch rims and 33 inch GoodYears. The only thing I was disappointed with was the inability to get leather. So I took it to an ulposter specialist and had him make me a leather interior.

    Most people will never drain their differentials during ownership. Also, You should try to pick up the truck with the rear lift arms at the forward leaf spring perch. Thanks for sharing the video.. Looks like GM went to electronic parking brake with the 23' colorado/canyon?

      Thx for the recommendation, I’ll look next time I lift it. Ya, unless you’re doing serious off roading, towing or track day(not in a truck) you’re probably right differential fluid should last a long time

    For the fellas who ordered their Colorado, Once the dealer took delivery of your order did they attempt to mark the truck up? In other words did anyone had to hassle the OTD price?
    I really like that lift, I wish!!! Lol

    Thanks for the video. Does the frame still have the same weak point in front of the rear axle that the previous generation did?

      I honestly don't know, I would think they improved upon that with all the hard core off road versions coming out.

      ive watched many reviews and read many things not a single person has pointed that out, when the engineer did all the reviews I wondered about the huge can coming off the engine and never once did they say what it was , its comforting to know its tucked up under there . @@ringnjc

    It's better to remove the rear differential cover so you can clean all the debris out of the bottom of the case when you change the diff oil. You can then use a Lube Locker re-usable gasket to reinstall the cover. I can't believe they didn't include a skid plate on the plastic gas tank. That should mandatory for any four wheel drive vehicle.

    • @ringnjc
      @ringnjc  ปีที่แล้ว

      Agreed, to really do it right you should remove the cover.

    The rear end doesn’t look much different as far as design goes from previous gen. The rear axle slop and squeaky leaf springs are the worst parts of the old gen. Not to mention the 8 speed lol the new trans I hear is better. Any slop and noises from the rear yet?

    • @ringnjc
      @ringnjc  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I haven’t noticed any rear end noises yet. Only 3k miles on it so far. The 8 speed is ok, on harder acceleration it holds off on up shifting for 4-5 seconds after laying off the gas so engine still in the high rpm range kinda strange I guess to keep it in the high torque curve but not sure why it does it in normal mode, off road or towing I understand.

    • @wesreese5211
      @wesreese5211 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’ve heard that from others as well about the holding gears. Seems like it could possibly be fixed with tamed with a program update. Rather have that than some of the things my 18’ 8 speed does sometimes lol. Great looking truck, love the color!

    I hate it when manufacturers don't include a diff drain plug. I'm sure there are (or will be) aftermarket diff covers available for this truck that will include a drain plug as well as increase oil capacity. I would install one of those.

    • @ringnjc
      @ringnjc  ปีที่แล้ว

      Definitely a strange choice, small cost savings I guess?

      Gear inspection is part of the service, so they would expect you to pull the cover and not just drain the fluid.

      Advantage Lifts, mine was $2,995 last year, I think $3,500 now then about $1,350 for delivery and install if I remember correctly, so you’re gonna be around $5k

    I see you have a metal oil pan! I've seen in other videos of 23 Colorados with PLASTIC oil pans.
    Hope my 3week old 23 has a metal pan.
