Thanks for the review. Been looking at the Pelagos for months now, Procrastination is my middle name. Signed up for my blue Pelagos this morning . Nothing in stock at my Rolex shop here in Christchurch , New Zealand but , it''ll be here in a few days . Can't wait. I'm a happy man even though I haven't seen it yet. Stay safe over there in the UK.
Some 50+ yrs ago as a military combat diver , I was issued a Tudor submariner that I still have . Until the birth of dive computers, watches were obviously a critical peice of dive gear . Even now , when I go diving , the superstitious part of me makes a dive watch a must . I always use my trusty Rolex submariner as I'm comforted by the knowledge of a backup if batteries or some unforseen occurance should happen . A lesson well learned 50 yrs ago in combat dive school is " one is none ". The Tudor Pelegos looks to be a watch that could easily fulfill that secondary backup role. Anyway, great video as always. Keep 'em coming.
Hands down my favorite is the Pelagos, been retired myself and living in the Caribbean the Pelagos makes more sense for my lifestyle. That automatic adjustable clasp a miracle when you are getting in and out of air conditioning all day long! Greetings from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷
@@BarkandJack Probably right. But I still reckon a Pelagos is a helluva lot more likely to taste salt waters than any modern Sub or Sea-Dweller ever is though...
Ive had my Pelagos for 3 years. Its my go to watch for day to day. Still looks brand new and Im a plumber/gas fitter. I wear it daily and it doesnt look used at all. My Omega's and my Rolli would never put up with this use and abuse. The bracelet extension is great too. As the day gets on, my wrists get swelled up, the extension kicks in daily for comfort and makes it that much easier and better to wear for me. I dont think Ill ever sell it or trade it. It truly is an amazing watch.
I'm literally deciding between these two right now! Perfect timing for this video, Adrian! I sold a black Pelagos a few years ago and it's the only watch I miss. I like the dimensions of BB 58, but the dial of the Pelagos is breathtaking... People won't like this, but the BB 58 just looks like a sub, basically, and the millions of other watches that have a similar aesthetic to the dial. The Pelagos is truly unique, even though we've seen those elements before in other watches of Tudor's past, never combined in that way with those materials. And you're right about versatility, not too important once you have more than one or two watches.
I've had my BB58 for a few months now and couldn't be happier. I understand the dislike of the faux rivets, but I never notice them when the watch is on my wrist (and note: I stare at it constantly...). I swim with the watch. I take the watch to the beach, on camping trips, but also wear it with tailored clothing. Getting a Pelagos would just be too superfluous - the 58 is already a great weekender...
I have had my BB58 black for 2 weeks and I couldn’t agree more. Rivets don’t bother me and I don’t notice them either. Pelagos is too big for me... what I need is a bronze 58, I would happily add that to the collection.
I'm on my 4th week with my BB58 Blue, haven't taken it off my wrist since I got it on at the AD, it's that good. The rivets bother me to be honest, but once on the wrist you don't pay attention to them, unless when you do and then you think "argh... fking rivets tudor.. why..." and then I move on. It's running 0,3 seconds fast per 24 hours, VERY impressive. Measured over 1 week! It has been with me everywhere, hiking, in the pool and I'm currently building a completely new kitchen with it on my wrist. Have knocked it a few times, it has a few marks already, no bother, that's what a tool-watch is for and why I bought it. I'm not going to "baby" it like I do with my other Rolexes.
The Pelagos bracelet doesn't auto adjust for your wrist, but for a wet suit. The springs are too tight for it to "float" on your wrist. Believe it or not, I found that I could never get quite the right fit with the Pelagos. Always too tight or too loose. What they need more than the spring system, is a couple more notches before the spring system.
@@ams914 Or at least include a half link. IDK why a half link isn't standard on all bracelets. You probably would've been able to get a correct fit with it
The only watch I own is a Pelagos LHD, presently on a canvas strap. I love it-and dive with it. I like it because it is all about form following function. No frippery. After two years as a daily beater, and I’m constantly in my garage building stuff, there isn’t a mark on the ceramic bezel. Man, it’s tough!
this is exactly why i love Bark and Jack! the content is always great but reading the comments gives you so much more, especially the little bits of advice from owners of the watch under review. Who knew a Tombow Eraser was great for removing scratches from Titanium? keep up the great work!
