Hi Wendy, My mother passed away this morning, and the grief is so raw. As she was passing over to the other side, I saw a fairy/angel with wings and a long flowing gold dress, which I am going to try and paint just because of you and your wonderful kind vlogs. Thank you for being there for me
I am so sorry that you are going through such an incredible loss!!! I have lost my whole family, it was just my sister and I left , she passed away in December 2023. When I was finally able to paint again I created a piece with special meaning for her- a very healing process! I have felt Gods hand on me through this grief- it’s awful but He is able to redeem even this! Being creative is a gift on so many levels! I’m praying for you as you navigate this life without your mom, may God wrap you in peace and comfort. The love remains- and that makes the separation hard but we wouldn’t have it any other way but to have loved so well that it hurts! 💕
At 77 I would be honored for people to paint older woman. Our faces show love, wisdom and growth. We are beautiful with our lines and twinkling eyes. If we are fortunate to live long each one of us will have this and should be proud of who and what we are. This was a wonderful enlightening video. I am still making art and enjoying the process and just love to learn. You are a treasure for woman of all ages. Your grand baby will change you and make you more whole. She must be beautiful like her mum and grandmum before her. 🧚🧚♀🧚♂
Personal challenges are probably the most incredible life altering things you can do for yourself. Whether it is a one month challenge or a “however long it takes” challenge, the mere fact that you have to set time aside to do the challenge is the foundation of improving yourself or your skills. I have recently finished copying the entire Bible because I wanted to improve and change my handwriting. What started as an exercise in handwriting practice ended up as a”let’s finish handwriting the entire Bible” challenge. It took me a little more than two years to do all 66 books in the Bible, and that was because almost every single day I set aside time to sit down and write no matter how I felt about it. Yes, there were days when I couldn’t due to various reasons, but if I missed a day a made up for it by doubling up the number of pages or chapters I wrote. I’ve learned more things about the Bible than I ever did my entire life before, and at the same time I learned what I am capable of doing if I just get to doing it. I am also an artist and an art teacher, a mom and a wife as well, so the idea that I only wrote is not even remotely close to the truth. I also painted and created many artworks, I prepared and taught my lessons, I cooked, kept the house, and sewed (yes, I also hand sew and crochet) and commuted to work two hours a day. You would be surprised how much one can do if one just stops scrolling and clicking on nonsense on the internet. I always look at those who lived back in the 1800s and how much they accomplished in their lifetime and yet they had no cars, no washing machines, and no malls or supermarkets. How did they get around to producing so much art? I want that recipe for life.
I challenged myself to create an artwork every day and I posted it on Facebook to keep myself honest. I was able to do it for 280 days straight. It really bumped up my art skills so much. My Facebook friends really loved it and supported my journey. It was the best thing I could have done for my artistic soul.
Your fairies are so youthful and lovely... but grandmothers are by far the most endearing fairies in most people's lives. I challenge you to paint beautiful portraits of our more senior fairies. They deserve to be graced by your talents.
I love that idea!I have an old photo of a very old Galway woman with her shawl. On my alter. She is so " weathered" and beautiful and strong. She comforts me especially since mum died.We don't see enough beautiful images of our elders.I think sometimes I get stuck painting beautiful Goddesses with flowing hair and gowns.I think I will try to capture the beauty of our Elders next.❤
The last girl looks so alive. The others seem more like illustrations, nice in their own way. But the girl from day 7 is so young, fresh and happy with her almost half smile. She is from the romantic period, like a real painting from then. Well done on doing all these challenges that make you happier.... 😊.
Thank you for sharing. You are helping me so much with your words and loving vibes. You and your art is inspiring. I lost my husband of 46 years in Sept. He bought me my first paints 40 years ago. He always encouraged me to paint. Recently TH-cam algorithms showed me you. ❤I am grateful for you.
