Tango, my dude... suggestion for pricing... sell them a bundle for 1-2 diamond blocks, and they can fill it with whatever. It would only equal one stack in total, and work like a shopping bag!
Use a clock that's stable without the area being loaded. A good choice is a redstone torch running into repeaters that turn the torch off. Have that trigger a dropper that spits out either a stackable item, or a nonstackable item, into a hopper that faces into the dropper (So it puts it straight back in). Use a comparator to read the single strength of the hopper, and when the dropper spits out a nonstackable item you will get a single strength of 3, when its a stackable it'll be a signal strength of 1. Use that signal strength of 3 to activate a note block with a creeper head, making the "hiss" sound and ANOTHER dropper with stackable/nonstackable item leading into another hopper... same setup... and have a signal strength of 3 (nonstackable) from that lead to a dispenser that fires TNT into water. When someone is in the area, there will be a continuous clock that occasionally and "randomly" makes a creeper sound... and occasionally afterwards will result in a [safe] explosion.
I honestly dont think that redstone is terrifying to start with, since you can make a lot of usefull contraptions with little complexity. It just becomes daunting, when you watch videos of pro redstoners, where you have no clue how anything works, especially when they build ultra compact contraptions. I think redstone has a good learning curve and it will take quite a while until you have to bother yourself with terms like "bud powered" "quasi connectivity" or "directional redstone". What Tango does here is high level redstone, you are not supposed to understand whats going on just like someone who starts to learn software development has not a clue how an OS works in detail.

Hello Tango I have an idea! Make mystery redstone shulker boxes in the center of the shop where hermits pay a certain amount of diamonds to get a random mystery shulker whose quality varies! It would be really fun!😁
Think it would be cool if the redstone starter box display either rises up or drops down from the ceiling, to give more motion to the shop. Loving the season so far
An idea for selling redstone boxes/kits could be to base them off of different hermits' redstone boxes, cycling between different hermits like a clearance sale every once in a while
Tango, I have been watching minecraft videos for 12 years, and as I watch your redstone contraptions, it reminds me of the modded minecraft I binged so often. It is amazing what one person, can create in (mostly) vanilla minecraft each week. Never thought any of this would be possible. Thanks for being a bit crazy!! ❤
Honestly what happened with the TNT is both hilarious and REALLY unfortunate. The moment you said there was an explosion and that it wasn't a Creeper, I had a gut feeling that something involving autocrafted TNT was somehow involved. Sure enough that's exactly what happened, I find it absolutely hysterical, but it was probably a massive pain to fix. The bright side is probably a better result than the time I accidentally cleared my inventory with a command and had to spend hours remaking all of my items.
Maybe combine the two lamp designs? Remove the spruce trapdoor and use an acacia trapdoor, so that you can still see the redstone. Best of both worlds :P Awesome shop btw, you really aced the detailing!
Cool trick for redstone lamps, you can power them while making them look like they're hanging if you put a pressure plate on top and a naked armour stand on top of that (maybe 2, facing 90 degrees apart) Also giving them iron boots usually looks good, like the metal part of a lightbulb.
As "Mr. Wiggly" looks a bit like a steampunk warden, maybe call it Punkakes in tribute to everyone's favourite Black Mines nemesis. I think the prices you've set are a great start. The market will give you the info you need to make any eventual adjustments. The shop is looking fantastic. =)
"The market will inform you to make any adjustments" ... So they're not to have just a few of the Hermits meet to decide and change what the prices should be?
@@BTGTB No, I meant if everything sells too well, Tango can raise the prices a bit, and if they don't sell at all, he can lower them, but I think that's his plan anyway.
The minecart in pearls super smelter reminds me of a toy train that ran around the top of a toy shop I used to visit as a kid 🥺 I love that whole room so much, it’s so cozy!
I wish I hadn't seen the permits shenanigans just so I could laugh harder at that Cub's showing. Opinion about the prices: honestly they should be higher.
You should call it tango teaches tek (when you go over how redstone works.) Have a couple books that are redstone guides, and a secret door opened by one of the books to access storage under the shop. All of these are just ideas that you think would be cool.
