Hi Tyler, My name is Don Burke. I'm a 70 year old disabled Vietnam veteran. I love to fish for bass. I truly enjoy your videos. I always learn something new from you. I feel blessed every time I watch your video. You're a very nice young man. Your parent should be very proud. God bless.
I would like to see a progressive video series "Purchasing Guide" on rod and reels wherein you start with the all around baitcaster/spinner reel and rod combo to begin the bass fishing journey (which you've already done) followed by what rod should come next and why (include budget options maybe to appeal to larger audience).
Just started back bass fishing at age 62 & bought 2 Lews combos, one spinning & one bait caster. They're great. Loved your college videos & your display of your faith before you started fishing. Love to see young people not ashamed of their faith. Blessings to you & your future wife.
Tyler, I watch three people every chance I get, you give the most insight to techniques and whys, being older and just getting back into bass fishing I had forgot so much and you continue to help remind me and teach me more.. and I’ve been replacing my old gear as money allows and have been buying Lew’s thanks to you. Oh and would love to replace another 30 yr old bait caster... keep up the great videos
Tyler, you gotta be one of the most humble youtube anglers and only want the best for each of your viewers. I really appreciate your professionalism but also extreme genuine personality. Keep it up bro!
Hands down, you're my favorite fishing person to watch! Favorite for many reasons such as how informative you are, your professionalism and your enthusiasm! You always back that talk with a good walk! Love it!
Something which would be interesting to learn about is setting expectations for failure. How frequently do you get skunked out on the water? How long can it take you to actually find fish? Your channel is full of great information, and I can get some sense of this watching your tournament vlogs, but cool to see you talk directly to that point. (That being said... IDK if it would make a super popular video)
Before I found your channel my pb was 1.8 pounds and I had only caught 3 bass and now, 3 months later my pb is 4.3 pounds and I have caught 14 bass. I have an old diawa and I have been wanting to try out a newer reel like an abu Garcia or a Lee’s but to own one would be so awesome! I am thankful to have what I do have if I don’t win but it would be so awesome to win a really nice one like the classic pro. I have learned a lot from you and I just wanted to say thank you!
Haven't used any of the Lew's items yet but I'm interested in trying it out. Would love to see some videos on smaller ponds and various ways of punching heavy cover with tons of Lilly pads
Hi Tyler! I started my own channel not to long ago and you were one of my biggest inspirations! I would love to see how to fish small ponds or overfished ponds as I haven’t been able to find a tutorial that works. You’ve helped me a lot and God bless you!
Just in the last 24 hours, I found you music channel (great music), got my 9 year old son watching your videos (and subscribed) and now my wife is watching your videos. One more kid and the whole family will be hooked....it was a good day :)
I’d like to see more bank fishing videos, as of right now I’m a 14 year old living on Long Island with out any access to any kayaks or big bass boats, on Long Island there is a lot of pressured lakes and ponds and I’d like to know a little more about how I should fish a pressured pond with only one rod and a reel, hope you read this, love the content god bless❤️
You’re tips have helped me a lot and been able to fish with more confidence. Thanks to you I haven’t got skunked anymore. More pond fishing videos would be nice. Thank you!
Grant Kelley try a ned rig set up that can catch anything. Maybe a plastic swim bait. Try to fish slow as well. Or a weightless fluke can help as well.
I was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer Three years ago. At the same time I really got into bass fishing. Your videos made many of my treatments move a little quicker. I’ve enjoyed your videos and have learned so much. Thank You
I hope I win Tyler! I’ve never won anything but yeah good vid! I want a collection vid. Like a what tackle u have in ur boat. And then the tackle I would bring in a tackle backpack and your tackle you have In your house like a tackle wall or something
I just got this Lew's classic reel the pole is nice is next week for me. Is my first one. But I'm a big ABU Garcia guy for 30 years now. Is this my first new reel in 15 years I'm happy with it so far. Can't wait to get it all together and use it. The best ball bearing is ceramic only for me I'll change out all the bearings out for ceramic bearing. Very easy to do it.
i just bought one of these lews reels last week and it works excellent for what i have it set up id love to see a video of you 6 rod sets up laying on the boat spec for when you tournment fish
Just bought a Lews Laser RZ....haven't even got it wet yet. Would love a another to have a different line, lure and rod set up like you have on the boat. Thanks for teaching us all!
do you think graphite frames are good is there any difference in the grahpite frames as the price increases such as this reels frame vs the crush which both have the same frame materials
I'm 51 and hated fishing my hole life, now that my dad is sick and can't fish no more I bought his boat and started fishing . I'm HOOKED ON IT, I'm out 2 /3 times a week. I liked to see an episode of a day your struggling and how you turned it around. Being new to game I have a lot of struggling time but it's just so damn fun.