Paint my friend! I lost my soul mate 5 years ago. What got me through my first year without him was a sketchbook I titled The Healing Forest. Every day I drew tree after tree using pencil, ink and watercolor pencils. Nothing but trees. The sketch book became a forest that truly started to put my broken heart back together. I haven't stopped painting and drawing.❤
It seems likee everybody on you tube, whether whimsical or more realistic, they always do females of a certain age, still young and still pretty, all have the same and basic flowy type hair.I want to draw/paint the Elders who show their aging on their face and hands….All the wrinkles and warts, thinning hair and even missing teeth. I do geriatric care ( have for over 50 years)… I love my patients faces.their faces and necks and hands a road map from a life well lived or maybe not so well, but with great tenacity and much loss. I just cannot get the skin right, like the shadowing of wrinkles, neck and hands. Even the hair is of a different texture, than when we are younger.. Does anyone know of a channel or book tutorial of aging people and animals?… I make pictures to give my patients, just to make them smile( not because I am all that talented)… but they get so tickled when I attempt to draw from a very old picture of loved ones and they can tell who it was supposed to be!( probably because of the same clothes as in the picture😬😂)❤
The last painting, the one where you didn't draw the face first, is a lovely, natural image; she reminds me of a character out of Jane Austen! Thanks for sharing all your ideas, wisdom, and encouragement! I'm currently in the midst of finishing up some house projects as well as making some needed changes in my studio, and when those are done I'll be getting back to my studio to "art" more intentionally. I will be setting a challenge for myself in the near future, thanks to you! Blessed Be those shining lights!
Hello Wendy! Your Little Ladies are gorgeous and I always appreciate seeing your creative process. You’re becoming more beautiful as time marches on! Congrats on becoming a grandmother! Sending hugs and fond thoughts from USA!🌻
I gave myself a 30 day challenge of faces. I named each character and it was so much fun. Some were a little scary looking but some really came out good. It was lots of fun to see the progress. I think everyone should do a challenge like this.
Wendy, can you do a little bit on one of the next video about your color palette choices? How you choose? Is it a pre meditated choice? Do you decide …oh I’ll do a sketch of “such” and I’ll use this color palette….is it thought out ahead of time and laid out before starting? Or do you just get going on and make these decisions intuitively once you get going? Also….a very wise statement I heard about posh art supplies…we are always worried we will waste them, however the only wasted art supplies are the art supplies locked away and never used! So I agree…get out the good stuff and get going!
of course, I limit my palette these days and do have some favourite colours. I did choose my colours before I started and laid my palette out. Later in the process it can get intuitive and I will add more colours as I go. Psh psh to posh art supplies yes! xx
I love the ladies from your challenge; how wonderful that they've floated out of the mist to come to life on the pages. They are ephemeral with your use of light, how exciting to see you explore. I commune with my paintings before my charcters get names as well, and once named, when repainted or redrawn their personality becomes more evident. Right now i am still in reorg mode, cleaning closets and decluttering. Recovering from illness and injuries, and focussing on becoming stronger and healthier, has meant that art has taken a backseat, just sketching lately, to keep in practice. A challenge sounds tempting, but healing my body, and streamlining my home and studio (thanks Wendy, your example of reorganising inspired me) is my priority for the present. I'm so excited for you for getting through the challenge, and learning and gaining so much. I hope you've learned more about your energy patterns and can utilise this going forward. Love and light always, and hope those new little ladies in your life share their names, and show more of their personality. I always love seeing your art. 🧡❤️💜✨✨✨
Not that you looked unhealthy before but I can see a glow about you now. Whatever you’re up to, keep going! I am working on procrastination. My challenge is to recognize when it’s happening and write it down in a hash mark style with the “excuse” for not starting something.
