But what would I order? Join me as we break down the list in various scenarios, such as ordering on a budget or just a few glasses. Let's dive into the Wine List at the 3 Star Eleven Madison Park!

212 pages is crazy! Speaking of monster wine lists, I’d love to hear your thoughts on Berns in Tampa in this format

    Another great set of choices.
I ended up going with a half bottle of burgundy when we went for the vegetarian menu.
Started with a glass of champagne.

This is so much fun! Great job, Troy. Champagne IS better from magnum, isn't it? (The subtle jab at Caymus was hilarious.)

Another excellent video in the series. I agree with you about luxury conglomerates. I have declared jihad against LVMH (long story), and so sadly the Y by Chateau d’Yquem is off my list. Worse still, they own Salon. A true heartbreaker because the 1985 is the best bottle of champagne I’ve ever had.

Enjoying these videos Troy, having discovered your channel last night and being relatively new to committing to “learn” about wine (but not drinking it), they’re giving me entertainment, a laught, and some good names, years, and pointers to follow up. I wondered why my favourite 3 for $500 section wasn’t here, then clocked the prices…!

Finding one for $150 was already a challenge on this one! And thanks for sharing, I’ll look to include the $500 category in the future. I was worried it overlapped too much with the $150 section, but appreciate your insight!

@@TroysTastingRoom thanks Troy, I like to think of the $150 as the all rounder but the $500 as the spread bet 😆. I really enjoyed your Pinot Noir video (as well as the other varietal focused ones), but it was especially close to my heart as I arrived to live in Australia into Tasmania and having never really tried wine Pinot there was my first. Now I am learning about wine and living near Yarra Valley this was a favourite, but I am trying to expand knowledge by trying wine from overseas especially the old world - maybe a video that explains Burgundy Crus and Classic chateaus could be a good one? ☺️

I really enjoy this kind of videos, the sad part is that the older and more knowledgeable of wine I get the less it makes sense for me to buy wine on restaurants, specially the fancy ones. Markup prices are just insane, and no one can give me a good reason for it. Specially considering this is US you still have to tip at least 20% on top of these insane bottle prices. so instead of the usual 262% markup (that I could glance over the wines I know the prices in USD on this menu) add another 20% (AT LEAST) on that, so almost 3 times the price of the bottle. Sorry I'll pass, the feeling I get is that this is not for the ones who study, enjoy and appreciate wine, it's just for the ones that wanna choose a wine by the right side of the menu and impress someone.
btw, I read they charge 75USD for corkage (maximum 4 bottles). I would happily pay this price and bring something on the range of 200~300 USD retail price per bottle. Would be a better deal if you really wanna drink wine in this setting.
