I've watched this so many times because of the background music and now youtube recommended me this again. Now I'm a bit of a mechanic myself and I finally understand what this guy's doing. I don't own a monster but the video is so extremely well made that I now have a general idea on how to change the clutch pads or change the cover
Enjoying the video thinking it's not often I see a job being done the same as I do things, then all of a sudden I see pliers on a bleeder instead of an 8mm spanner. Good video though and everybody should be grateful to the likes of you taking time to show this stuff.
he did use cross pattern, for tightening and he did use proper torque im sure, if you look he skips the finishing bit of tightening and probebly doesnt show torque spec because everyones got different torque specs, depending on make and model. Also read the description...
putting a huge bead of sealant on his cover will be the end to his clutch . he should have put a thin layer on it with a putty knife . and caused no squish . i like seeing backyard mechanics .
Fantastic work with the footage, explains things very clear, at least it shows that if you put some elbow grease and some passion a ducati wont be that expensive to maintain, maybe its only a myth. I wish someday we will see a video of how to do the valve adjustment. Well done again with the video and all the effort you put in it.
È un piacere assoluto vedere con quanta accortezza e delicatezza svolgi il tuo lavoro. Sei un vero professionista. Mai visto lavorare in questo modo. Complimenti infiniti.
Thanks for the detailed video. It's unfortunate so much more needs to be done to get this cover installed. Did you find it to be a pretty easy task? How does the clutch feel vs the cable to you? I'm hoping to do this to my 2021 821.
Hypnotic work - I could watch stuff like that all day - makes me think working on a bike is easy - and then I remind myself that a brand new Duc and a 25 year old AT aren't the same :p Now...where did I put that skin off of my knuckles?
Que gustazo ver trabajar así👍🏻 Felicidades por ese respeto y gusto al trabajo con estos hierros🙌🏻. En 15 días estará en mis manos la 821 Stripe 😍🔥, de momento en el taller para revisión completa😅.
LOVED watching this one!!! The only thing MISSING...............was ADDING the engine-oil to it,and STARTING it UP!!! It's like watching a BIG-BUDGET movie that goes NO-WHERE!!! LOL. All kidding aside,I was SO SET to Watch that Clutch-pack SPIN at the end of this!!! Oh well.............. :)
There is something soothing in watching you do this mod. Checked out one more video of you and i can say that I haven't been this excited in finding a new moto-vlogger since i came across adjriannickelodeon. Its a sub from me and joining the notification squad.
For those who converting hydraulics without the clear clutch cover. You also need the plug for clutch cable hole on the right side and of course the clutch slave. And for the sprocket. I believe you can use the 1200 sprocket cover. 10x cheaper then the aftermarket ones. Hope this info helps. Tq!
Wow..! It was such huge video with detailed and morever from start to End , The way of using tools and deciplinary work , Handeling , safety attention completly was so good. Thums up.
So nice mod man..I'm buying all the components this days, but i have a question..what about the dirty oil on the plexiglass? Did you get some overdirty problems on a long time or is it enough clean? I'm scary to spend lot of money to get an extremely dirty plexiglass all the time
Plexiglass stays clean. Even when oil is present, it doesn’t look dirty. There isn’t much of it anyway and it just slides down. When you are done with the ride, oil goes down quickly and it doesn’t look dirty at all. If for some reason you get buildup over time, plexiglass is very easy to remove and clean.
Thank you for everything. It's really wonderful since I was 13 years old and I dream of having a motorcycle but here we are in a country where we can not buy a bike because it is very expensive. Now it's 37 years old and I have not got one in my life. I wish I could buy one before my death .........
excuse the question a little ignorant to install the clear clutch cover system is it necessary to change the clutch system for the Hydraulic Clutch Conversion? is it really necessary to hire a specialized mechanic? Well, I have had a motorcycle for 8 years and I have basic knowledge of motorcycle mechanics, but to carry out this work the accessories are already quite expensive and hiring a mechanic to do the work would be another additional cost, well my question is, can I do this process without requiring a mechanic?
Yes, hydraulic conversion is mandatory for the clear cover. Since i don’t know you or your abilities, i can’t really answer your question but what i can say is that i am not a mechanic and do not have a whole lot of experience with motorcycles. Hope that helps.
hi. i have monster821 stripe 2016. i want to do like this. it must change 'hydrolic clutch release', what need ducati-parts and ducabike-parts? if you can, tell me please.