Dude I am in awe of your building abilities, and your redstoning abilities, and your ability to teach this all to us in a way that makes sense-- Don't sell yourself short. Ever. Period. I have a suggestion for the shop, mostly just like. Aesthetic. For the acacia pipe, on the blocks that don't have trap doors, add some stone buttons where possible? I've seen another builder (it might have been fWhip) do that and it really helps make it not as flat, if that makes sense.
I love the floor in the redstone shop, it reminds me of a carpet you’d see in a themed disney store if that makes sense? make if it’s too repetitive add a trim around the walls like polished deep slate or blackstone c: and for like ceiling lights maybe use the “redstone version” but use spruce stairs! just my thoughts! :D
A cool steampunk-y detail that I found once was using compasses as gauge. By sinking them to a lodestone in whatever dimension your build is NOT in, it makes a little spinning gauge that adds movement and catches the eye.
@bobosaurus331 first was actually the orbital strike tnt canon that can instantly nuke any coordinates on the map within a certain range. I don't remember who made it. But decked out is up there too. I didn't watch enough of last season to appreciate the technical details of it thoroughly, I only saw a few people play it
@@Freelix2000 he made a real time map health bar for active players. The attention to detail he put into the player's off hand was applied to every block of that game. It is absolutely one of the most impressive redstone builds I've ever seen, yes, but compared to some of the things I've seen Doc do or the scicraft server it's not insane insane. The insanity of decked out comes from the immense labor put into that love. In my opinion.
something interesting i found for turning bamboo into sticks is that turning the bamboo into planks then sticks is more efficient that going straight from bamboo to sticks. i don't remember the exact numbers but I tested it with one stack of bamboo for each method and plankks gave me more sticks.
I love the look of the shop immensely. Especially the onpen floor desing. You could use it not only for the starter kits, but also for special sales. I think the products are pricy but the are not overpriced.
"Mr. Wiggly" looks like a Create Presser + Cauldron setup that you can make. I can imagine pulling the levers down on either side and the grindstone extending down and slowly pressing something in the minecart - nice video!
The shop is fun. The only price that seems off to me is target blocks (unless you plan on doing villagers for wheat). I think you should consider swapping out some of the blackstone for tinted glass to look down into the sculk room; that'd help with the depth you wanted. I'm really interested in what your planning on doing with that room. I have no idea if it'll be like a haunted-house or a silly rendition of the deep dark.
It should be mentioned that the prices in the redstone shop were initially set for stacks of 16 items! You cut chat's consensus IN HALF! I do think they're at a good price point now though.
I love that little furnace/minecart/grindstone contraption. I imagine it as the grindstone being a mold pushing down into the vay (minecart) compressing the redstone into solid blocks
your factory is a perfect example to teach someone the difference between parallel vs serial processing power, and what happens when you trade one for the other. it does stuff slowly... but it does A LOT of stuff: parallel processing power. the bamboo farm only makes three things, but it makes them FAST: serial processing power (and it traded a little of its serial power for parallel when it changed from just bamboo to bamboo and planks and sticks)
Instead of the redstone starter kit shulker box being in a barrel, have the shulker placed and when they mine it, a new one is dispensed in its place for the next customer. That way they can see the box and its contents easily.
I haven't seen Cub's POV of that yet, and I seriously thought he was just after audio for another horn! In fact I think he _might_ have snagged that "What is happening" clip, if I'm remembering the start of his previous video right.
TANGO - In the centre of the Redstone shop you could put a glass display case containing a functioning Etho Hopper Clock (like a relic), in homage to his lordship. 😊

It might be worth considering adding chiseled bookshelves to Two Tek Delay, demonstrating the redstone capabilities of them when used with hoppers and comparators. The only thing is that builders sometimes use chiseled bookshelves as decorative blocks, but that shouldn’t be much of a problem, as they use other redstone blocks like that as well. You could also (if you haven’t already) add chiseled bookshelves to the factory (using the bamboo planks) so they can be mass produced along with other redstone materials.
