The last game was the one that made me laugh the most. The timing with Grian farting before exploding and sliding on the grass was ✨✨ p e r f e c t . ✨✨
I’d say Grian has proficiency with intimidation tactics in this game. In those cases where Grian’s hunting and is on top of Scar, Scar tends to nat-1 on metaphorical saving throws against him
The deer should have incentive to eat more mushrooms by having that also take small amounts of the hunter's sanity (as it likely does for the player anyway). The hunger meter is useful to force fast rounds, but the deer slowly whittling sanity seems like it could be fun too.
It could also help to force the hunter to kill deer, since as the game is currently there's nothing preventing it from just going on forever if the hunter doesn't kill anyone
the sanity goes down gradually whatever happens, so they could wait it out, or if they're on voice call then they could occasionally convince the hunter to kill real deer

To be honest, there are other types of mushrooms. Gold mushrooms don’t alert the hunter
