You are correct, the charged buster is such a game changer. No longer do you have to rely on boss order and learning which robot masters are weak to which weapons. With the charged buster you are on an even keel with every enemy. Also, the bright flash weapon is a bit of a game breaker because it is a souped up flash stopper.
I love the Pharaoh Shot, Dive Torpedo, and Wire Adapter in this game! Especially the Pharaoh Shot; nothing like your own Spirit Bomb hovering overhead, torching all enemies.
What will we discover blanty obvious spoiler. We have a commando situation but with out Arnold Swartznager being involved. my daughter being held captive Arnold’s daughter was in commando. Then the infamous betrayal against the true villain.
My favorite game in the series! I love how Dr. Cossack was a real robot creator with his own fortress. Was epic to unlock his portrait and get teleported to the snowy siberian woods. ❄️ Followed of course by a super scary-looking first boss.
As a MM4 rookie, I started with Toad Man. Now, I prefer starting with Pharaoh Man or Drill Man. Pharaoh for the epic Pharaoh Shot or Drill Man to get Rush Jet.
I find it very interesting that so many reviewers put Mega Man 4 at the top of their lists. I started playing the Mega Man series when Mega Man 2 was released and it was love at first play. I got each subsequent game as soon as they were released and my opinion was always that all the games were amazing, but a certain intangible magic was present on 1-3 that dwindled starting with 4. My ranking off the top of my head would be 2,1,3,4,6,5. Nice video! -Cast
That’s a solid list! When I first tried out MegaMan it was at a friends house. MegaMan 3 but most friends I had growing up swore by 2. When I had the chance to got out and pick up the series with my own money 4 had just come out so Insorts followed suit with the later half of games and went back and picked up the original trilogy later. mm1 was really nowhere to be found at that time but I love MM3 and mm2 from my own personal experience..I have 4 towards the top but but it’s not my personal #1. I do love the series that much more as they continued on mainly bc of the many things they implemented to innovate gameplay like the charge shot and slide. It just gave me a lot of options when playing through the series and I love revisiting them with different strategies each time
This has always been tough one for me, my favorite is 6, but mostly because of the rush armors and alternate paths. 4 is definitely second followed by 3, 3 would probably be my number 1 but I really hate the Doc robot fights and stages lol.
That’s a solid list! for me in regards to the nes titles it’s so hard but as of now it’s 6,4,3,5,2,1 what is the bottom half of your list? Doc robots can be a real pain just an endurance round to get through both sections growing up I would have no choice but to stock up on etanks 😆
Agreed! It doesn’t feel as if you can sorta just charge shot your way to victory in many of the scenarios. With MM3 many of them really required you to search them out especially with doc robots and gamma to name a few
I don't agree with any of this...I've always thought 4 was the worst MM game, for the most part. And I don't agree with everything being "beautifully crafted," which you said over and over again.
@@ganeshgavande7351 I think I really need to give it a full playthrough bc from what I played I did enjoy it and I think it’s a bit more challenging too
That’s the MegaMan complete works book I believe it’s the second edition. It’s got some great information throughout on development of the series throughout
@@RockinKatReviews Yup, I recognized the pages. I got the Mega Man Complete Works book last Christmas (along with Zelda's "Hyrule Historia") and it's so cool!
I'm so glad to revisit these games and having some of the background you're bringing to the table. Also, discovering your channel when you made MM2 is making me anxious for the next installment 😂
🙏 im anxious to mainly bc we always have such long periods between new OG MegaMan games…..hoping one day we will see mm12 bc honestly I thought they did a great job with 11 and I liked the double gear system
Thank you for sharing your story and it’s great knowing you were able to enjoy this game during such a critical time in your life. It is exciting to see where the MegaMan series will be going forward with many Capcom franchises making their returns as of late.
After beating the original 6 I still believe this is the best one overall
It’s is very debatable it’s right there
2 is the GOAT
@@PeggsworthI love 2 but for me 3 slightly gets the edge due to the slide and doc robot stages
@@RockmanShadow you forgot rush
This was my first MegaMan game as a kid still one of the best too
I agree with this it is one i tend to always go back to
Same though. I remember renting it and being blown away. Especially by the music.
@@AndrewsWideWorldofGamingMusic was great Wily castle theme and Toad man’s theme was a bop
I like the animated series references great review
🙏
Great job with this still waiting for mm12 😅
🙏 one day…..

It can be a little broken at times too especially in 5

I always knew deep down that Triple H was a connoisseur of the classic MegaMan series.
😆 💀
So first time through. Did everyone else start with frog or Pharoah man? Lol
Toad Man on my first ever playthrough
Drill Man every subsequent one knowing you unlock Rush Jet after beating him ^_^

I like how you pulled out the punch out 👌🏼

Buff guy plays my favourite series, hell yeah!
I was inspired by my hero Gutsman 😆
A big nit-pick for me is with all the castle bosses the developers couldn't have figured out a way to use all the weapons?

MM4 IS SO GOOD.
Sadly Sega didn’t age well 😂
😂
I think the charged shot is taken from magical kids doropie
You might be on to something because the Krion Conquest did come out a year prior to MM4. The wand shot feels very similar to the charge shot