Some posters would look great on these walls (Two Tek Delay) - some might be useable as advertisement through the shoping district as well. I also think Grian's "Hang in there" poster in the permit office would fit quite well somewhere

I think you can automate the Redstone starter kits with your factory. Instead of a crafter you have a barrel with filler items somehow and trigger which items to populate into the starter kit. Besides shulker shells, you have everything you need to automate a full redstone starter kit I believe.

for that empty wall next to the hoppers and the such, Mumbo talked about making something so that you could get a guide for certain redstone machinery, maybe teaming up with him for that corner could add a bunch of lecterns there, that could also help people get ideas of what they could make
I think you could use copper bulbs as they’re redstone components, and then you’ll be able to decorate better because you don’t have to worry about power

Two Tek Delay is definitely one of my favorite shops this season, it's got the punny name, the active displays, the incredible build, 10/10
My condolences on the loss of your Coyotes to Utah, sir.
so sad :( just when they were about to get better [at least that was the plan with all that dead cap getting of the books]
Still.in mourning
@@TangoTekLPi love ur spelling dude
@@WildEsoterica That is how mourning is spelled...
@@liamengram6326 unless they were talking about the still.in
Maybe combine the two lamp designs?
Maybe Clyde? For the fourth Burning Dark warden that didn’t need to be added?
"The market will inform you to make any adjustments" ... So they're not to have just a few of the Hermits meet to decide and change what the prices should be?
@@BTGTB No, I meant if everything sells too well, Tango can raise the prices a bit, and if they don't sell at all, he can lower them, but I think that's his plan anyway.
@@InfernaFiresword There's neither pun nor punk in Clyde.
@@StarshipToMars I was making an (apparently too subtle) jab at some of the methods by which the American government tries to "fix" the market.
Oh, that was a permit task? I seriously thought Cub had just done that to get an audio clip for a horn!
They shouldn't, specially after how long it took for Tango to build this
Tango: "Are my prices too high?"
Me: "... bud those prices are a STEAL"
I think the change from 16 to 32 was a really good call
You should call it tango teaches tek (when you go over how redstone works.) Have a couple books that are redstone guides, and a secret door opened by one of the books to access storage under the shop. All of these are just ideas that you think would be cool.
I wonder would the redstone starter kits sit flush on top of doused campfires? That way it could look like they are on a pallet on the store floor.
Dude I am in awe of your building abilities, and your redstoning abilities, and your ability to teach this all to us in a way that makes sense--
Don't sell yourself short. Ever. Period.
I have a suggestion for the shop, mostly just like. Aesthetic. For the acacia pipe, on the blocks that don't have trap doors, add some stone buttons where possible? I've seen another builder (it might have been fWhip) do that and it really helps make it not as flat, if that makes sense.
26:01 “everything is better stripped” - tango 🤣 - new goat horn?
The Tiny Block Heads look so great above the barrels, It almost looks like that is the place you sell the items at instead of the item frame barrels.
This season, there's a diamond inflation. You might adjust your prizes to be in diamond blocks...
I love the floor in the redstone shop, it reminds me of a carpet you’d see in a themed disney store if that makes sense? make if it’s too repetitive add a trim around the walls like polished deep slate or blackstone c:
and for like ceiling lights maybe use the “redstone version” but use spruce stairs! just my thoughts! :D
When tango is alone, I pause the video so that he can breath. Man he speaks so in rush.
A cool steampunk-y detail that I found once was using compasses as gauge. By sinking them to a lodestone in whatever dimension your build is NOT in, it makes a little spinning gauge that adds movement and catches the eye.
Mr. Tango said yesterday on stream no video today because he had hockey last night XD
Tango this entire episode: "I don't know, it's a thing"
I think you could sell smaller stacks, like 16 instead of 32. I can’t imagine many people needing 32 crafters at a time.
I love how when Bdubs build, he thinks about every block and perspective and when Tango builds he just does whatever he’s thinking; but hey, it works!
