Chad, from a KY 4plate that sit countless days watching my horses and standing up and stepping onto one of my favorite horses back to go across the field. It could have been the wood dad got but we had to wait 1 year before a year until we made it black. I don’t have a clue what it was but it was tary type black stuff. You’ll NEVER regret making a fence like that. I did a lot of talking to Jesus sitting on ours and also just sitting there with not a worry in the world watch the livestock. I love to see your chapters of your book unfold. Keep up the good work~Donna
I love the idea of the fence you are gonna put in & a unanimous decision on the holding pen by all of the cows & Tater says go for it buddy .. We love watching anything to do with the farm & all of the livestock, it beats housework hands down.. LOL Glory will surprise you shortly with a calf or 2, she is big..
I love your ideas, Chad they make sense. I pray for Grandpas good health and Grandma too, and all Doss family. You are such a loving family what a blessing.
❤❤❤ Yes she the reason I ❤ highlands, she took my ❤in beginning 😅😂😍❣️... Unreal how much this channel 😲 has grown, n I ❤ Grandpa n Grandma LeAnn too, Adler was my morning 🌞 n it's Awesome how far they've all came n Grown 🤟🏻 JuneBug 🤩💯❣️
I was 🤣 at Maximus playing in the hay. It's so funny when they do that with the bales. Can't wait to see what you do with that space. I know how you all like to be close to your animals. Hope you grow a garden too. Nothing like fresh veggies that you've grown. So much better than store bought. Even though you don't like a lot of veggies. LOL! Your Dad is in my prayers this coming week. I know God is with him all the way. 🙏 God Bless and Love you guys!! 💕💕
Chad, love watching you and your family, especially Rae . 😊❤. You may already have this in mind. I caught another You Tuber, and they have a hay barn like covering, I don't remember how many bails of hay it holds, similar to yours. Also, It makes it easier for them in bad weather and they don't get moldy. I know you have many things in the planning. I'm excited for you and your family. What a dream come true. God's blessings for sure. You honor Him,and he'll honor you. Much love. A fan of you and each of your Doss family farms 😉
Chad, Doss Farms....you have some nice straight trees. Why clear and doze just to pile and burn? We called a logger and gave him first shot. We tagged trees we didn't want cut. We made $20k on our 105 acres. Then we hired the dozer. Think about it.
I think your a riot! 🤣🤣🤣 The calves are growing fast. There is a lot of things you can do with 40 acres. You can even change it later on if you want to. It looks super now. Lots of love. ❤❤❤🙏
Chad, I’m happy you’re getting more chickens. I miss hearing you say “look at all those chickens “ lol I never get tired of seeing the cows. They are all so beautiful/handsome. Even Frank! 😂. I think clearing out more of your property is awesome. You’ll be happier too! ❤
For what it's worth, my opinion is that it is too soon to make a dozer decision. As you said, the cattle are doing a wonderful job. Plus you are still making decisions on where you want to put stuff. I understand there is a cost involved regarding hiring, but if you can wait for a full year in the property, that, to me, would be ideal. Whatever you decide, I shall enjoy watching the Chad How Too guide. Xx
Chad, if it were my place (which it isn't) I'd clear the perimeter and where I wanted fence lines, but I wouldn't doze a lot of land. You can always take more later, but you can't put it back. And it's so pretty. The cattle will clear everything up to 6ish feet and you'll be able to see them. I like the idea of the 4-rail Kentucky fence as you described it's location and design. As always, my love and prayers to all the Doss family. And I say Amen!
Hello from Jenkinsburg, Georgia!!! Absolutely love those beautiful longhorns!!! But Chad June will always have my heart ❤❤❤…God Bless all of the Doss families!!! Love all of you ❤❤❤❤❤
All of your ideas sound good 👍🏻! I like the idea of using the Lane Shark to create a path to the pink fence, then measurements😊! The 4 board fence would be really nice😃! Glory just likes keeping us all in suspense 😮! Take care Chad and family! Thanks for sharing, God’s Blessings ✌🏼🙏🏻🤗💕!
Sounds good with the fence, I suggest you at least mirror the 2 gates on your path so you can arrainge the 4 gates in different patterns so you can send the cows from any of the 4 fields into any of the other 4 fields. Then you could make the alleyway from the house to the 4 way gates a working area with the arrowquip installed along one side of the path.