Great Video, excellent workflow! I have an Hypermotard 821 and previously owned two Hyper 1100 (both stolen!!!). Never understood why Ducati decided to go the cheap way with the 821 engines and clutch cables instead of hydraulic ones. Seriously thinking to do the mod. Looking at your video looks like is doable by someone with good mechanical skills like me. I am missing the jaw press for the OEM bearing and pin part though...All the best !
Damn dude, both stollen? That sucks :/ Yeah, this is not hard to do at all. There are a lot of steps but you should be able to do this in an afternoon. Of course it took me couple of days because of filming and it being insanely hot outside but I put in about an hour of actual work.
It's been a while so I don't exactly remember but I think it had to do with the fact that the next piece is torqued quite high and in turn torques the other bolt too. Instructions should state what to do.
I can't find the hydraulic clutch kit anywhere. The model I found was the AF103 from motovation.com and it is for 2017 and up. Do you know where I can get it?
9:04 which type of modification is that called because i saw many bikes with plastic cover of that motor which moves also.....plz reply if anyone of you know....
Hello there i was just looking through youtube and stumbled across your video and could help but notice the BMW,Audi and the Red Bull flag for say in the background i was wondering where you got them from?
Hey man. Great bud, love your work. Gonna do this mod this weekend on my 821, do I need to drain the oil? It's just been changed. Are there anything else I need to do the install apart from tools?
Instructions say to drain the oil but I don't think it's completely necessary especially if you have the bike on the side stand. I did drain mine into a clean container and re-used the oil. Just make sure you don't get any dirt in it before re-filling. I did have a bit of trouble with mine when it comes to the clutch cylinder and the pushrod. It comes with two ball bearings and instructions say to only use one but I had to use both. Good luck! It's not hard, just a lot of fiddly parts.
perfect work and video . my bike is 821 and definitely it is a must . did you get improvement on sound ? i know its not as a dry clutch but definitely must sounds better
How do you prepare to film these videos? Are you confident enough of each of the steps before you start that you film your first take, or do you figure out how to do something, undo whatever you did, then film it on the second try?
I do like to read through all available documentation several times before I do anything new, just to make sure I understand it. This also helps me visualize what I need to do so I don't have to do it when filming. Filming is so time consuming that I don't want to extend it any more than necessary. Certain steps that are straight forward, I just hit record and do it. Something I am unsure about, I have to think through first. There have been couple of things in the past where I had to try it off camera and then re-do it for the camera. It just depends.
It is mostly for looks but there are benefits as well. You can work on the clutch without taking the whole cover off, which is a pain in the ass. You can just remove the window part and have full access. Also, hydraulic clutch is much better than cable. Easier to pull so there is way less fatigue on my hand etc.
I don't even have a Ducati and watched your video from start to finish, top 10 best "how to videos" ever!
Thanks a lot a man!
I've watched this so many times because of the background music and now youtube recommended me this again. Now I'm a bit of a mechanic myself and I finally understand what this guy's doing. I don't own a monster but the video is so extremely well made that I now have a general idea on how to change the clutch pads or change the cover
Don't even have a motorbike but watched the whole video just for pure fascination. Nice to see a precise work, congrats.
Thanks for watching man!
I dont even have a Ducati... still enjoyed the vid :)
Thanks for watching dude!
yeah same here
Dulaj Dilrukshan That's very flattering. Thanks for watching!
What suprised me was how you bled the clutch! :o Really with the pliers?
Really enjoyed the vid!
HelgeJohn That was some sort of non standard bleed nipple. It was smaller than any wrench I had. Pliers work just as good ;)
Enjoying the video thinking it's not often I see a job being done the same as I do things, then all of a sudden I see pliers on a bleeder instead of an 8mm spanner.
Good video though and everybody should be grateful to the likes of you taking time to show this stuff.
Just picked up my 821 a few weeks ago and I am definitely doing this mod. Awesome video.
Man, this is what I call "a professional video" !!! Amazing content and video quality !!!! Best wishes :) :)
It could be better. Just need Mike B. Fort in the house ;)
Hahaha you are the best !!! Great man :) :) :) !!!!
this guy is real clean with his work
hell yeah he is really clean
Justin Galligan also didnt use cross pattern to secure things...
he did use cross pattern, for tightening and he did use proper torque im sure, if you look he skips the finishing bit of tightening and probebly doesnt show torque spec because everyones got different torque specs, depending on make and model. Also read the description...
putting a huge bead of sealant on his cover will be the end to his clutch . he should have put a thin layer on it with a putty knife . and caused no squish . i like seeing backyard mechanics .