Can I say, I ❤THE GREEN PIXIE 🧚♂️! I seee sooo much in that one. So much life. I love it! Happy accidents can create incredible art! Congratulations love. Thx for not giving up. ❤
Hiya Wendy. Its been a very long time since Ive checked in with you.I love the idea of painting our Elders.Im v stuck painting beautiful Goddesses with gowns and flowing hair and winter trees .I would like to break out of this.I loved your water colour women!I was looking at the prints I bought from you awhile back and whilst I adore fairies and mermaids;I would not have thought the same Artist did both.So well done. This was inspiring. By the way you are looking so" healthfull" and glowy.I also love my dress up flower crowns.I have one with branches as antlers for when Im painting foresty things. Thanks Wendy
All of the ladies are lovely, but I am so excited to see you explore older faces -- beautiful. I also thought your green lady was especially lovely -- she may be my favorite!
Very inspiring video Wendy. Thank you. A few months ago a friend and I decided we would challenge each other to every day doing something creative and sharing with each other. Been so beneficial for both of us. No guidelines or rules, just create and share.
I love your paintings. You inspired me to do a 7 day challenge, doing 7 different ages of people. Think it will really help me to understand the face. Thank you for your light always shining bright ❤
This made me think of the book Atomic Habits. It's the small changes we make on the daily that lead to long changes over time. Definitely going to set myself a creative challenge. Love this video. Thank you ❤
Wendy, I liked your ‘wise older woman’ and hope that you focus on a series of them. ‘Transformation’. I have been changing my life and healing my body over the past 2yrs, and recently, someone who didn’t know me and was sensitive, her face lit up as she asked me “had I been undergoing transformation?” So affirming for me. Enjoy the energy in the process of changing and growing.
Yes I do commune with my artwork!! I have dozens of little nature spirits living and running about in my studio, and I find many out in wild places. Or rather they find me. But yes they do occasionally come to me in dreams. Many come during my meditation walks:) I immediately thought mermaid when I watched you paint her💙 love love love!!
It just hit me that all of your beautiful work is with the more serious and serene nature of women. No criticism here, just an observation. Because I absolutely love your work and find you a great source of inspiration in my artistic endeavors ❤😊
Thank you so much for this video. I really needed this today….I’m an artist all my life at 75 years old and am mostly alone in my studio with my dog Jade. You have inspired me during this depression I’m in at this time to do some watercolors tomorrow. You are such a wonderful talented artist with a lovely personality! I pray you sell a lot of your beautiful creations❤❤❤
Wendy, such an Amazing video!! I watched it twice. I wanted to say you are a wonderful teacher. Of course you are a great art teacher, but in addition, you are an amazing life teacher. I appreciate your authenticity. I learn so much from you about art and also about being and living. Thanks so very much for all you give to the world!!!
Your ‘bad’ paintings are million times better than my forts😅. I’m feeling off at the moment as my doctor has changed one of my medications and I think it’s effecting me, until I get used to it. 😳. Still your enthusiasm does help and I’m out in my studio (shed) doing something. Thanks Wendy🖌🖌🎉🎉🎨🎨❤️
Your Day 7 little lady just glows with life! And I love that the wise crone came up to be painted, too. Your videos are like gentle hugs, and through them, you inspire me to try new creative challenges. Thank you!
That lovely green "little lady" looks totally like The Forest Fairy - and those bits in her hair are like leaves. So lovely! (I wrote that in the middle of the video and now at the end I heard you call her a "Forest Pixie!) 🙂
I love all your work! You are very inspirational even though I don't paint or draw. But I do other creative things. And my favorite of your paintings so far that I've watched in this video is that Green Forest Fairy that you struggled to like!! She is beautiful and has a certain attitude that I just love❤❤❤
Oh I thought She was a Mermaid before You said... so gorgeous!! Or even more Undine Cheeky Water Nymph like ...Loved all of Your Girls and Crone too ...and loved Your own flower Crown !! Really loving Your new Studio Playroom set up , feels bigger and must have helped You with Your Creativity!! x I thought of You the other day when I found a Renoir print in a frame , I felt JOY and so I bought it and have added it to my very Tiny Toilet art Wall ...what I call the Illuminating Elimination Room and I get to gaze at it really close ...loving the colours and the Outfits and seeing them enJOYing Life !!