The redstone factory with its elaborate crafting dependency system is the second most impressive redstone project I think I've ever seen
1st being decked out of course
@@Freelix2000 It was made by cubicmetre
something interesting i found for turning bamboo into sticks is that turning the bamboo into planks then sticks is more efficient that going straight from bamboo to sticks. i don't remember the exact numbers but I tested it with one stack of bamboo for each method and plankks gave me more sticks.
how did it just now dawn on me that tango tech is Dr Doofinshmerts XD hes always tangoficating things
That was literally his Season 7 theme.
I'm sure Perry will come and visit him soon
I love the look of the shop immensely. Especially the onpen floor desing. You could use it not only for the starter kits, but also for special sales. I think the products are pricy but the are not overpriced.
Etho will be so happy he doesn't need to go mining in y-58 like a scrub :D
"Mr. Wiggly" looks like a Create Presser + Cauldron setup that you can make. I can imagine pulling the levers down on either side and the grindstone extending down and slowly pressing something in the minecart - nice video!
The prices look fine. I feel like with the permit system Hermits are willing to spend a bit more than they would in other seasons.
diamonds are easier to get in this version they're playing on.
I did a little happy dance when I saw this pop up in my feed 😃
your factory is a perfect example to teach someone the difference between parallel vs serial processing power, and what happens when you trade one for the other. it does stuff slowly... but it does A LOT of stuff: parallel processing power. the bamboo farm only makes three things, but it makes them FAST: serial processing power (and it traded a little of its serial power for parallel when it changed from just bamboo to bamboo and planks and sticks)
Mr Wiggly looks to me like two stacked cheerleaders with their arms up xD
Instead of the redstone starter kit shulker box being in a barrel, have the shulker placed and when they mine it, a new one is dispensed in its place for the next customer. That way they can see the box and its contents easily.
1:55 The wonders of Permit Challenges
I haven't seen Cub's POV of that yet, and I seriously thought he was just after audio for another horn! In fact I think he _might_ have snagged that "What is happening" clip, if I'm remembering the start of his previous video right.
TANGO - In the centre of the Redstone shop you could put a glass display case containing a functioning Etho Hopper Clock (like a relic), in homage to his lordship. 😊
horn ideas
0:28 "words are hard"
5:07 "why do word have to be so hard"
You could perhaps add a discount table thing in the middle of the shop, maybe that could make the shop feel less empty
Tango: „For once I don’t have any trips, vacations or events on the schedule for the foreseeable future!“
MCC: „Am I a joke to you?“
Tango: „Do you want an honest answer?“
In fairness, he doesn’t have to travel for MCC.
Mojang really needs to fix that bug, so many people make sugar cane farms that spit out bamboo
Some posters would look great on these walls (Two Tek Delay) - some might be useable as advertisement through the shoping district as well. I also think Grian's "Hang in there" poster in the permit office would fit quite well somewhere
The rest of the hermits are playing minecraft while tengo is playing factorio.
Doc crying in the corner
if you sell redstone kits you should use Etho’s shulker box auto-filler. it would make the process of making the boxes so much faster for you.
tango: *shaking in the corner over mismatched blocks*
also tango, the entire last season: - oh is my stuff mismatched lol sucks for u, in fact let me make it worse for yall ocd havers

I _may_ have replaced a certain slab with a stair in the Black Mines on my copy of the s9 world download...
@@dbseamz i know exactly the slab u talking about tho
I think you can automate the Redstone starter kits with your factory. Instead of a crafter you have a barrel with filler items somehow and trigger which items to populate into the starter kit.
Besides shulker shells, you have everything you need to automate a full redstone starter kit I believe.
My alarm goes off in less than 5.5 hours, but now i guess imma be getting less than 5 hours sleep tonight
Update: tango said its 1:30 in the morning, and I checked my watch... and it's 1:33 lmao. Thanks tango
for that empty wall next to the hoppers and the such, Mumbo talked about making something so that you could get a guide for certain redstone machinery, maybe teaming up with him for that corner could add a bunch of lecterns there, that could also help people get ideas of what they could make
WOoo Two Tek Delay!
I think you could use copper bulbs as they’re redstone components, and then you’ll be able to decorate better because you don’t have to worry about power