I like seeing back seat commenters that don't know what they are talking about ;)
Fantastic work with the footage, explains things very clear, at least it shows that if you put some elbow grease and some passion a ducati wont be that expensive to maintain, maybe its only a myth. I wish someday we will see a video of how to do the valve adjustment. Well done again with the video and all the effort you put in it.

Good to see some videos that are about the quality of production and not just raking views! So glad I found this channel 👍
had no idea so much work was involved in changing a clutch cover, you know your stuff man!! videos and bikes
It's all because Ducati went cheap with 821 and for whatever reason removed hydraulic clutch. On all other models, it's very simple job.
Thanks for the detailed video. It's unfortunate so much more needs to be done to get this cover installed. Did you find it to be a pretty easy task? How does the clutch feel vs the cable to you? I'm hoping to do this to my 2021 821.
I'm getting a Ducati because of this video!
Cleanest, most chill install video of anything I've ever seem. great job.
+Matt Donatello thanks dude!
Wow one of the best videos I have seen so far.. clean job
That's some nice words. Thanks!
Excellent video. Comments and instructions are on point. Great job!!!

No, thank you!
Meticulous, thorough and easy to follow; excellent video.
Thanks dude!
I just watched this whole video and I don't own a Ducati. Serious quality
Thanks man! Checked out your videos, you have a rad job.
I saw, I learn and I run towards my garage and I remember I don't have Ducati
Ha ha
Haha 😀😀
Just like me bro...
Jesus Christ that's a lot of work! A very porfessional video, I bet this took so much time to make.
It was a lot of work to make this - several days. Thanks for watching!
so satisfying video for people with OCD
Two thumbs up! That mod is simply gorgeous!
After seeing your bike like this, I'm really considering doing it to my M1100EVO too :)
Single best mod I've ever done on anything!
wow..the level of detail in European products is phenomenal!
Ducabike people don't mess around! Top notch stuff.
Hypnotic work - I could watch stuff like that all day - makes me think working on a bike is easy - and then I remind myself that a brand new Duc and a 25 year old AT aren't the same :p Now...where did I put that skin off of my knuckles?
It's not hard working on this at all. Not any different than my 1972 CB750 ;) This just has more electronic stuff on it.
Excellent! now the only thing i need is a Ducatti 821.
Minor detail :p
Ducati...
Haha 😂
Alejandro Medina hahahahahaha
Lol
Awesome video I was thinking of doing this to my Ducati. After seeing this Iv decided the Ducati looks a lot better standard.
Great videos. thanks for taking the time. there is no way I'd do something like that myself top my 796. But, yours are top notch how to vids.
Thanks!
I like the Ducati and museum in Bologna .love the Bologna .From Russia with love.
Damn son. Blowing up overnight. Inspirational! #youtubepaper #fame #canigetashoutoutson

Que gustazo ver trabajar así👍🏻 Felicidades por ese respeto y gusto al trabajo con estos hierros🙌🏻. En 15 días estará en mis manos la 821 Stripe 😍🔥, de momento en el taller para revisión completa😅.
Love the editing style bro! Beautiful MONSTER!
Glad to own an old Monster 900 with dry clutch, modified hähä. Anyhow that's a good video and an interesting upgrade.
I haven't ride a motorcycle in my life but I find this very comfortable to watch
Cool beans!
I think this video sealed my decision - must Monster. Thank you!
that bike never gets ridden.
Check the next video. There is plenty of that ;)
AwesomeI'll check that out!!! Thanks man!!! 😊
high quality! keep up the good work
Thanks!
GREAT!!! Now i know how to install the clear clutch cover, all that is left to do now is if i can afford to buy this bike... :) :p ;)
one step at the time my friend. you can get there :)
I never owned a bike, and probably never will, but I watched this video from start to finish :)
Thanks for watching!

So freakin awesome mate, I love it!
You just gained a new subscriber!
Continue that amazing work mate!
Thanks dude. Glad you like these!
Amuch needed mod for the 821.....nothing says "cheap" in look, quality and feel more than a cable clutch. Great mod and fantastic video instructions!
Yeah not sure what they were thinking with that. Previous Monsters had hydraulic clutch so there was no reason for 821 to have a cable.
and this conversion is why I will never give up my 1996 Honda VFR750. Hydraulic clutches are so much better than cables.