Hello sweet Wendy, I watched this twice this evening, I can tell your feeling better by the excitement and speed the way your voice sounded. I enjoyed this video and the reinforcement of giving ourselves some grace, to challenge ourselves. Use our good papers, paints and give our selves compassion… we all have good days and bad days… You are so open and honest… I’m not put off one bit… you’ve helped me a lot today… Thank you my dear friend. Time to explore mor and get busy… positive talk and much appreciated of your time. Much love to you and James. Loved the old crone! Hehe!
The forest fairy is actually my favourite and she feels she has a story to tell. I was really inspired by your day 7 lady to try doing an all rose coloured lady.
Oh, yes! Too Many Tabs Open! Im inspired by your channel. My art space is complete Chaos for the past year. Mybmother passed last November after a month's long decline and my grief has sidelined me. Im beginning to emerge from the underworld. Once I've made some progress with reorganizing and cleaning up I'll be returning to this video to cheer me onward. I live in the desert southwest in Arizon USA. My ancient Pine and Ash tree have been visited by Starlings each morning. Watching their ariel ballet morning and evening has been a delightful experience. Im considering painting birds for my challenge. You, your art and your spirit are refreshing. 😊
The pain, confusion, dread, and state of shock is very real for many of us in the States. I used colored pencils and made art of chaos, which I fear for my country. Watercolors were used to express the conflagration of freedoms and democracy. Watercolor for my tears and sadness. Then I used water color of a landscape for hope and strength. Please support freedom for women's rights in all countries.
I'm with you sister I heard the news in morning here in Ireland.I could not even make a phone call😢.Because I don't understand this reality. The week before unintentionally painted a woman in a mental position in a black room with green under her to remind myself of how the Earth holds us.Only when finished I noticed I had used only the colours of the Palestinian flag. The subconscious is a powerfull thing.Hard to find hope right now.I hope you keep painting;a Luta Continua ❤
Another wonderful recording Wendy. So helpful ,,, I have been doing a similar challenge myself, and I have noticed an improvement in my personal contentment which meant I was just so much happier. Sketching, painting and crochet are my artistic outlets. I think making a conscious decision to give some time to it, is the first step and then doing it is the next step. Even 5 minutes spent on your art or craft is better then none at all.
This was such an inspiring video even though some of the ideas were a little scary … like starting a painting without an under drawing. I totally relate to the too many tabs open and wanting to simplify my life and really declutter so things are less stressful. I am trying really hard to start my art again. I confess that I’ve been watching many of your videos since I found you and loving what you do and how you communicate it so well, I really appreciate that you talk about other things too, like menopause and invisible disabilities. As I’ve watched I’ve been doing some art in my head but not in the physical universe, lol. I need to make a space so I can actually create. I NEED to get out of my head and onto paper. I have physical challenges, a little like your’s I think Wendy, mine include chronic pain and I also have fibro and other stuff. Then there’s the mental health challenges that sometimes leave me doing not much for days or sometimes weeks. I’m in the process of getting a Complex PTSD diagnosis. So my therapist sped questions which reawakens things but there’s no time for addressing them. I am finding this really difficult. She has suggested using art to express my thoughts. It’s quite a daunting idea, writing them down and to be honest I wouldn’t even know what to start to paint them. But I have bought a watercolour sketchbook/journal as I do have a set out two of them and when it arrives I will try… though I have no idea what I will paint.
Thank you, Wendy, for the share! I've also moved into a more disciplined routine, which is not my natural flow, so I definitely feel challenged! Also trying out new processes that Iam figuring out on my own. Fun!! It's always good to grow! Funny, its your least favorite lady that I love the most... your forest pixie! She's divine!✨️🧚♀️
Thank you Wendy for this wonderful vlog. My favorite was actually the one you didn’t like and the crone was as well. I’ve been doing some self-portraits and have been learning quite a bit about this old face. I love watching you paint. You are such an inspiration. Blessings to you and James. 💖
Great day to start a new 7 day challenge. I feel this pull to create more from imagination than a printed subject. Thanks for explaining this process is a way for the "Ideas" to spread their wings.