I was exactly considering between these two watches and always preferred the BB58 during my research. But you definitely have to try them in the store! The 58 just felt a bit too boring to me. The aluminium bezel and no crown guards doesn't make it rugged enough as I like to wear my watches daily for every occasion and they have to endure some scratches but still look good. Also I loved that the Pelagos uses titanium and has a sophisticated clasp and the lumed ceramic bezel. From the size the Pelagos suits my bigger wrist quite well so I just went for it spontaneously (the biggest purchase I ever made besides my car, lol).
The Pelagos would be really something special if it was 40 mm and had the same movement as the 58 and therefore of slimmer profile, I would buy the left hand one for sure. For me it is just a bit too thick, but an amazing watch. We all love the 58, wish they would just do some more colours, even their bigger brother introduced a lot of colours this year.
"..Can't wear a watch on the right wrist - it doesn't feel natural..." This made me smile because I've just bought a Pelagos LHD - which is specifically designed for the right wrist :-D (Of course I know where Adrian is coming from - I'm not sure I'd want it as my only watch. But as part of a collection it adds something a little quirky and different to the mix. And it's a little beast of a watch too - an individually numbered series with some little nods to Tudor's vintage watches made for the French Navy in the 1960s and 70s.)
I feel the same.. I try wearing my watches on my right sometimes to give my left hand a break and i done feel the same level of comfort. If I don’t Alternate a bit I find my wrist area on my left hand starts to look paler compared to rest of my hand and skin starts to look a little smoother maybe.. especially in the summer ..
Hi, The LHD isn't designed specifically to be worn on the right wrist, that's just an added bonus. The idea is it's still worn on left wrist and the crown & guards don't dig in to the wrist when working with the watch on. Either way it's an awesome watch and on my list to buy next.
@@King_Harrold That's interesting to know. Actually a lot of people have said there's no reason why you can't wear it on either side. Personally I am wearing it righthand though - it's just something different which makes a nice change from the norm ;-)
@@andrewwheeler8591 Yeah, winding this one is a wee bit awkward - I find you kind of have to keep switching hands and turning it upside down :-D (As I said before, it might not a great candidate for a one-and-only watch. But it adds some spice and variety to a collection.)
If could only have one nice watch, then I would choose the BB58. However, if I could have a Rolex Datejust, OP or Explorer as a second watch, then I would choose the Pelagos hands down.
I have an explorer and tried that pelagos on this week. I totally agree and now hesitating between that and a Seamaster 300 with blue rubber. Decisions, decisions...
@@samuellacroix9298 I have an explorer and was looking between Seamaster and Pelagos, finally went with a black Pelagos, titanium look & color is so good...
I own a early LHD pelagos, stunning piece but you missed out one of the most amazing things about the Pelli,,,,,, the lume !! Only the proplof can compete 😁👍
Great review: No one can really question the size of the 58 because there is the regular BB line at 41mm as an option or those that think its under-sized. The issue is for those who like the Pelagos but not the chunk and would like a more "sensible" fun option
You hit the nail on the head Adrian! The Pelagos is the toughest Tudor. Dare I say, it’s tougher, in some ways than the Rolex submariner. It’s got better lume, goes deeper, etc. but, the bb58 blue is more versatile, and more attractive. I have all versions of the Pelagos, including the first eta version. I want a blue bb58.
SG M I think the whole series will be legendary, for sure. The first one, with the eta movement will likely be the transitory legend that achieves grail status.
It is for sure tougher than a Submariner. The modern Sub (and Sea-Dweller too) is really a quasi-dress watch nowadays. In some areas (like central London) you also put yourself at real risk of being violently robbed if you visibly wear a Rolex on the streets. (These days my Rolexes are in the safe 99% of the time, sad to say.)
