Here's my opinion on this, it should be illegal for companies to sell data and collect data without the user's consent,
Yea, it's not right at all. I can search up anything about me or anyone by a simple search . I want all my info gone
Either that or not make it easily accessible by anyone on the internet
I agree, but personally I never read any TOS i just sign up and im 100% certain that by creating an account on any website or services youre automatically agreeing to give away all your data.
I think (maybe) they have the user's consent deep in user's agreement.
now I know a few areas to start purging my info and a little on how it works. Thanks for the lesson
You're welcome!
i stopped giving (reporting) my address to the DMV and solved the issues real quick...
whats the dmv?
@@supasounds2024 The RMV also the BMV
HOW do you have a DL without giving DMV your address?
How? Did you use a rental PO box address?
Right
These days there are an ungodly amount of data broker websites on top of the ones you have mentioned. It's due to the poor design and lack of privacy first default settings from social media sites that make data brokering a lucrative business, and one that probably acts like a head of the mythical creature called hydra.
The buyers of your information can also be scammers
2 yrs later did it work
wow that's only for rich people
Whow
I f$#k!ng hate computers, and DATA BROKERS!!!
Tell all the legislators and lobbyists about it. Pray on it. There's hope in JESUS❤❤❤
I tried to opt out of peekyou, they require a unique id they have for you to opt out but you do not have access to it so you can't opt out