Another beautiful video Wendy! Create every day is definitely the most guaranteed advice for progressing with your art. Although the progress will not be linear, it will be visible in the long run, and that's what's most important I suppose 😊❤
I’m so with you when you say work with the best quality that you can afford. I am a hand spinner and creative weaver and I teach beginners spinning. I introduce my students to quality fleeces and a good wheel. Then they have this unencumbered opportunity to advance their skills .
You always give me so much joy. I was in my sketchbook today when I watched your video; pushing myself outside of my comfort zone! In joy of course! I was so happy for your video today of all days, and I am a hobbyist who is teaching myself to draw, and I haven't put the time (daily) in that I need to to improve my skills, and I can see that using your methods will jump start me on the daily practice I need to institute while consistently pushing myself to get out of my comfort zone to hone new skills that I know for sure I need to work on that I lack. Like depth perception, portraiture and other things like drawing animals. I am a true beginner, but you really inspire me to keep going, and keep creating no matter that I fell behind. I can start over today and set goals and see my improvement in just 7 short days with real consistency. Thanks so much for everything you do and all you inspire me to do! Have a lovely week. You and James! Thanks again! Woohoo to creating!! (No matter what stage you're at!😁)
I have been experimenting with watercolors lately it has been relaxing and interesting . May I suggest water soluble pencils you can draw with and then touch with water and brush and they melt into a painting ….not sponsored but I found Caran d’ache museum aquarelle to be soft and very bendable .YES ENJOY THE PROCESS ! It takes the pressure off and helps you to truly enjoy
Wendy, I Love your videos! I have a serious question for you. Have you ever thought about painting an outside portrait? Maybe Beautiful Landscape in the Spring time or a house or animals etc.? I think you’d be Amazing at it!! Plus the warm Sunshine ☀️ on a cool day and fresh air is good for us all. I just think you’d do Excellent!! I love your fairies too! Especially the very one that you didn’t like much. You have amazing technic.💞
Really happy I tuned into you today Gypsy! I've been trying new styles and mediums outside of painting and having fun. Finally today I was able to break outside the box and just have fun. The perfectionist in me finally took a hike yeahhhh! Relaxing and having fun that's when I'm most creative. So your challenge was perfect. Keep Going the merlaidies and fairies are beautiful as always. Congrats on becoming a grandmother!! I think I might look into a challenge of consecutive days in the studio- Your work is inspiring!!
I truly love 💗 all your art work so beautiful and you are getting better and better all the time I love 💗 watching your improvement I can’t wait for the next video 😊
I did the Inktober challenge. I was amazed at how easy it was to complete a drawing each day. Last year it was a struggle. Lately I can't get enough art time in. I've run out of clean dishes and there is clutter everywhere but I don't care.
Question??? When you start painting in your sketch books do you put any primer on the pages first before you start painting?? I LOVE love your art!❤️❤️❤️❤️
i had too many life tabs open. I had to take a day off, play in the dirt, run around barefooted in the back yard, and just reconnect to what's really important. tabs closed and rebooted! back to work and carring on, hugs.
Find a book of photos, or a fashion magazine. Practice drawing face from those. Alternatively, try to find a drawing tutorial book, that shows you how to do basic shapes, etc.
Recently found your channel and resonate with so much of your journey as I am in the muddle of life right now. I have rarely delved into my art in over 25 years and am hoping to incorporate a couple hours a week relearning and explore painting and drawing again. I want to fall back in love with the play and joy of that part of myself...
