I moved to Alabama at 7 years old an my team, ND, won a national championship that year. So when i got older life as an ND fan in Alabama, after 93, was tough. So they are my sports nemesis. My sisters and several friends and family are fans. I'm also a huge cfb fan so I respect them and what Saban was able to do. After saying that i think they made a great hire with Kalen Deboer. He is a winner and great coach to pass the torch to imo. He just wins and especially wins at home. They few losses didn't come in front a home crowd, covid the exception with one, which is incredible to me. I wish they had made a bad hire😂 but unfortunately i think they got this one right😢😂

Loved how he said " last year WE were a 12-2 team in national title semis" loving what he's doin every day, got all the confidence in the world. This 1st season will be the "easiest" to win a NC. All the players are hongry, they feel disrespected, highly energetic, embraced the new staff, and have experience against SEC,now I know Deboer doesn't, BUT the rest of the SEC don't have tape on Deboer at Bama, what he can do w this talent. Where as we have tape on everyone. It's gonna be interesting and excited to see the Crimson Tide standard continue! RTR

  • @sc100ott

The expanded playoff is going to take some pressure off of DeBoer.
Up until now, the expectation has been 12-0 or 11-1 plus an SEC title, and a trip to the 4-team playoff. Up until this year, 10-2 wouldn’t cut it at a place like Alabama.
But going forward, 10-2 (possibly even 9-3) will still get you into the playoff, and a shot at redemption.

Saban is still involved, as an advisor only. And DeBoer + his staff welcome any knowledge the GOAT can give, because he's the GOAT. You'd have to be a prideful idiot to think you could just dismiss his experience out of hand.
