9:20 when he’s talking about that repression of desire the example used doesn’t make sense to me: this isn’t someone moving from real desire to fantastical desire but from fantastical to fantastical-once-removed, so when Zizek then says this repression is at the centre of love it feels like there’s some muddling going on. Any thoughts?

I Think he means that the male porn actor was turned on to the porns more than the actress herself, so he can returne to make Sex to her. So the repressed Sexual desires are in themselves sometimes safer and easier way to erotic satisfaction. Und thus, the repressed itself is being at the heart of the erotic. The Relation between love and Repression, he tried to demonstrate with the other example, about the american series, which the main character stays a spy, as a condition to love, because it would be a catastrophie if she loses herself entirely.