I just love your -7 days ..all of your paintings and drawings are so beautiful. Even the one's you not liking...they are beautiful..i Think you are very very good..thats it!!! The last one of day 7..is just perfect...like the new glasses too...😊❤
Dearest Wonderful Wendy, I so loved this video. I remember you encouraged me years ago to want to try watercolors again as I had not since high school. Some sort of mental block has stopped me and my beautiful watercolors sit in my Art Trolley, sad and lonely. I can paint with acrylics until the cows come home. I can paint with THREAD on fabrics and fibers without wanting to put my needle and thread down. I adore quilting, card making, embellishing and recycling clothes....but still am dragging my feet with the watercolor situation. Am I afraid I will fail as I am somewhat of a perfectionist (but have been diligently trying to turn that around to being more relaxed)?? Well, after seeing you go for it and I loved the Crone Lady telling you and guiding you - I am intrigued. Cheers (with water or a smoothie) to your "New You" with happy and healthy life changes. I do so love being a vegetarian. x's lj p.s. I mailed grandma Wendy a little something and hope you enjoy it and take it with grace.
I'm just part way through this visdeo but I love you use of colour - the part where you start using the flesh colour and then bought in the teal! fabulous!
🧡 I am loving the lady's from day 4 and 5 and 6 , they look like 🌱🌿🌳🍄🍁......."Wood Nymphs..."❤. Beautiful. I love the one you are not keen on and also love the older woman. Really interesting to see you develop over the week.😊
All of your little ladies are so beautiful. So glad to see you. Please tell James hello. Have a fabulous day and next week ahead. Take good care of yourself. Sending love and big hugs Sherry 💚 ❤❤
I'm studying a holistic creative therapy course and we are learning to record our emotions feelings through it ❤ and I'm loving it! This video I so related too Wendy 😊🫂 Your paintings are beautiful as always 😊
I really like the weird colors for faces. Its definitely true that after you create a bunch if ugliness that if you keep pushing it very often develops into something amazing.
Thank you for your courage/ inspiration. I was starting some little creative things everyday the last few weeks. Thank you for your self disclosure. Never too late; I'm almost 75.😅
I did the 100 heads challenge and it was so fun. It helped me get used to drawing faces faster. I did some fast and some a bit slower with more detail and some came out terrible but that is ok. I have also done inktober that is one i don't feel went well, i tried to hard and completely overworked myself and made myself exhausted. If i ever do it again it will be a fast and loose style. Sometimes I enjoy pushing myself to do something difficult like all the details of an older person is fun. I would definitely recommend people challenge themselves but try and view challenge as a fun opportunity and remember that there are no rules so tweak the challenges however you like maybe do 100 heads in a month instead of 10 days, maybe do 10 heads instead. make your own challenges up. By the way the head you did not like, the overall shape was more realistic....maybe that is why you did not like it, as it had less whimsey to you. I personally thought it was really good.
Wow such an inspirational video. Tfs Wendy. Love to see your process and progress. The forest fairy is my favourite. Also the one with the roses. Great challenge.
Hi Wendy, My mother passed away this morning, and the grief is so raw. As she was passing over to the other side, I saw a fairy/angel with wings and a long flowing gold dress, which I am going to try and paint just because of you and your wonderful kind vlogs. Thank you for being there for me
My condolences on the passing of your mom. 🫶🏻creating helps the grieving process.
Oh so sad. Thoughts from France for you.

Yes!!! Life without the scrolling! 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼
I like the idea of "communing" with one's art. That's exactly how I feel about my relationship with my art (I'm a writer).

Maiden, mother, and crone. The stages of a woman’s life. Love watching you work. ❤❤❤ I love the green goddess. Earth fairie!
Your fairies are so youthful and lovely... but grandmothers are by far the most endearing fairies in most people's lives. I challenge you to paint beautiful portraits of our more senior fairies. They deserve to be graced by your talents.