Can you please put a full list of parts on here please, Awesome work and video. Thank you
Wow..! It was such huge video with detailed and morever from start to End , The way of using tools and deciplinary work , Handeling , safety attention completly was so good. Thums up.

I feel relaxed - as if I meditated for 13 minutes. Haha thanks so much for the video, dude :)
I don't own a dry clutch bike and I still watched almost the whole video :)
Nice taking and editing man, sub'd..!
Thanks dude! This is actually a wet clutch bike.
Hold Fast oh, cool.
BTW, how is the hydraulic clutch holding up? No more lubing the cable, lol.
Raja Ram Mummadavarapu So far so good. Loving how light it is. Not getting sore when I get stuck in traffic.

a work of art!
Is the clutch cover the only thing you've changed? Have you done slipper clutches before? I'ma bit new to the motorcycle world.
Dude , nice video ever ! 👍👍
great video. only problem is you should have shown it running
Yass
Gracias amigo, no necesité seguir mirando el video!
Phenomenal job with the video! And ... looks pretty rad on 'em/my 821 Stealth 🤟😎🤙
Great video, can’t wait to install my own. My only problem is I don’t even have a Ducati yet. Someday.
Hello mate, do you know if this kit is compatible with CNC Racing pressure plate and pressure ring? Thanks
I have a s2r 1000, already with a dry clutch but.... this vid is so nice xD so I watch it entierly :p
Did you change plate, springs or is it just for looks?
great vid, i was wondering where you got the bleeding hose. the one that only pushed out air and not fluid.
Now you know he ain't new to this. He's true to this.
hi.
i have monster821 stripe 2016.
i want to do like this.
it must change 'hydrolic clutch release', what need ducati-parts and ducabike-parts?
if you can, tell me please.
楠正義 All parts needed with links to them are listed in video description.
great video... just curious does the clutch cover get dirty from the oil and clutch dust as its a wet cluch set up
Very professionally done. I almost want to attempt doing this on my own!
Which oil to do the brake?
And where did you buy an clear clutch?
Do you has an changing service?
Thanks sir
Liked your video very much please tell the tools you used and their brand
Nothing special. Just random tools.
That sucks :/
Yeah, this is not hard to do at all.
👍👍👍 clean & professional
I can't find the hydraulic clutch kit anywhere. The model I found was the AF103 from motovation.com and it is for 2017 and up. Do you know where I can get it?
Very clean work
9:04 which type of modification is that called because i saw many bikes with plastic cover of that motor which moves also.....plz reply if anyone of you know....
wow! nice work, very detailed.
Thanks man! Appreciate it.
Hello there i was just looking through youtube and stumbled across your video and could help but notice the BMW,Audi and the Red Bull flag for say in the background i was wondering where you got them from?
william katzinski pretty sure they all came from amazon
thanks
great video , its really hard to produce such quality
great video. have you done this conversion on a supersport? wondering if this will almost be the same install.
HOLD Fast thanks for the tip, my kit only came with one ball. How do I know if it doesn't work with only one ball? Guess the clutch simply won't work?
Torgny Näslund if there is a problem, bike will just shut off when you try to put it into gear.
Hey man quick question.. whered u get that instrument cluster back cover???
perfect work and video . my bike is 821 and definitely it is a must . did you get improvement on sound ? i know its not as a dry clutch but definitely must sounds better
Did you read the video description? It's all listed there ;)
It does sound better. Just a tad bit louder than before.
many thanks
damn good video! super informative. i cant imagine the effort put into making this
Thanks man! Yeah it's a lot of work but when people appreciate it, it is worth it!
that was so relaxing watching that. I don't own a Duke, but loved watching.
if this is scary... hells yeah... calls mechanic.
I was expecting seeing the clear clutch working. Great video anyway.
Is this available for the Hypermotard 939? Cheers
Wow, worth the effort
Guessing this would be exact same as my 2019 821?. I'd do same colors you did. Looks awesome. Good job. Have a video running by chance? Cheers
That is professional video. Amazing even I am not Ducati owner I was enjoy to the last
Thanks for watching! Glad it was enjoyable.
Good job man. I love ducati
Thanks dude. You have one?
Did Tighten the screw without torque wrech will make any influence while riding?
Depends what it is. Certain things do need to be torqued to spec, others don’t
@@HoldFastFilms ok clearly understand tks for reply
