Over the years I have been homeschooling, many, many things have changed. My view on homeschooling - and what makes for an amazing education - has flipped entirely. As a classically trained and seasoned classroom teacher I have had a lot of 'unlearning' to do.
One amazingly powerful tool I now use while homeschooling my own children is child-led learning. I was inspired by Julie Bogart's book. "The Brave Learner" and leaned into this idea of finding some sparks to help get my little ones inspired and learning all on their own. Along with this idea, I know think of myself as the 'introducer' in my household. I try hard to introduce my children to all sorts of wonderful things, and it has become so much easier the more I do it!
In this video I share with you 8 ways to spark some child-led learning in your homeschool. I hope it is just the spark YOU need!
