  • We are officially starting our quiet time journey with my littlest and I wanted to share this journey along with you. My littlest has just turned two and is no longer napping. In our home we do a daily independent/rest time every day after lunch, so it is time for my toddler to settle into this routine!
In this first video, I share with you the quiet bins we will be using for the week, why we use these quiet time boxes, and some of the tips and tricks for getting started with quiet time.

So glad you are doing this series! We are starting quiet bins with my 18 month old daughter this week. She still naps, but I want to introduce her to the idea of enjoying quiet time. I printed your free labels and made a bin for each label to use during the month. So far we have used the beads and pipe cleaners, which she absolutely LOVES, the imaginative play "cupcake soup" from your book, which she also really enjoys, a magnetic quiet bin that I made which she did not enjoy so much, and a button bin, which she was wild about. I set the timer for 5 minutes, but she went for 11 minutes on the bins she really enjoyed, which really surprised me. I am so happy you are sharing your journey and I appreciate all the tips that are helping us to be successful!
