Now that was an useful video! Spot on helpful, things I’d been wondering about & delivered before I made a bad decision. Looking forward to the vid on PPF & ceramic coatings. You’ve earned my sub!
Great video. I’ve owned the LT for a few months. Check engine light came on twice for a while(will check filler flap)…just had a notification about how my 4x4 may not be working. Pushed all my fuses in…low beam bulbs seem to be accessible through wheel well liners 😖…steering column cover just dangling…steering wheel stitching bad…trim below headlights flexible…all the piano black scratches easily…not a decent head unit screen protector out there yet…dealership did my undercoating blind folded…having to turn Auto Off off every time is annoying…possibly missing something 🤣 Definitely want to install the trailer hitch and plug soon.
I’m hoping to find out if rear cross traffic can be added on. Also even though I have lane control sensors does this also have any warning for cars in blind spots? I have the LT and it has car ahead of me warning.
Man I wish I knew about the precut xpel thing sooner. I have been so careful but have a scratch in the shiny plastic. I may attempt to use the xpel precut hood/mirror and fenders as well... since I already have a rock chip on my hood.
good job, Alex - just got 2024 canyon elevation - I'd like to add a black oak light bar - you mentioned the AUX switch - how do I connect the light bar to that switch - normally with Black Oak light bar - I would connect ground wire underwood somewhere, then connect + wire to somewhere in fuse box - please advise
Thanks for the info, I just purchased the 2023 Canyon AT4, Question is, how to leave the radio on while out of the truck, & the truck not running? Thanks
I have a 23 canyon and have had problems with Sirius radio. Had to reset signal multiple times and finally had to hard reboot the radio which led to the infotainment screen freezing. And would turn off even with the truck off. Finally had to disconnect the battery. Still having problems with Sirius xm. But what can you do if the infotainment screen doesn’t turn off besides disconnecting the battery?
Awesome video, thanks for sharing! Do you have the technology package? I don't, I'm wondering if I add a front camera if I can tap into the infotainment system. I would think that it's either already wired harness wise or just get one. Time will tell, lol.
this hitch works!! www.amazon.com/dp/B01CVL3VI8?ref_=cm_sw_r_apin_dp_P1CYN6SCS64HF7M0GX40&fbclid=IwAR0KJJpHFv787bDumbRxNQSfjwyqlPVdewiXQTlsC-DJttx_b-MxDCvl_2g
I know the 2024 models will all have the 11" wide drivers info/speedo screen as standard on all models, I wonder how easy it would be to swap out out 8" units to the 11"?
Thanks for the tips. I have a 2023 GMC Canyon Denali. How do I delete the added display pages such as the Trip Meter, Gas Mileage etc. I want a screen with all the other stuff but not the added pages.
hit the menu select button on the steering wheel same one in the video the 2 squares and it will cycle back to your main dash screen, with out the added info..
thnx for the the useful tips, quick question is the GM tow hitch part number the same for either the Colorado / Canyon? I have the Canyon AT4... plan on getting the wiring receptacle and hitch soon, thanks!
Just bought a 23 AT4 , very cool truck, but the trailer hitch connector the slim top one for the trailer lights does not work on my boat trailer. I connect the same trailer to my Toyota and all lights turn on my boat trailer. I took to the dealer and they said the top hitch light connectors are finicky and giving issues. They said to use the lower round one that they tested it and it’s all good. Is this a thing, why can’t GM fix the the top trailer connection. Anyone else having issues with their hitch light connections
Anyone else having issues with their factory installed trailer light connections? My boat lights won’t turn on yet they work when I connect them on my other truck. GM says to use the lower round connection instead of the top one.
got a trick from keeping the dealers from trying to only sell you the loaded versions of the truck... because "they dont have any more of the elevations for 40k" instead they want to sell you a 53k truck
New tip request - how to improve the wireless charge pad? It is far too sensitive and never connects well. Second request - bed power plug seems to be limited to about 3 amps. Any way to improve this easily?
I had the Dealer install mine, I was under the truck before it was installed and noticed the mounts where it would go thought there were only 4 thanks for the info!
I had it installed by a Xpel PPF dealer..there is another company that sells kits on the Chevrolet Colorado Fb group www.theocdplug.com/shop/p/2023-canyon-colorado-center-console
That helps me decide I don't want one of these. There need to be aftermarket companies that you can take a new vehicle to and they go at it like the mining crew on Armageddon tore into the NASA mining machine. I would love all transmitting devices removed from the vehicle and its accessories, a lowering package so it's actually useful as a truck, the instrument panel and infotainment system replaced with gauges and radio and climate controls with physical buttons and knobs. The Cruise control, wipers and shift lever on stalks protruding from the steering column, the steering wheel airbag replaced with a padded horn button and all other airbags also removed, manual windows, locks and seat controls, a two-wheel drive rear wheel drive diesel drivetrain, the complete removal of abs and electronically controlled traction aids, physical metal keys the size and shape of GM keys from the 70s. In reality I just would rather have an 80s S10 with better quality control.
Can you send a link for the pre-cut ppf for the center console please? Thank you!
Best tip is to get in it and drive it….its an awesome vehicle! I traded in my 2020 Ram Bighorn on my new 2024 ZR2 and I LOVE IT.
Dude, this was my first day of my 23' Canyon and I used 2 of your tips...Subscription earned.
Thank you! I've waiting for someone to go over tips/tricks for my 2023 Canyon AT4. My fav is the how to add towing hitch to my AT4.
Hoping to see someone add a front park assist/sensor to this 2023 Colorado!
DUDE!!!!! awesome.
changing the speedometer theme is huuuuuge, the stock one is so busy and tacky.
Now put in a stop start eliminator.
@@cujoANDfriends this hides behind dash and remembers the last input of on or off so you don’t have to push it every time you start the truck.
@@cujoANDfriends I think the person meant to be permanently disable.
Do you have the link for the paint protection kit ?
@@troutstagI agree, I put one in my trailblazer.
Unfortunately it’s a law that all vehicles in the U.S. have this "feature’.
Where would the 220 amp generator be located?