I love the Tudor blue dialed watches...both of these are beautiful, though I like the Pelagos slightly more. Thank you for a great comparison video Adrian 😊👍
Have the Pelagos and love it. Bb58 is super nice. Tried one on and really liked it. Once I’d put the Pelagos on that was it for me. It is quite chunky but wears ok if you don’t have very skinny wrists. The strap and clasp system is superb. It’s kind of like having a submariner that you don’t have to be too precious to wear. Fantastic watch IMO.
Great review! I agree, the Pelagos is a no nonsense divers watch. Like you said the Pelagos might not be that great when it comes to versatility, but nowadays there are people wearing s43's and James Cameron watches with dress shirts, so I don't think it really matters much. The Pelagos can do it all, be serious and fun like you said.
I love to wear my Pelagos diving!! And would definitely buy it again over the 58. I have a 114060 that I will admittedly probably not go diving with though😫. I love them both. Like everyone says, buy what YOU like.
I really wish there was a bigger clamour for thinner watches rather than smaller diameter watches. I really don't mind any diameter between 39 and 44mm, but the *thickness* of watches like the Pelagos is what puts me off (but not entirely given how cool I think it looks). Also, I'd love to see you do a video or even just a photo set of the Blue BB on different strap colours and materials. The visual quality of your channel is brilliant.
I purchased the black bay 58 blue with both Nato And Stainless that was on a waiting list. Im selling it unworn as I found it too small on my wrist but the Pelagos is a stunner and wished I had got it instead. Thank you David as you are always informative 👍
I'm lucky enough to have gotten a BB58 blue and a Pelagos LHD. While I love the BB58, the LHD has taken up basically all of my wrist time, it is just such a good tool watch, fantastic beater, and incredible dive watch. I take this Pelagos diving frequently and it already bears the scars of a watch much older... love it!
Don't compare the two watches by its sizes. The Pelagos is a true diver, therefore it's perpos is to reach best readability under water. Nothing more, nothing less. It's not a question about style.
Hi Adrian, great video I purchased a black Pelagos 42 in Sept. I wasn't sure at the time if I was going to like it as much as I should. The edges of the case were a little sharp around the crown and the bezel was very stiff. I have worn it every day for 3 months and it has become my daily watch. The bezel, with a little work, has loosened up to be functionable with gloves. With a 70 hr power reserve it really doesn't need to be wound. I have come to appreciate the titanium used in the watch as I also like a watch with weight of steel. This watch is really of better quality than expected as I wore it. All in all, it has surpassed my expectations. Keep up the great work.
Both great watches, tried the Pelagos on when I picked up my BB58, Thought it was going to be to big and light but I really liked it and I think it could be my next watch.
PaulW I was torn between blue or black at the AD , but ended up with the black because I got a great price , and wanted to add a blue diver further down the road, maybe the 58 or Omega titanium blue Seamaster 300 The Spectre watch, with the 12,3,6,9 on the dial, but in blue
Love my bb58 blue It’s just like my 5167 and explorer 1 All are great watches and yet it costs almost nothing But now I got problem All three watches 5167-1a,explorer 1 and bb58blue are all practical and great looking But I only have 7 days a week... Maybe you will only need one practical watch Now I’m feeling want to wear all of them even including my deep sea blue But you could only wear one It’s a very weird feeling and share with someone who wants to buy multiple daily watches
agreed...just ordered the black on a bracelet....the Pelagos is just a beast of a watch....not for me personally, I have an Omega Seamaster 300 pro that's already a beast of a watch. Hence the BB 58 black is a toned down more versatile watch for me.
I have a blue dial Pelagos and a black dial BB58. I have too many cool watches, these two are my favorites. Which of the two do I wear the most? Probably the Pelogos, but just by a tiny bit… The Pelagos is my beater, my black dial 58 my not beater lol
I like the pelagos slightly better, however I agree the blackbay is more versatile. I wish the blackbay came in a variant with square or rectangle hour markers, I really dislike round markers. Good job as always.
