      Bob Nelson nobody said they should stop the skits. but there are videos that are literally 80% skit 20% actual knife content. it should be the other way around. they don't have to act silly most of the video to be funny

      People really can say what they want and we're happy they do! In the end we will allways do what we feel is right and with that we will not please everybody every week. If we feel like making a comedy than we will without a doubt make a comedic video because that will make us proudest on that specific moment and the same goes for the more informative video's. Thanks for your kind comment man! cheers!

      Stevan Social I think there yard is in the middle of the tiga Forest

    • @stevansocial7980
      @stevansocial7980 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lance. I think you mean Taiga forest. And No. They are Dutch and we don't have Taiga forest here in The Netherlands. That's why I was talking about 'the yard'. The forest we have left here feels more like a backyard. Still it is a nice channel and funny, obviously inspired by some other channels about bushcraft knives. Not my channel btw, bcs I suck at filming and can't edit and I'm way to serious. But I do know about bushcraft and have tested many knives in the field. Hultafors is represented by Snickers Workwear here in The Netherlands and was basically only used as a work knife. With the Dutch Bushcraft Association I introduced the Hultafors brand in the small Dutch Bushcraft world by using it as our instructors knife and also selling it too the people taking our courses. But 70% of the time I use my bushcraft knife for food prep. 30% for other camp tasks like making small kindling. So one very important thing about any bushcraft knife I use is how easy it is to clean and how much water does it take to clean. Not important if you are camping at the shores of a lake but very important if water supplies are limited.

    • @lancechristy2595
      @lancechristy2595 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Stevan Social .....
      Forgive my misspelling The taiga is a region or biome not the name of a particular forest if I'm not mistaken the Netherlands is within that regionwww.blueplanetbiomes.org/taiga.htm

      Bought many knives so far and I only regret one thing: I regret not starting with morakniv. Honestly I didn't like their design but they were recommending the mora garberg so I ended up buying one... then another and then another... and now I want another. It's the best brand out there... the build quality... the steel... heat treatment... sharpness... it's just outstanding... and the comfort? Godly.
      I LOVE MORAKNIV AND ITS ALL ON DUTCH BUSHCRAFT KNIVES!
      So, I'm glad for your new knive!

When the knife just needs sharpening take out my leather belt, put some toothpaste on the inside and use it for stropping.

      Dutch Bushcraft Knives The handle is nice I have to admit and at the end of the day at the price point of the entire group we should have them all :-)) Another odd-ball made of the same steel as the hultafors Sk5 is the Bahco wrecking chisel knife in both a chisel tip and a knife shaped version, rather like a large puukko knife, got one for around £15.00, great full scandi grind, too fine for wrecking as it can fold a little but for bushcrafting amazing light chopping performance, all in the geometry and great belly. heres a couple of pictures, one with handle removed s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/0b/85/df/0b85dfb37cf5b1c4533565608b15d618.jpg and rusknife.com/uploads/post-13385-0-73233500-1456519348.jpg Enjoy!!!

    The Mora Robust does not strike a ferro rod out of the box. But the spine is unfinished. I rounded mine near the handle where my thumb sits. But squared it off further down so I can strike fire. Then polished it up to be pretty. Best of both worlds. With an unfinished spine, you can make it your personalised knife.

    Your knife collection is attractive to me, I have looked every knife review you guys put on TH-cam, now I am always waiting for your new video. I want also see more diffrent typ of knives, like Big brother Fällkniven A2, maybe the new modell of Condor K-tact Kukri with covex grind, Bark River Survival , Bark River STS-8. And I know you guys don't like Cold Steel, but maybe a SRK or Trail Master... Something like that

    Nice video as usual! At the end of the video you said that this knife could keep up with knives costing a lot more I was hoping you could be more specific. About as good as an s1 pro for example ;)

    I can get companion and opinel in the stores. But I bought heavy duty and buck 110 and others from internet shops. We can buy Hultafors for ax , I don't see OK 4 yet.

    The Hultifors HD is an awesome knife just needs the secondary bevel removed and once ya do its amazing, glad to see budgies on the channel. Hey guys try taking a look at the Real Steel Bushcrafter "PLUS" It looks very interesting, 14C28N and very high scandi grind and also a flat grind that is actually more like a full convex...I WANT ONE😁

      +Airik1111 the real steel knives look amazing for the price. We got an offer from them to get some for free but ehh.. we refused haha.
      I like the looks though but we need to have freedom to say it sucks if it ends up ... Sucking

      Dutch Bushcraft Knives I endorse that! This is Top Gear for knives. You need to be able to make a recommendation you believe in to stay credible, despite the comedy that your channel will become known for. Stick to your guns... Or... Um... Knives 😁
      Of course, you could just but one and give a very balance and honest review, then offer to the company to do more honest reviews of they send you product gratis and without obligation.
      The key thing is, if you're honest and credible, your reviews will sell their knives if the product is any good. If their knives are...Not so good... Then they shouldn't send in their product, and we'll know to stick with Mora, Hultafors and Falkniven 😋

    Great review guys, and it does not help that I want to buy every knife you test. I generally like my Mora Robust, but the handle is too small for my XXL hand... Seems I need to get into the OK4 world.

    While cutting up bricks and metal is... interesting and does show the knives toughness maybe showing some knife stuff might be helpful too, like how long it held its edge how easy/hard it was to sharpen, what angle the edge is etc. or just saying it if you don't want to show it.

    Idk who would suggest you take out the shenanigans but aside from very very honest very fair with y'alls testing and opinions, y'all are awesome and full of life and passion in what y'all love and are willing to share it all with us everybody's a damnd critic but no one asks anyone to watch anything on TH-cam t.v. movies any format, you choose to click on and watch if you don't enjoy it there's a million other channels on millions of other subjects so click elsewhere and shut the f up with criticism. Thank y'all and God bless you and yours.

    Btw, please keep the music you guys have! I love it! I hate when people have an iconic song for their show and then change it later on to become more "hip" or whatever. Also Where can I hear the full version, the one usually used for patreon giveaway at the end? this episode is using it a bunch and I love it! sounds epic! keep up the good work guys! love DBK!

    I don't know if you guys can get Condor knives over there, but in the states they are cheap (a bit more than the Moras, though) and very tough, and usually come with great leather sheaths.
