That's not the best solution when you got an avocado tree and take note, our avocado tree has a huge fruit (that avocado on dude's hand is just the half of our avocado) it's really to finish in one go😂😭
If you only use half per day, you can store the unused half in a bowl of water with the seed in and in the fridge and it stays green on the slice which is in the water.
I keep them outside the fridge until they're just about to turn ripe/ just ripening. Then I put them in the fridge and it slows the ripening. Do that and you'll be able to eventually perfect the method...

Every time I store mine on ref it turns brown yuk. Are you saying put avocado green hard ones in ref, than take one to ripen it won't brown rot like if ripe or after using half, I have never had luck, I will buy some amd try unripe ones as you say ?

We don't know what to do when they all started to ripe thanks for this. I found a way to persevere them for months You put them in a plastic bag Get all the air out that you can I have a food saver machine so that’s what I use Then put them in the freezer Perfect when you take them out
You can buy special avocado holders to go in the fridge. They have an indentation to accommodate the stone/seed and after halving the fruit, just put the unused section upside down into the holder and click it shut.
I put cut avocado in a fold over sandwich baggie and wrap really tightly around the fruit (squish the air out) - closing with a clip. Keep in frig. (Or you can wrap in saran wrap, but this way is much easier faster.) 😬

It’s so you can buy multiple unripe avocados, but they won’t all ripen at once. So that you won’t have more ripe ones than you can eat. And it saves you extra trips to the store 👍
I never tried this method. I do the opposite. I usually get five hard ones at a time, let them ripen for about two days on the counter until they are ready to eat and then store them in the fridge. Works great!

A friend who makes guacamole on a regular basis also said to buy the avocado with the stem piece still attached. Don't buy the avocado with the stem piece missing. She said then you know they will rippen in 3 days.

If they go bad, mash w/ 1T coconut oil, apply to scalp/hair 😁
If already ripectheycwill continue to ripen and rot. Fridge gives you an extra day or 2 if theyre ready to eat.

I just learn to cute them,then put them on a flat tray on parchment,stick them in the freezer for 2 hrs,place them in a freezer bag