I will have to give credit where it is due. After seeing the Black Bay 58 blue on Bark & Jack videos. I was out today and a impulse purchase at my local AD , I got myself the Black Bay 58 blue. I love it too. I already have a blue dial Pelagos, a Pelagos LHD and a Black Bay Chrono. I have really got into smaller watches after being given my Grandad's vintage red label Submariner which I think is 37mm and I absolutely love that. Never parting with that watch. Having said that I have only sold one watch I was sold. That is a sore point. I thought I was mentally strong. Somehow a Omega AD managed to talk me into buying the 'Omega Commander's Watch'. Bloody hated it the moment I got it home. Anyhow , thanks to Adrian (think that is your name) , Mr Bark & Jack for bringing the Black Bay 58 blue to my attention, and doing a good review too. Cheers. John (My book comes out in a couple of weeks)
I don't see many people talk often about the detent to zero the bezel without looking. That to me is one of the coolest features of the Pelagos. Not sure if it exists on the BB as I've never tried one on. As someone who uses the bezel to time almost everything the detent is more useful to me than the expanding bracelet. Great video mate, Thanks!
I purchased a PELAGOS 6 weeks ago. still find myself looking at it . the blue color is spectacular. the LUM shines almost thru the entire night. I do not dive - just ocean/ lake lover. I think I made a great choice - you will too. ~JDS/CT
Both are beautiful & offer great value. I’ve owned a LHD then the blue but they are chunky timepieces. I’m waiting on the blue 58 that I’ll change to a rubber B tropical strap. I will never dive 200m so 58 is fine as my daily beater. If Tudor offered a smaller Pelagos I’d purchase immediately. I have a number of Rolex watches I don’t wear too often. I picked up a GO Sea Q 39mm & love it but I want a daily beater…
Although I wear a watch on my left wrist, if I got a Pelagos it would be the LHD model. There are two reasons: 1) I'd like that crown on the left side of the watch, keeping it away from the back of the hand, and 2) I really like the roulette date wheel. I think the vintage colourway is nice too, I guess that's 3 reasons, right.
well I think that the lume on the Pelagos bezel is amazing. It was a bit too bulky on my skinny wrist unfortunately. The BB58 on that mocha takes it to another level. I always felt it looked rather cold, now i want one...
If I were lucky enough to build my collection without thinking about money, I'd have both a BB58 (black), and a blue Pelagos. I like how the Pelagos is tech-wise the successor to the snowflake sub, while the BB58 is an homage for the older subs
I just left the Tudor dealer and looked at the 41mm Blackbay and then I found they had a Tudor Heritage alarm model. It has a dial date and a very cool bell alarm built in. Its almost 43mm which is perfect for me
I’ve had both of these, the Pelagos in black mind you, and definitely used it as a titanium everyday beater. The problem was that it was too chunky for everyday, the titanium held sweat a little too noticeably on the underside of the bracelet, and I always wished it was something it wasn’t. Design-wise it’s one of the most incredibly executed original designs out there and worth every penny. I just kept wanting it to be a Tudor snowflake sub and it can’t ever be that. Unless they shrink the dimensions down to roughly the size of the 58 it could tick many of the same boxes. The 58 was good but never fully comfortable with that one-trick-pony clasp. It really needs to adjust on the fly. I sold both and have a 116610ln now and I don’t miss either of them. It bests them both in each of their strengths. Except the bezel clicking motion on the Pelagos is exceptional. You can find the 12 o’clock position with your eyes closed, it’s very elegant and satisfying.
I don't know, Adrian. I love my bb58 blue, but when I hear you speak about the Pelagos both in this vid and the dedicated Pelagos video, it sounds like you need to pull the trigger and buy one. You sound enamored. I love it too!
Another great video Adrian. I personally have a Pelagos and love it. I also dive with it and find it one of the best dive watches I’ve ever owned. At depth it’s still very easy to read as the blue and white is a great contrast underwater. I’m not a saturation diver so the helium escape valve isn’t something I need. The BB58, looks a great watch too, not something I’d buy because I don’t need it in my collection but if someone gave me one, I’d still keep it and wear it as it looks a great watch.