That’s a Beautiful Idea!!!💞

This is what I need right now. Lot of healing needed here across the pond. 😢
Being creative definitely helps us process life doesn’t it xxx

The last painting, the one where you didn't draw the face first, is a lovely, natural image; she reminds me of a character out of Jane Austen! Oh enjoy when you get there and in your newly organised space! xx And yes, I thought she was Lillie Langtry! xx
Dear Wendy, I LOVED it when you put on your flower crown! This video was truly inspiring for me. Thank you! Be gentle -- with yourself xx
A very Big THANK YOU for everything sharing in this channel.
"closing tabs".......I TotaLLy hear this- that is pretty much what I'm doing- literally & metaphorically, at the moment. Love your channel
Hiya Wendy. Its been a very long time since Ive checked in with you.I love the idea of painting our Elders.Im v stuck painting beautiful Goddesses with gowns and flowing hair and winter trees
.I would like to break out of this.I loved your water colour women!I was looking at the prints I bought from you awhile back and whilst I adore fairies and mermaids;I would not have thought the same Artist did both.So well done.
Wendy darling I love this your vids are my fuel I love communicating with my artwork asking them questions listening to what they want to tell me ❤
lovely to hear! It's part of the process!
Very inspiring video Wendy. Thank you. A few months ago a friend and I decided we would challenge each other to every day doing something creative and sharing with each other. Been so beneficial for both of us. No guidelines or rules, just create and share.
You are looking fantastic Wendy. Great video thanks❤
I love your paintings. You inspired me to do a 7 day challenge, doing 7 different ages of people. Think it will really help me to understand the face. Thank you for your light always shining bright ❤
Go for it! Sounds fab!
Lovely to hear your process of growing and changing was affirmed like that xx I may do a series yes! x
Thank you for this ⚘️
I need this right now in my life
Yes I do commune with my artwork!! I have dozens of little nature spirits living and running about in my studio, and I find many out in wild places. Or rather they find me. But yes they do occasionally come to me in dreams. Many come during my meditation walks:)
I immediately thought mermaid when I watched you paint her💙 love love love!!
oh fabulous! xxx
Thank you. I have been painting daily for several years. I have seen growth in numerous ways. 🖌🎨💗
Most beautiful kindness to you today for sharing with us.
Good on you, Wendy! It looks like you are in a really good place right now. Your ladies are lovely xx
😍 number seven is my favourite, she has a deep, cheeky character. Thank you for sharing your process, you are an inspiration 😊💐
This video was lovely. Maybe a shorter term challenge will work better for me than the longer ones.
Your Day 7 little lady just glows with life! And I love that the wise crone came up to be painted, too. Your videos are like gentle hugs, and through them, you inspire me to try new creative challenges. Thank you!
Aww thank you xx makes me so happy to hear xxx
It's always a pleasure listening to you talking about making art.
I loved this and your last upload so much, as they were gentle and "artisty". Thank you so very much for showing up ❤
That lovely green "little lady" looks totally like The Forest Fairy - and those bits in her hair are like leaves. So lovely! (I wrote that in the middle of the video and now at the end I heard you call her a "Forest Pixie!) 🙂
I adore the tree sprite!!! She speaks to me of sadness and yearning. Thank you.
I love all your work! You are very inspirational even though I don't paint or draw. But I do other creative things. And my favorite of your paintings so far that I've watched in this video is that Green Forest Fairy that you struggled to like!! She is beautiful and has a certain attitude that I just love❤❤❤
Love the glow from the monochromatic study! and LoveLOVE LOVE your Vivienne Westwood glasses
Thank you Wendy!! So beautiful. The little lady you say you struggled with the most looks so stunning!!
Hello sweet Wendy, I watched this twice this evening, I can tell your feeling better by the excitement and speed the way your voice sounded.
I enjoyed this video and the reinforcement of giving ourselves some grace, to challenge ourselves. Use our good papers, paints and give our selves compassion… we all have good days and bad days…
You are so open and honest… I’m not put off one bit… you’ve helped me a lot today…
Thank you my dear friend.
