Also Discover card has this option and Experian... can you create a video about how good the coverage is with Experian and Discover? No other credit card offers this and well Experian is where credit begins... In this dangerous era it is very alarming people can easily find out where you live and even when you bought your home. And what if a year goes by and you end services.. does that essentially put back all that was removed staring back at ground zero and how do we behave online to prevent this occurring in the first place if possible?
Great question. If you cancel after a year, no your information will not re-appear overnight. But it will slowly start to re-appear as the data brokers "reharvest" it. Thank you for sharing regarding Discover and Experian. I have an updated video on Credit Monitoring coming out that will cover Experian's packages, Discover I will need to look more into (thank you for your suggestion!)
@@homesecurityheroes ok great to hear! I am following you and I also saw another channel claiming delete me was in the line up. He compared the agencies and who can do what. I would like to see what Experian offers which is the family plan not just two people but letting us protect our children in the monthly price... it was not easy at all to set up and I got frustrated and canceled it so I'm absolutely looking and federal regulations are doing nothing about this disaster. Thanks for the reply!
Sure thing. Good luck in your search! Not a big fan of Experian personally, they haven't handled consumer data responsibly (big data breaches in South Africa and Brazil) and their family plan pricing gets expensive. I like the simplicity of Aura's family plans, right now I'd say that's the best "all in one" solution for protection against cyber crime. IdentityForce is good too, though more expensive.
We need to call out the rapist mentality of Google and TH-cam and everything from Silicon Valley, you agree to the T&C, or else....seems pretty rapey to me. I think eBay started it... no option to opt out is there ? All these aps, FB, Gmail, all sell your info right ? If it is free, then you are the product.
You don't *need* to sign up for any services. It depends on what you are concerned about. Personally I like the convenience of ongoing identity monitoring but some of it you can get for free with Credit Karma, or Chase Dark Web Alerts. A data broker removal service, like DeleteMe, I do recommend for most. There is just SO much of our information out there. But if you go with one removal service, you don't need to go with a second. DeleteMe is the best one we have found so far, and you can create custom requests with it if they miss a listing that has published your info.
So let me get this right, Citizens United keeps their information/privacy with authorization of Government Policy and Law AND pays to keep what they have private paid via public tax dollars via the Government, but I have "Access" to unauthorized means of my information/privacy, and now have to pay for MY privacy with THIER Debt notes, via Federal Reserve notes. That's a Scam.
There's not perfect overlap. DeleteMe definitely has broader coverage than Incogni, but Incogni is quite a bit cheaper. DeleteMe does a better job of covering people search sites.
It's a better alternative than charging people to watch a video, I reckon. If we spend dozens of hours researching products and methods I believe it's fair that we attempt to monetize that hard work. First portion of the video also explains how you can do everything for free, so you don't need to use any of the services mentioned 🙂
Anyone can get a affiliate link even I can get one. It’s not the company giving that promo to him specifically it’s just a way to make passive income which is valid due to the work that was done for the vid
Affiliate links don't change the price they just give the reviewer a little compensation for the effort they put in. This video probably involved hours of research. It involved time making, editing and uploading. Why are there people out there who want everything given to them for free is a better question. Do you do any form of work that personally doesn't serve you for free? When you start producing videos on how you do things that interest you, you'd be foolish not to allow the company to give you a few crumbs. Look into it, learn how to build a website using WordPress and write about what you're really good at. I'd bet every company that makes any product you use has an affiliate program. Once you get the marketing system working for you, you won't complain about it any longer. edit: often an affiliate link will give you significant discounts. You'll earn more in savings than he earned promoting it
Does Delete Me include your maiden name or incorrect relatives you have no idea why you are connect with as well as your name that's misspelled and other various ways your name is out there on its own vs all the people you don't even know but these sites claim you live together or are somehow linked? I wish they had a family plan to also cover our children especially gamers as my kiddo is like most teens and i don't want her exposure either... how is this legal.. isn't it basically doxing?
I wish they had a family plan as well. What you can do from within DeleteMe's dashboard is perform searches for your name, including any misspellings. Then you simply click the results that are yours and DeleteMe will take them down. For family plans, you might consider Aura. They have a Safe Gaming software as well as parental controls. Their parental controls (powered by Circle) are good, we haven't tested their Safe Gaming software extensively yet so I don't have an opinion I can share on it.

The link went to a 53% discount? Do you have an actual code for the 68% off?
Link for deleteme doesn’t work!
very informative, thank you

LOL... Discover card doesn't offer anything!

Can you make a video on what would happen if you get a new social security number and name
Yes, I think that's a great idea. I have added to our content calendar 😀
Do you need to sign up for more then one service?

At least there's Bitcoin🙂
I love how none of these options are actually free that says a lot about your information and privacy that you have to actually pay for.
Privacy Bee has a free scan. Not sure how effective it is though. Found nothing on me.
Optery, which I don't believe we covered in this video, has a free scan! Check our more recent videos to learn more about it.
Does DeleteMe cover the same categories of personal info sites that Incogni does?
There's not perfect overlap. DeleteMe definitely has broader coverage than Incogni, but Incogni is quite a bit cheaper.
DeleteMe does a better job of covering people search sites.
Nice video 😊
Jeez... can I find one review of these kinds of services that doesn't also have an affiliate link....

Deleteme has a family plan, and you can add various spellings and names to your profile, from what I have seen.
Well that was a bunch of useless noise.
Can't understand anything you said
I can't either!
