- Whats going on yall Rob here with a little review on the 14 foot field and stream scout canoe. I've been searching for all very economical canoe. And I found this 14 foot field and stream scout canoe and sale for $300. I've been looking all over the Internet for used canoe and I could not even find a used canoe for under $400. This 14 foot field and stream scout canoe only weighs 85 pounds although it is a very awkward 85 pounds. It can hold 765 pounds in the canoe. In Illinois if I put a trolling motor on it I have to title and register 28 bucks . but if I just use it as a regular canoe with paddles all I have to pay is six dollars a year for water usage stamp. So let's see how this goes doing some fishing on Powderhorn Lake Illinois this year.

That document is the MSO. You mail that in with the receipt and the state mails out the title and registration.
Do not add swivels seats..it becomes a totally different canoe...capsized mine yesterday
I have a swivel seat on mine - even mounted higher than normal. Outriggers make the difference.

How did this cost $300 two years ago but $480 today? Lucky to get one used for $300. Either these have been redesigned or people are marking this up significantly.

Canoes come in boxes? I thought they just came unpackaged
300 is such a deal, today they cost twice that and no body has any stock as the stores panic and dumped their inventory when COVID hit, finding a used one for 300 would be a deal

I know it is what he said it was. what I'm saying is, it looks to be made by the same company. in other words. folks may get a better deal buying the Sun Dolphin from walmart. Field and Stream is just HIGH