Love the LHD Pelagos. Not usually a fan of faux lume, but it really works with the titanium and splash of red. I find the Blue model almost retina seering in terms of contrast. Also the hue is a bit “Bic”!
I have my blue Pelagos on a blue/red Crafterblue strap. They make rubber straps specifically for the Pelagos, so they fit perfectly to the lugs. The blue with red inner looks pretty cool to, in my opinion.
Truly convinced myself after researching and watching videos/reviews that I was all in and excited for the blue pelagos... then I saw it in person at the AD. Its just uncomfortably plain and underwhelming. The square indices IRL are odd and apparently on occasion fall out inside the dial. It also strikes me as not really versatile. Diving then yes probably makes sense, any other situation then no. The LHD is the pelagos to go for and redeems the line. The BB58 could definitely be a one-watch solution, the black BB58 is by far one of the better looking watches around. Beats hands down some more expensive watches for design and versatility.
Also kinda funny to think that the more functional diver accessory would have a date vs the watch made for style and that works better with a suit. You'd think you need to know the date at the office more then when diving...
Owned the Pelagos and lots to love about it but ultimately it was too big for me on a 7 inch wrist. The Pelagos is technically a better watch with the clasp and ceramic bezel and lume in the bezel but yeah... too big
I’ll go for the modern and efficient Pelagos. Don’t care about versatility. Owning different watches for different moments in your life is a satisfying experience.
Both are really nice. I like the more saturated blue dial on the Pelegos but, the case size and thickness will be too big for me so probably the BB 58 Blue will be a better fit, in my opinion. Also, since I already have a Rolex Sub, should feel very similar. By the way, for many years, I had only one watch, the Sub, and it was my daily beater. I wore it and took it everywhere, including on vacation and swimming and snorkeling with it. The BB 58 Blue should be able to do the same.
I’ve loved the Pelagos for years. That’s the one for me. The boldness of the blue just does it for me. I’ve never seen it on a leather strap - would be interesting to see how that looks as well.
Another great video Adrian. After 14 years of collecting watches of all shapes and sizes I genuinely think that the Black Bay 58 is the perfect sized everyday “ticks all the boxes” watch. Not seen a blue one in the flesh yet, own a black one, excited to see where the 58 line goes next.
Hi Adrian, your channel and one other are the only two that i dont skip ads to show my support. Keep up the good work! There are less people wearing watches now than there were before. Those that do wear watches, there are more people that have 1 watch for all occasions than there are those that own 2 or more watches or watch collectors. To non-watch fans or non-watch lovers, Rolex are generally perceived as old man's watch where smart watches such as Apple watches are for younger generation. Most likely why Rolex's new OP line are so colorful and youthful. My question is: With less people wearing watches, Apple Watch taking a big slice in the market, Millenials and Gen Z not seeing the allure of mechanical watches, do you think within the next 20-30 years, most big watch houses will get consolidated or no longer exists?
Thanks a lot Paul. I really appreciate the support 🙌🏻 I’ve not heard of fewer people wearing watches. Last I heard was that the Apple Watch was having a positive impact on the traditional watch companies as it’s easier to sell a watch to someone who wears a watch than someone who doesn’t. And the Apple Watch us getting more people wearing watches. My information could be old though. It’s always sad when companies have to close, but only poorly run companies close. The good ones will survive. It’s an interesting thought though.
Saw on this video Blueberry Broad Weave strap and ordered for my blue bb58, looks awesome! Wanted Pelagos at first because it is blue but when bb58 in blue came out I had no dilema to buy it, awesome watch
I agree with your assessment that the BB 58 is a watch to look good and not necessarily to go diving. The Pelagos, however, is a proper dive watch which I started using during recent dives as a backup device after having tried many of the other Diver’s from Seiko, Oris, G-Shock. It‘s an absolute tool watch with perfect material, size, lume and weight for the purpose. Although I don’t need 500 m WR and helium escape valve, it’s reassuring to know that the watch has plenty of reserves when going down the deep. After having passed the honeymoon period, I believe that I finally found the perfect Diver I was searching for. Love your content!
