I purchased a DR Tow-Behind Trimmer Mower to help with the trimming around and under the White Lightning Coated Electric Fence Wire. It is a motorized, pull-behind string trimmer.
Hitch the All-Terrain model to your ATV (or UTV) and take care of all your rough area trimming and mowing. Great for fence lines, trails, ditches, and more. Quick-Lock Trimmer Head makes cord changes fast and easy. Belted Galloway Homestead

There is this stuff called green slim, that stops slow leaks in tires. It might solve your problem.

Does it ever launch debris at you?

So what's your overall impression on it? How has it held up? I'm looking to use it around my pond, all around our cattle fences, and out by the road ditch.

Thanks for the questions. The pneumatic tires are always going flat. You need to run it on both sides of the fence. You cannot reach the corner post from inside the fence. My ditch banks are steep, and I found turning around difficult. Cutter head would hit the ground and stall engine. I do use it on long easy runs around my pasture fence. Saves on walking with weed trimmer. It does not back up well.

Thanks for the video now I know what not to buy does a terrible job. I've got like two miles of pipe fencing and I'll just stay with a spray rig and Roundup.

They want $1500 for that thing? Nah.

Looks like it is doing a very poor job. Plus the tires....geez. Bottom line-product no good.

Thanks for commenting: There are places that it works great, but I understand your concern. Some people use weed killer under the fence, but I do not do that. Thanks again.

I have one . Not great coming out of the factory. Changed tires to solid ones. Change belt to regular .5 inch belt and changed the pulleys using old mower deck pulleys . Mows like a champ now.

@@Hanswelbergen I'm interested in your approach. Can you explain the pulley swap? Did you go bigger or smaller to adjust RPMs or did the original just clog up? Belts and tires are easy enough.

Pulley was a little bigger . Originally pulley was plastic and I wanted to run a standard size .5 inch belt . Common problem is belts breaking. That stopped after the change . I remember that I gehad to weld the mower pulley on.

@@Hanswelbergen Thank you! I have a couple miles of fence I'd like to keep nicer. Seems a hardened pull behind like this followed by me with a string trimmer for corners and such is a good option.
