George Andrew J. MacKay (/məˈkaɪ/;[2][3][4] born 13 March 1992) is a British actor. He has appeared in the films The Boys Are Back (2009), Private Peaceful (2012), How I Live Now (2013), Sunshine on Leith (2013), For Those in Peril (2013), Pride (2014), Captain Fantastic (2016), Where Hands Touch (2018), Ophelia (2018), and 1917 (2019).
MacKay was nominated for the BAFTA Rising Star Award in 2014 and received a Trophée Chopard at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival.

A word to his Guide to Second date Sex director: He's got more than just teenage fans. And his beard in that romcom was so small and wispy and strawberry blond, that it was hilarious. He looked like the London version of a trying-too-hard Brooklyn hipster.
The beard fit the character, he's not quite comfortable in his own body and being quite awkward about growing up and becoming a man and the beard is a great visual clue to that. But as the director Rachel Hirons said it was not her decision, George was attempting to grow a beard in preparation for Ned Kelly. So it's sort of a fortunate accident. I guess she just assumed teenage fans based on the behavior.
In that movie he played an awkward young man who is struggling with his manhood, so I think that beard was well spot on for the character...

Oh man, I needed this compilation. Thank you so much for it! I'm on a bit of a George MacKay binge right now that started with "1917." Just saw "Pride" the other night, and found his character both adorable and endearing. Such a talented, versatile actor!
Chester Sakamoto yep same with me it started with 1917 then I went onto working through his filmography lol I can’t believe how many shows and movies he’s been in, just when I thought I’d seen them all, I find another he’s in! Lol.. my last watch was ‘The Devils Dosh’ highly recommend its only 28 mins long but really intense film but George is bloody amazing I never thought I’d see that side of him considering how gentle natured he is lol! 🤙🏼