I wear my BB58 on my right wrist, simply because the low and sharp bevel tends to bite into my arm and leave marks, which bothers me a little, and wearing on the right makes use of the crown so the bevel itself doesn't do that as much. Never saw anyone mentioning this as an issue so it could be just me, but I now prefer watches with a more smooth caseback-bevel transition
I think there is a lot of misunderstanding in the watch community about diving with watches. I own a Pelagos and dive with it. It has held up perfectly fine, no issues with it at all after hundreds of dives. Why do I do this? Because I don’t want to leave a 3,000+ dollar watch on my boat or in my car while I am diving. I often times go straight from work and dive, I need something that I can wear to my desk job, and then while diving for lobsters. So as a serious diver, I never buy a watch that I am unwilling to dive with.
Great comparison of the two watches. You need to please review the Sinn U 50 T tegemented on bracelet. Great size 41mm , 11 mm thick. Teg steel is awesome durable. Thanks for the videos. Stay healthy and safe.
I pulled the trigger on the LHD after watching your previous Pelagos vid (was flip flopping between that and the seamaster 300). I was losing track of the days with my explorer and wanted something beefy with a date. Been rocking mine on the rubber and it feels amazing on wrist!
I couldn’t warm up to the blue of the Pelagos but boy do I love the blue of the BB58 it comes across in some of shots beautifully, Adrian. I am very happy with my BB58 navy blue even though the size needed some getting used to but it looks spectacular on the wrist.
BB58 for me please. I love the look of its dial, particularly the hour markers (but then I have a 1977 vintage Rolex Sub so I miss the metal outlining the [now sadly perished] lume). I just can’t get my head around the square hour markers on the Pelagos and it’s blue is a bit too bright for the wrist.
Thanks Adrian - I have been wanting to add a blue watch to my watchbox ever since the BB58 Navy dropped. Thought that was the “one” until I saw the Pelagos. I’ve been going back and forth for a couple of months. Just decided on the Pelagos.
Adrian cheers for this video. I've just been in the fortunate position to decide between these two watches. I went for the BB58 Blue in the end. Mainly for the versatility and a slightly smaller watch as I've had a BB GMT since 2018. Hopefully pick up a Pelagos LHD in a few years. Who knows we may even get a Pelagos GMT!
As a diver, I always wear an analog diving watch on my left hand and a dive computer watch on my right. It’s there as a backup and I feel that I’m not fully equipped without both! So, these watches are used by divers!
Keeping it real. I have a bb58, I really do love it. But... if the pelagos was smaller, it would be my perfect watch. Its has the look I like, and its just tougher, and I need that.

After two years as a daily beater, and I’m constantly in my garage building stuff, there isn’t a mark on the ceramic bezel. Man, it’s tough!
Keep in in mind the case of the Pelagos is closer to 40mm but the bezel is 42mm. It has a slight overhang and I actually prefer it to the sub bezel
this is exactly why i love Bark and Jack! the content is always great but reading the comments gives you so much more, especially the little bits of advice from owners of the watch under review.
I’m guessing the helium escape valve is adding a fair bit of thickness
It's ur lucky day tudor just relea3a couple of hours ago the Pelagos 39mm with a really good thickness of 11.8mm
"..Can't wear a watch on the right wrist - it doesn't feel natural..." This made me smile because I've just bought a Pelagos LHD - which is specifically designed for the right wrist :-D
(Of course I know where Adrian is coming from - I'm not sure I'd want it as my only watch.
Hi,
The LHD isn't designed specifically to be worn on the right wrist, that's just an added bonus.
Being right handed it would be awkward winding the LHD but I agree it would wear well on my left wrist, time for a think I reckon 🤔
@@andrewwheeler8591 Yeah, winding this one is a wee bit awkward - I find you kind of have to keep switching hands and turning it upside down :-D (As I said before, it might not a great candidate for a one-and-only watch. But it adds some spice and variety to a collection.)
