Roll Tide! Knew this day would come, always dreaded it, really happy with the hire. Coach deserved this opportunity, happy Saban is staying is Tuscaloosa. Basketball is rolling, Alabama Athletics are in good hands.

I mean exactly. Everyone thinks he’s gonna fail anyway. He just won 14 games with a much worse roster. Nobody thinks he’s gonna live up to the standard. If he gets fired he makes ten of millions. Fuck it, what is there to lose at that point?
He will get more out of this group than Nick got out of his team last year. Nick was the best to ever do it, but the quality control had slipped in terms of assistants, off field coaches, etc.
Why do you want him to have pressure? I’ll rather have a confident coach instead of a idk or maybe coach .
@@Markingramforheisman And for years Saban needed to update his defensive philosophy like he did with the offense when he brought in Kiffin, so that’ll be nice. Dallas Turner was the best DE in college football and Saban had him 53% of the time in coverage

It’s gotta be a tough pressure dynamic to deal with when you’re being compared to Saban even in the hat department.
As a life long bama fan , i know that ive been VERY spoiled over the last 17years & that will never be replicated. But, i hope that Deboers can keep Bama in the SEC & CFP hunt every year. He now has top tier talent , but , is in a much tougher conferance. All i can do is support bama & hope theyre still a machine. This Bama offense/defense will be unlike anything weve seen there before. Offense will be better, but concerned about the defense.ROLL TIDE
I hope we can keep our DC for a few seasons before he takes an HC position.

I wish someone would talk a little about Mrs. Terri and her impact on recruiting and if Mrs. Deboer has met with Mrs. Terri.
I really believe that the Mrs. was a huge part of CNS and the Tides success over the last 17 seasons. I would be interested in hearing how the Deboer's see things.
I was never a Saban Fan. I enjoyed his success at Bama and understand Saban mentality. I want a coach who is STERN but accessible Debo will win Natty in 2024 and 2025. Come back here in two years

@@Pondy33 UGA early & either in Norman or Death Valley late in the year. My guess is Alabama & UGA will play yet again in the SECCG. Alabama loses and makes it into the playoff with the 7-9 seed.

He’s a legend for sure. And I think Alabama did a smart thing by hiring someone who wasn’t from the nick saban coaching tree. Nothing against saban but look at what Alabama was after bear Bryant retired. They hired people from the bear Bryant tree and the results were not great.