I'd be interested to see what baits are best for the fall transition as water gets cooler. Here in the Midwest the weather has become much colder and my go to Texas rig hasn't been producing much lately.
Love the channel I quit fishing for a couple years when I got too catch up with life. Then one night I went down a rabbit hole of your videos for like 4 hours and now I just bought a small Jon boat and I’m getting back into it
Can’t think of anything in particular, but I really enjoy watching and learning from your videos. You’re the most regionally accurate TH-cam angler I’ve found. Thank you.
I’ve used Shimano reels for years. I hear nothing but good things about Lew’s reels, this would be a go gateway to try one. Enjoy your tips and tricks videos.
🔥👊👍, just bought the 99.00 lews, used it today, i caught a 38" redfish and 15 trout, 10" to 17", it is a Awesome reel, ALL your Videos are spot on. God Bless
Loved the video. Went with a cheaper bait caster because It was on sale then bought a cheaper combo that was a more reputable brand and realized the 1st was better. Now we just need a crash course of the most common techniques and rigs to learn to catch those first bass. Thanks for the content.
Huge fan of the channel. As long winded as you are, it's extremely beneficial as I'm just learning how to fish. Purchased my first bait caster this summer (was a clearance item). I've found that I love throwing it, but nest quite often. I will definitely look into this budget friendly one. Thanks Tyler! Keep up the good work.
I've got a few Lew's graphite frame reels and they're great, but after frog fishing for a season sometimes things in the reel can get out of place because graphite isn't quite as strong as aluminum on those hooksets, so it'll get less smooth and feel/sound slightly grindy. But that was just one reel 🤷🏼♂️
Looking for a basic cranking reel and this maybe what I am looking for. Vid Topic: Love to understand your decision making on when to change lures types to make a pattern. How do you dial in the bite? A fall midwest bass bite is tough and find trouble developing a pattern.
Great channel for those who are new into fishing like myself and dont really have anyone in their life to teach them about fishing. Would love to see more crankbait videos especially looking at differences between and when to use each!
Difference of different lines to use, mono va fluoro, vs braided when to use them, and which rod pairs with the line, MH vs Heavy for different styles of fishing
Loving the content! I can always count on the video I need. Learning to be a better bass angler has been made so much easier with your channel! Keep it up!
I subscribed to your channel earlier this summer after your "how to rig" and "how to fish" every soft plastic lure videos showed up in my recommended feed. I took what I learned and have been catching way more fish (even if it's on my lone/old spinning reel). Win or lose, a big thanks to you for creating informative videos that can translate for new anglers looking to get more serious about the sport.
Dude watched this a couple weeks ago, grabbed one and matched it with the abu Garcia vendetta 7’ medium heavy, I’ve been catching fish way way more since I’ve been watching you and learning from you. Please come to New Hampshire for a 100 ponds episode
Would you be able to a video on how to adjust the brakes and tension for different types of jigs? I bought my first bait caster a couple weeks ago, it’s a shimano caius 6’6 combo, I’ve been having some problems with backlash, every few casts. Thank you for supporting the bass fishing community, with your helpful knowledge and attitude.
Bass fishing tip. When your useing a top water weed less frog and you get smoked dont freak out let the fish take it or wait about 1 to 2 seconds. Because the fish will be swimming down so you will not miss as much fish because of the angel of your line
I’d like to see a video on how to pick a good stretch of docks to fish. Also a video fishing 50 docks with a Texas rig and 50 with a jig to see which produces better for you.
I need to go through your videos for reading the line when using rigs like drop shot Texas. I struggle with reading the line when I’m getting a hit and keep missing opportunities
I keep hearing my buddies talking about fishing hollow body swim baits during the fall. I would like to see a breakdown of setups and techniques you use for catching those large fall bass
I have one baitcaster from the 80s and it doesn't work to great but I really really want to get into baitcasting reels. You should make a video branching out from primarily just bass fishing. Do some like carp of catfish stuff and explain cheap rigging options.
I would like to see an indepth video on your preferred set ups for your favorite lures. Goin to Lake Fork for the first time later this month, would be cool to have an extra reel I can depend on if my American Hero breaks or backlashes.