Both Great watches! I would personally Go with the BB58, because it’s a little Bit more dressy and fits more scenarios 😄👍🏼
Me too. Much prefer it, Pelagos is too bulky for me personally.
The Pelagos is a BANGER.
Pelagos LHD owner here..... went in to buy the blue BB58....came out with the LHD..... never looked back.....the King of all tool watches
Pelegos for me, tried the blue but prefer the black one. Got way too many divers anyway so will admire from afar.
I like the classic look of the BB58 (Blue & Black). A amazing look would be a Pelagos in 38mm-40mm, maybe 39.5mm? Would be a knock out.
Tudor must’ve seen your comment, mark. The Pelagos 39 just came out 😉
@@ukjamaican4488 It's like a dream come true!
Wow all 4 , have you a favourite ?
It’s certainly tougher than a Sub. Glad I have a blue Pelagos
Collin Ruth you should do a review on utube , everyone has a story to tell about their watch
I have the blue Pelagos. ❤️❤️❤️ it!
Good call loving CO and having that watch.
I love the Tudor blue dialed watches...both of these are beautiful, though I like the Pelagos slightly more. Thank you for a great comparison video Adrian 😊👍
Love the Pelagos. Titanium is awesome and shoot, I can’t find myself liking sports watches without crown guards.
I love the Pelagos LHD. That date wheel!
Totally agree. I just bought one - it's a complete gangbanger of a watch! (As far as looks go, I much prefer it to my Sea-Dweller 116600.)
I like the black bay due to size I think it needs crown guard's and the updated bracelet adjustment
My favorite is the blue, the diver watch from Tudor, the one with the metal bracelet.
Isn't it too big and small though? 🥴
@@andrewwheeler8591 yes the right size for your wirst not to big neither to small... 🤔
You verbalized prefectly why I am going to bed wearing my blue Pelegos. It just so fits into my collection as the 💪
Great review. I especially appreciate the beginning of the seconds hand of the Pelagos matching the dial colour.
Well summarised.
The 58 is to the Submariner, as the Pelagos is to the Sea Dweller.
Saw the Pelagos in a store and man is it striking. thats my next addition to the collection.great informative videos Adrian keep them up.
Love my blue bb58 . It’s my daily.
Just got the navy blue and haven’t taken it off
My Blue Pelagos is my favorite “beater”.
Bracelet is fantastic including the rubber it comes with. Great video on two very good watches.
I'm lucky enough to have gotten a BB58 blue and a Pelagos LHD. While I love the BB58, the LHD has taken up basically all of my wrist time, it is just such a good tool watch, fantastic beater, and incredible dive watch. I take this Pelagos diving frequently and it already bears the scars of a watch much older... love it!
Pelagos is one of the best values in watches. Extremely underrated
Good lord!!! That blue & black strap on the BB58 Blue looks stunning!
I’ve tried on the Pelagos a few times.
Keep going back to it at some point I will leave the shop with it.
Love it 😎
Finally pulled the trigger or LHD and I love it😎
Black Bay 58 because it looks perfect to me. Also, I think smaller watches are becoming more acceptable again.
More than that. Overseized watches look pathetic, even worse when worn below the bone. In my humble opinion.
Don't compare the two watches by its sizes. The Pelagos is a true diver, therefore it's perpos is to reach best readability under water. Nothing more, nothing less. It's not a question about style.
@archie baldwin why to be offensive?
Thomas Huth Why do you care of how people wear their watches? In my humble opinion, that makes you pathetic.
Not if you have a 71/2" wrist!☹️
I will get the Pelagos eventually, need to get watch number 1 first
Both great watches, I'd love to see a comparison of the GMT & Pelagos. I think they are much similar watches.
Would you go blue or black Pelagos?
