Yes, absolute must have! I got one of these to open packages because I was tired to cleaning adhesive off my pocket knives. It’s as cheap as a box cutter and tougher than most pocket knives. The carbon takes a good edge too.
I thought about getting one for each room, but that would look crazy.
So I’ll hide them all around the house.

Same but all theses moras are really nice in stainless have a few pro c, 546, kansbol 😁. Just love them about to get the garberg.

Have you ever tried a carbon steel knife? In my opinion most people grossly overestimate to Chance of rust. I use my carbon steel knives for everything (including fishing) even when it's raining and i never had a rust problem. I don't even oil the knives too often. All i do is: after every use i strop the knife shortly and if it became wet i dry it.
@@jimihenrik11 I think it depends on where you live or use your knife I live by the coast with humid weather and the salt will eat through a carbon blade pretty fast of you dont clean it every few days.But for freshwater environments that are humid I agree Carbon rusting is a bit over hyped still can be a issue though.
You can get 100 moras for the price of one $200 Knife.
My math is slightly off.
15-20 great moras wins. Like some.of the more expensive options but for the price can't seem to get away from Mora... And for.the price might as well get the kansbol/garberg models.

Morakniv do make some excellent knives for the price point, very hard to find fault with them.

This knife has a 2mm thick blade, the robust has a 3.2mm. That’s Why the basic mora broke.....
If that had been their solid all plastic without rubber grip core it wouldn't have broke. I take these apart to make my own puukko handle mods and its such a pain in the butt.

@@abletondwellings Yeah but its sometimes more money... I can buy a Mora Robust HD knife for $13 but to buy a blade of the same quality would cost $20+ . The Robust makes a very good custom blade one of the best ones I've used. I also used to use Hultifors heavy duty green handled knives but they stopped making them and started making their own "buscraft" knife but charge you $45 .
I actually like to use the sheaths by cutting the down, they work good for making inserts for your puukko sheaths. I've found that the best ones are the red wood handles Mora #1 & 2, the handles come off easy. Also the sheath can be cut down perfectly to create good lock and protection inside the leather puukko sheaths.
I use Thompsonsknives.com or Ragweedforge here in the U.S ....They both have a good stock of scandi/puukko knife making stuff.

Mora makes the best value for money knives in world history, hands down. They are so inexpensive that people just throw them away when they get dull and buy a new one, at least where I live. Yes, good for the all important economy, but this wastefulness hurts my soul. I own several Moras myself. My favorites are the carbon steel ones, albeit stainless steel is more practical, especially if you live in a humid climate. A few strops on my very hairy arse is all it takes to bring my carbon steel Moras back to razor sharp.

On hiking trips I carry the companion HD carbon and the basic stainless and usually I prefer the basic, simply because it is finer and faster.

Bought Mora Basic last summer in campsite shop purely because there was morakniv for €8 😂. Since then I threw 3 other knives (lot more expensive) in the scrap bin 😅😅
I love Morakniv not so much there carbon it rust very quickly. But there stainless options are great. Have a few of them
Why won’t you do a buck 119 video. I’d love to see it with a factory vs dbk edge. I’ve seen a hundred mora vids and own a dozen of them and love them but it seems like the only US knife you review is the crappy OKC Mark whatever you claim is a specops knife. It’s the worst knife they make. You can do better guys. I know you do bark river and the bench made freek so I wasn’t serious about the ONLY US knife.
For the price of that basic, I can only buy 5 plastic camper knives. What a difference in value. Overpriced plastic cutlery vs $10 Mora.

I appreciate that you make knife reviews that are kind of funny regardless of if i personally find things funny or not I just want to give as feedback that i would love to hear the volume levels mastered a bit better. Sometimes i watch your videos while my girlfriend is sleeping and i constantly feel the urge to adjust the volume up and down (even tho she sleeps like a dead rock anyway lol) because the 'fun and shouting parts' are so much louder. Sort of like tv get uncomfortably loud in comparison to the movie.
Nevertheless I think you doing most things right :)

One of the things i love about this channel is that every other word is not 'tactical' most of the others i have watched is all 'bug out bag' or 'tactical carry system' blah blah blah if you know bushcraft you have a massive head start if you do end up in trouble in the wild. But most of the other channels treat their videos as if it's a military survival class.