Any tips on adding the factory brake controller as well?
Thanks for the tip on removing the center console.

What's the part called for the center console paint protector insert by the shifter. Thanks

I NEED the link to the protective film kit
how often do you do your oil change
Speed sign requires the connectivity subscription or tethered through your mobile device
How about a link for the shift console protector. I need one for my wife’s 23 colorado

I had to have my radio Amp internally replaced at the dealership for that same exact issue
What is the 220 amp generator underneath the rear seat ? I thought it was for the bed power outlet, but there's no bed power outlet.
That’s the alternator (220AMP GENERATOR) upgrade. The power outlet bed is 110-Volts.
WOW! Thanks for these tips. had no idea about the speedometer screen options
Thanks man really helpful info
Great video! Thank you very much.
Do you have a part number for the console protection?
Xpel P6086837-U

Is it that easy?
Damn, I wish I knew that console just popped out. Would have made wrapping it so much easier.
Thanks for these awesome tips!
Fantastic video, thanks!!
Where did you get the
Film for shifter plate
Xpel makes a kit
Have the 2022 Canyon. See some similarities' in some ways on some of the things.
Is the antenna the same part of the last generation? Would like to replace it with a shorter version
not sure

Where can you buy just the hitch receiver? I just ordered the entire hitch and the entire part is there already minus the receiver
I haven't seen it for sale online yet personally, however I heard someone found one on Amazon and installed it himself.. I don't have a link though.
Thanks buddy!
I had no idea Danny Carey gave tips on Chevy Colorados
Do the 23 Colorados have AFM?
Trailer hitch has 8 bolts 4 on each side

I have a Z71 ordered it's supposed the be delivered around December the suspense is killing me!
I just traded my 16 colorado lt with 86,000 miles on the 23 lt. Loving it so far. Was just curious what kind of trade in value you got for your 16.
about 19k with 100k miles on it
Getting expel done tomorrow, will remove the console for them!
Is there a link for the console protection film? I can't find it.

Is that the Matte Black one?

Nust baight mines last night and mpg is 8.9 how the heck? I thoigh it was supposed to be better.
Thx,bro
Good video…the background music was annoying!!!
Some aftermarket company needs to start 3d printing the center console cover. That piano black is crap.

Thanks buddy now can you tell us how to change between km and mph I accidentally got stuck in km and don't know how to change back
