City Tour of MONTERREY, Mexico with MANUEL 🇲🇽 Presa La Boca & Cerro De La Silla - PART 2

  • In part two of two I meet up with Manuel for lunch on a floating island in the middle of a dam. After far too many beers and mezcals, we then head to the abandoned cable car ruins located half way up the iconic peak Cerro De La Silla.
    Monterrey is the most developed city in Mexico and has the richest per capita income when compared to the rest of the country. Many rule it out as a travel destination to their own detriment. It is an incredible city with lots of sights, activities and eateries. Consider it next time you are planning an adventure to Mexico.

    Ok first of all Manuel rocks!! He can take me for 🦐Ceviche any damn time he likes 🔥. The views from up the mountain are breathtaking and so worth the hike up, but the abandoned site was like icing on the cake. Thanks to both of you for this awesome video it was sensational👍

      Thanks for watching BBB!! Manuel is the man, I saw parts of the city not included in these videos that most foreigners would never know about. Local knowledge always the way to go when exploring :) Come to Mexico and we’ll all go for ceviche with Manuel 😃!

    The abandoned Cable car platform looks very fragile from the Drone perspective! I was thinking how crazy that was... Loved the look of the food at the dam area... Tacos everyday look good to me! Mezcal with Orange slices.. YUMMY!!! Ok... great video, for sure.. .Where next?? It is difficult to compete with Mexico isn't it? I was thinking how much I loved Strasburg France, Every trip to Europe I made sure to carve out at least 3 days to stay there and enjoy the vibe of the different neighborhoods and getting lost on purpose so I could find my way back a different way.. hahaha... Mexico has that same appeal... just get lost so you can explore more? Your mountain top hike looked great!!

    • @FinnDelMundoTravel
      @FinnDelMundoTravel  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hola hola!! I too purposely try to get lost in the locations I visit so I can see new sides of the city I never knew existed!
      The cable car ruins did look flimsy from the drone shots! I guess after six decades in the extreme elements of Monterrey will cause the concrete to crumble. Although while there it felt structurally sound. Abandoned buildings anywhere in the world always intrigue me (and the stories explaining how / why they came to be abandoned) 👌
      I’ve just got to Guanajuato and will be here a couple of weeks before heading down to Puerto Escondido (planning on one year there to learn Spanish / how to surf) 😀!!

      Manuel loves Monterrey and is the master of fine dining / where & what to eat. I have only shown a small portion of where he took me so might have to piece a part 3 Monterrey together at some point. I am looking forward to going back and doing another video in Monterrey next year.

The mountain hike to the abandoned cable car was a dream come true, I love abandoned buildings and hiking so it ticked all the boxes. Working on next few videos from Guanajuato as we speak but they could be a week away yet 😁!! Thanks again for your comment María 🤩