I got that same reel 1 week ago and fished with it 4 times and so far I love it. I'm not familiar with bait casters bc it was me first one but for the price it is smooth and comfortable to hold. If ur just starting out or even been fishing for a long time I would definitely recomend this reel
Hey Tyler. Good video. I just got my first lews product, the american hero combo. So far I really like it. I do alot of pond bank fishing so would always love to see more of that. Thanks.
I hadn't thought about Lews reel cause of the costs. Didn't realize they made a budget reel, not only under $100, but $60 is prime for me. Thanks for the review!
Got a deal on a 7:5:1 reel at Academy. It's a world of difference using that compared to a 6:5 reel. Topic around how you approach fishing new waters. I'm sure it varies a little whether it's tourney related or not.
Tyler, I am retired and am working hard on learning to fish all over again. Thank you for each video you produce. They help refresh my memory. Currently working on the Chatter bait. Thank you again. Jim McCool Wichita, KS
fishing litterly saved my life. thank you for all the tips and trick videos you create for us! I litterly use them on the fly, out on the lake at Fort Campbell, maybe a video on spinner baits, how to use them and what colors are best for the different seasons.
Thank you for this video. I’m just getting serious about bass fishing and looking for some quality products that are affordable on a tight budget that will help me be more effective.
Hey Tyler! Can you cover how you know a spot has fish in the area, when to switch spots, what lure to throw based on what type of cover you a throwing etc.
Hey Tyler, What about trouble breaking off while using a leader. Is a leader always good, and if so, what is a way to reduce having the line break during hookset? I have used leaders almost exclusively during the past year, and always tie it on with the Uniknot. What are your thoughts?

I learned about your videos q couple of months ago and they have helped me so much! I have caught more bass in the past few months than ever. I would love a video on your favorite lure/bait and how to fish it. Have a good one guys and good luck fishing
Line comparison video would be great. Keep the great video content rolling. Direct, informative, and a great variation of content. Keep up the great work!
I would like to see a video that specifically deals with casting techniques with different rods and what exactly to do after the hookset. For example, keeping the rod tip in the water to avoid losing a fish. We see it done but how many new anglers understand why it’s done?
Love your channel and faith! I owe the discovery of your channel to my son who showed me a few of your videos. Thank you son! I would like to know what you think the best spinner/buzz baits would be for fishing slight timber on Lake Somerville? My family owns a family farm 20 minutes away from Lake Somerville so we fish it a lot. Thank you for the time and effort you put in your videos to help teach people that don't fish for bass that often, become better. Have a blessed day!!
I bought Lewes reels because of you. I did not have a positive interaction with the Lewes representative at a show in Minneapolis two years ago. We enjoy your videos and liked the fact that you graduated from college.
Great videos! Just getting into bass kayak fishing and I have learned a lot from your channel. Would like to see a video explaining line differences and if one is better for all purpose fishing.
It’s also a great reel to have on a rod that’s more of a seasonal technique. Instead of having a 150 - 200 sitting around that gets less usage. Grab a few of these instead. What’s your opinion on slack line hook set vs tight line hook set. Maybe do an underspin video
God bless.

That reel looks "Reel" good. Could you do a vid on the best jig colors for fall fishing?
He has done many videos in jigs. Just work them slower in the fall. Nothing different.
Natural color jigs and black and blue the only two you need to work anywhere.
@@84FrankDaTank Thanks for the tip
@@AlexKing-we9oq Definitely make sure you're at least fishing that jig on a medium heavy to heavy action rod.

could you do an overall tips and tricks video for fall fishing?
Hey Tyler, What about trouble breaking off while using a leader. Is a leader always good, and if so, what is a way to reduce having the line break during hookset? I have used leaders almost exclusively during the past year, and always tie it on with the Uniknot.
What are your thoughts?
I noticed that your lews sticker came off of your reel. I have had the same issue with my Lews reels. Wish Lews would use a stickier compound for it to stay on there. Even though I did contact Lews and they sent me some replacements. Which was awesome!

I bought Lewes reels because of you. I did not have a positive interaction with the Lewes representative at a show in Minneapolis two years ago. We enjoy your videos and liked the fact that you graduated from college.
Video idea: different types of casts tutorial. Skip cast, flipping, etc !!! I would reallly enjoy using that LEW’s reel 😍
I would agree Lew's has some of the best budget friendly reels. I have the xfinity combo, I don't go fishing with without it.
Yes, I’m a budget reel type guy. Never had a Lew reel before. Thanks for the review.
Can you make a video on the fall transition and fall fishing tactics
Thanks for the info on that bait-caster. How about some tips on colors for fall fishing