Hi Chad, Rea, and the boys from Glen Burnie, Maryland. Praying for all the Doss’s. I know it will be hard on all of you when Grandpa Doss has his surgery. Take good care of your mom.
It's not just about you seeing your cows - we learned in th 20 acres that they like to feel part of the family, that they like to be able to see you, to chill out close by - and mostly they are far more friendly when they know they live with you, not just as cows in the woods. Love the idea of the rail to the fence that you can sit on and chat with them. I also agree that having a well mown area between the woods and the chickens makes a huge difference to the predator load - even you dad is catching stuff worming its way into the poultry palace from the woods close by. a nice grass area to hang out, that the boys can have RC vehicles perhaps, or just play ball, that's a Vista from the back porch family space - sounds great to me - you might even have a few raised beds like your dad! If it's fenced off, you can let the chickens visit to eat all the bugs some days I love all of it, and that you have enough acres to keep lots of trees, and have the best of both worlds. Hugely grateful that you share it all with us
I’m amazed that Glory still hasn’t had her baby yet. The anticipation is killing me! The other 2024 babies are all so cute and it’s fun to watch their personalities develope.
I don't have any pasture on my place...I gave the last two acres to my son for his place. You've got me thinking about just fencing through the woods and letting some cattle reclaim it...
Yup! I totally agree, you do what you please. Longhorns are magnificent forgers, they will make the best of whatever feed you open up to them and slick right up.😊 God bless ya'll.
Thank you. I had to put my chickens behind Premier 1 fencing and keep it hot. I’m down to 3 chickens cause I let the fence get grounded out. Have taken care of that problem now. Glad you are getting more chickens. They are fun to watch.
Chad, will the wooden fence be strong enough to contain the cows by itself? Can you make a multi purpose deer stand style observation deck?.Think about the longer term maintenance too.The cows will be harder on a wooden fence than the metal tube one Be careful about the snakes when your clearing out that new area also.🙏💪🙏Be safe and keep having fun
That's the perfect place for the AArow Equipment to be placed near the double gate, Amen and Amen don't work to hard and God bless everyone in your family and prayers and hugs and love for everyone 🙏✝️💜
👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻Howdy Doss Family so happy to see you today🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🥰🥰🥰🥰.Got to love them Longhorns but part of my heart belongs to Junebug Highland she is in a league of her own 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻
Great video, you have some really happy cows/steers. Love the new plans, I would like the same to sit and watch the animals is so relaxing. Living the dream ❤
Hi Chad, you and Rae have done so much to your new farm since you moved in, I think February. It’s gorgeous there, every where you look all your hard work is sure showing. 👍👍❤️❤️🇨🇦
I googled how long it takes for a cow to calve and it mentioned that the longer it takes the more chance of having a male calf. Can’t wait to see how true that factoid is. 😊
That fence that you want to sit on, it’s gonna have to be pretty tall so you don’t get the horns from your friends when you wanna sit and look down upon him. 😊
Good evening from northern Minnesota. Those cow's are looking great. I can't believe that she has not had that calf yet, this year's calf crop is a heck of a great line to have great genetics.
Chad and Rae, I just love all the longhorns, cows, calfs and Junebug. I could watch them all day. They are so beautiful. Chad, when you do go into that thicket please be carefull of snakes. I think that you and Rae have great plans for your land. The holding area would be very helpful area to have. Thank you for sharing with us. Love and prayers to you, Rae, the boys and to all the Doss Family. ❤

Can't wait for Glory's baby it's going to be beautiful ❤️ Like the way you are going to do the space for more pasture and to be able to see the cows better 😀 The idea of the fence with the seat on top so you can set and watch the cows is a great idea 💡 Praying for your dad and mom that everything will be good 👍 God bless the whole Doss family 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 Love you guys 🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️
Hi Chad,Rae and boys your idea sounds really cool I think it would look really magnificent. Your animals are looking fabulous and your land and house is looking great I know you are doing more. And with a logger they have a wood chipper that makes compost for your grass
It was logged before we bought it
Trees may have grown to size since then....maybe 🤔
We bought it six months ago….
Oh my, I just noticed Lady Tipsy's horns are still growing! I see the pink at the base! Wowzer, she'll be huuuge!