The phone changed feotal(sp?) Position to mental.I didn't write that.
Love the idea calling it an ideas book…..takes away the fear for me.❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you, Wendy, for the share!
Thank you so much for being so honest and personal❣ Very interesting and inspiring, thank you❣🤗
Welcome, glad it helps xxxx
Great day to start a new 7 day challenge. I feel this pull to create more from imagination than a printed subject. Thanks for explaining this process is a way for the "Ideas" to spread their wings.
Another beautiful video Wendy! Create every day is definitely the most guaranteed advice for progressing with your art. Although the progress will not be linear, it will be visible in the long run, and that's what's most important I suppose 😊❤
absolutely agree, absolutely true! and sometimes we are not in the mood! haha!
Wonderful video and it’s giving me the courage to go ahead with my personal art challenge for December 🎄 thank you for your words of wisdom Wendy! 😊
I like to finish off watercolor with aquarelle colour pencils or soft pastels..lov from South Africa 🇿🇦 🇿🇦 🇿🇦
loving that last one xx
I’m so with you when you say work with the best quality that you can afford. I am a hand spinner and creative weaver and I teach beginners spinning. I introduce my students to quality fleeces and a good wheel. Then they have this unencumbered opportunity to advance their skills .
such a good teaching technique, x lovel to hear that x
(No matter what stage you're at!😁)
Yes! Do it! It will change your world! 🌍 😚😚✨✨🫶🏼
Hi Wendy. Love the creativity. Love your playfulness. Ty for another heartfelt video.
I love day 7. ❤
Oo oo older ladies yes please.. and younger something like water babies ? Cant wait to see what you do.
Wow🎉 Thank You for being such an inspiration!!!! You shine ✨ ❤
I truly love 💗 all your art work so beautiful and you are getting better and better all the time I love 💗 watching your improvement I can’t wait for the next video 😊
Thank you! Love you and your wonderfully amazing growth following paths!! Wild and free!¡ happiness!
weeeee yes, wild and free all the way! xx thanks so much
Wow, awesome
I did the Inktober challenge. I was amazed at how easy it was to complete a drawing each day. Last year it was a struggle. Lately I can't get enough art time in. I've run out of clean dishes and there is clutter everywhere but I don't care.
I'm speaking of my experience, not calling your work ugly!
Congratulations on becoming a Grandma!
Today I finished settling up my art studio! I need to challenge myself. I need to learn to draw faces.
Oh sounds wonderful, enjoy your coming back to it xxx
I just love your -7 days ..all of your paintings and drawings are so beautiful. Even the one's you not liking...they are beautiful..i Think you are very very good..thats it!!! The last one of day 7..is just perfect...like the new glasses too...😊❤
Oh wow thanks so much xx
I do so love being a vegetarian. x's lj p.s. I mailed grandma Wendy a little something and hope you enjoy it and take it with grace.
very inspiring, which has encouraged me to progress with my own crazy art project :)
Wonderful! Go for it! xx
I absolutely adore the little green tree sprite - she is absolutely gorgeous! xx
Thank you poppet xxx appreciate that! She taught me so much! Xx sending much loved cx
Thank you! You too! And yes will send your hello to James xxx
Love your last piece with no pencil sketch, it looks… more sculpted? Integrated? Thanks as always for the inspiration!
Loved it your art amazing. I even loved the girl face you difnt like. Might draw on train tommorrow. Thanks for you your ideas❤😂
I was riveted to this video. I want to do this as well.
Lovely video. You are so right
Thank you for your courage/ inspiration. I was starting some little creative things everyday the last few weeks.
Thank you for your self disclosure.
Never too late; I'm almost 75.😅
You’re so right, never too late! Xx
Thank you so much! Appreciate your encouragement 😚😚🤗✨✨
Love you. Thank you
Thankyou lovely Wendy ✨🫶🏻✨
Awe thanks for being here xxx
