You should have done the Official Music video as it's WAY better and shows/explains much more. including clips of Audie Murphy playing himself in the movie "To Hell and Back" about his war time experiences, and the lyrics for this song uses his poem but it really covers the 7 days he locked himself in a hotel to get off the heavy drugs he got hooked on for dealing with his PSTD even his family thanked Sabaton for doing this song and not making it about his western movies that he made. "The Crosses grow on Anzio" - Oh, gather 'round me, comrades; and listen while I speak Of a war, a war, a war where hell is six feet deep. Along the shore, the cannons roar. Oh how can a soldier sleep? The going's slow on Anzio. And hell is six feet deep. Praise be to God for this captured sod that rich with blood does seep. With yours and mine, like butchered swine's; and hell is six feet deep. That death awaits there's no debate; no triumph will we reap. The crosses grow on Anzio, where hell is six feet deep.
As a combat Army vet. Weird little secret. A lot of vets aren't horrified or bothered by what they have seen and been through. They actually miss it. An think there's something wrong with them because of it.
Nice reaction 👌🏻 You should go back and see the official music video instead of the lyrics video. It does a better jobb telling the story and it hits harder emotionally. In it they have cut in scenes from the actual movie with Audie Murphy.
*Sabaton released after "Christmas Truce" two more new tracks from their forthcoming album: "Soldier Of Heaven" and not long ago "The Unkillable Soldier"......but you could also react to another new track like "Handshake With Hell" by ARCH ENEMY. I also recommend "What's Coming To Me" by DOROTHY. 🎵🔥🎸🔥🎵 🍀Greetings🍀 & 🛡Stay safe.* 🛡
Hi Ginger and Mike . I really like this video. This song is a book and a movie. The person the song is about played himself in the movie. I've watched the movie at least 5 times and I ve also watched most of his movies. The song 82nd All the way is also a movie called Sargent York in WW1. You should really check out the Official Video it has some info about Audie and his drug problem. Audie wrote Roses grow on Anizo . FYI Tommy from Sabaton also has his own band called Majestic. The official video shows him with all his medals on his uniform. You should really read his book of the same name. To Hell and Back. The new song is called The Unkillable Soldier. You should really check out their History Channel. Tommy has some videos on TH-cam that he's put out
Another new band to me.Really cool, thank you. When you guys get a chance consider Hearts cover of the LED Zeppelin's"Battle of Evermore"live. A real must see.Have a great day.
Doing research on Sabaton songs is pretty easy. Just go to their history channel and watch the video they've made about the song. 😁
While they have done most of them I think, they haven’t done all of them just an fyi.

"The Crosses grow on Anzio" -
Oh, gather 'round me, comrades; and
listen while I speak
Of a war, a war, a war where hell is
six feet deep.
Along the shore, the cannons roar. Oh
how can a soldier sleep?
The going's slow on Anzio. And hell is
six feet deep.
Praise be to God for this captured sod that
rich with blood does seep.
With yours and mine, like butchered
swine's; and hell is six feet deep.
That death awaits there's no debate;
no triumph will we reap.
The crosses grow on Anzio, where hell is
six feet deep.