@@SGM805 Black, I love the blue but I wore the black one and knew it was the one i wanted
I have a Pelagos Lhd since a couple of days. It's just an incredible watch. I love her... ❤️💕
*it
Love my bb58 blue
It’s just like my 5167 and explorer 1
All are great watches and yet it costs almost nothing
But now I got problem
All three watches 5167-1a,explorer 1 and bb58blue are all practical and great looking
But I only have 7 days a week...
Maybe you will only need one practical watch
Now I’m feeling want to wear all of them even including my deep sea blue
But you could only wear one
It’s a very weird feeling and share with someone who wants to buy multiple daily watches
The original BB58 is a no brainer.Definitely the one I would buy.
agreed...just ordered the black on a bracelet....the Pelagos is just a beast of a watch....not for me personally, I have an Omega Seamaster 300 pro that's already a beast of a watch. Hence the BB 58 black is a toned down more versatile watch for me.
I just avoid tudor altogether.. .
WATCH DOCTOR why bro
WATCH DOCTOR How’s that Casio collection coming on bro?
WATCH DOCTOR I‘ve had quite bad experiences with Tudor, so I don‘t blame you!
Something about that pelagos blue
Cheers. John
(My book comes out in a couple of weeks)
I don't see many people talk often about the detent to zero the bezel without looking. That to me is one of the coolest features of the Pelagos. Not sure if it exists on the BB as I've never tried one on. As someone who uses the bezel to time almost everything the detent is more useful to me than the expanding bracelet. Great video mate, Thanks!
I purchased a PELAGOS 6 weeks ago. still find myself looking at it . the blue color is spectacular. the LUM shines almost thru the entire night. I do not dive - just ocean/ lake lover. I think I made a great choice - you will too. ~JDS/CT
Probably gonna get a Pelagos LHD next year. So I'm team Pelagos
I love the 58, tried one on a few weeks ago. I loved the size. However I adore the colour of the pelagos!
Had my wrist allowed for a Pelagos, then I'd choose it in a heartbeat.
I have a 16cm wrist, the Pelagos fits fine not a deal breaker at all go try one on.
Forgot to mention something really important...... Pelagos has a date complication versus de BB 58 don't.
Also kinda funny to think that the more functional diver accessory would have a date vs the watch made for style and that works better with a suit. You'd think you need to know the date at the office more then when diving...
@@samuellacroix9298 I agree. Lol what's even funnier it's that the guy that it's making the review forgot to mention it. Lol
@@IDKline oh, wow! Thats a thing?
Owned the Pelagos and lots to love about it but ultimately it was too big for me on a 7 inch wrist. The Pelagos is technically a better watch with the clasp and ceramic bezel and lume in the bezel but yeah... too big
I agree with all your sentiments but just the date window spoils it for me
I’ll go for the modern and efficient Pelagos.
If I had a choice of watches the Pelagos Blue would still be it. The bb58 is very solid as well.
I really appreciate the support 🙌🏻
I’ve not heard of fewer people wearing watches.
@@BarkandJack Thanks Adrian for the reply and excellent point.
Saw on this video Blueberry Broad Weave strap and ordered for my blue bb58, looks awesome! Wanted Pelagos at first because it is blue but when bb58 in blue came out I had no dilema to buy it, awesome watch
Adrian, you triggered my O.C.D. by not having those watches synchronized. If I had to choose, I'd take the Pelagos, because that's what I have.
Both nice, although the Pelagos is more unique - a true modern diver. Wouldn't particularly rush out to buy either though.
I adore my Pelagos LHD, looking at adding a blue to the collection. I prefer them to subs in respect of the strap and case profile.
Every time I see the blue BB58, I wonder if I should swap my BB 58 black for one, the colour is really growing on me!
Great watches with a lot of value. My favorite is by far the BB58 because of its versatility.
Thanks Adrian - I have been wanting to add a blue watch to my watchbox ever since the BB58 Navy dropped. Thought that was the “one” until I saw the Pelagos. I’ve been going back and forth for a couple of months. Just decided on the Pelagos.
I just wish there was a bit more writing in the dial of the Pelagos, there’s still some space they could cram with text.
Want the BB58 to come out with a date window. That would make it a PERFECT everyday watch.
