- Doc sets up the DR Power tow behind field and brush mower which is essentially a tow behind bush hog unit. This will be used to trim down the front fields and control growth in some areas.

I’ll be waiting on your new tractor video. I’ve never had anyone express excitement about owning one of those.
Kicking butt and taking names. That bush 🐗is awesome!
It’s nice seeing green, up here in Connecticut it’s still brown, no leaves. I do see a tiny bit of green starting in the grass.
Will it hurt anything if I take the forward wheels off for easier to back into the garage, or just general mowing?
Lol, I have a tractor loader-backhoe with a mid mount mower, Cub Cadet zero turn mower, a DR walk behind heavy brush self powered mower, a DR tow behind mower, a STIL blade cutter, an AXIS 700 UTV …….you think I got it covered on 15 acres with 25 degree inclines? well heck no! Now I need a “thumb” grapple to move massive rocks, a box cutter and an army of helpers BUT…… I love the challenge!!!
Thanks Doc
Looking forward to the clover video I want to try a field
alfalfa works the same way. farmers rotated crops between corn and alfalfa to provide natural fertilizers
Not gonna lie, never been a liar, I DEFINITELY thought DR power meant like Doctor Powered like, doc, you’re gonna push it like a manual powered reel mower! 😂😂😂 I was gonna be impressedddddd
Why does the battery keep dying? I’ve replaced the battery twice in one year and as soon as the battery drains dead, the blade stopped turning. Why can’t they be run off the engine?
‘Cut it low and cut it often” lol
The best never rest
I have a question since I have recently purchased a used Dr Tow behind, because of weight of unit. how have you found best way to change mower blades? Thank you.
blades on unit
We have not changed ours. We have plastic ramps if needed.
hey Doc I have about 16 acres on my homestead I have been donating my fields to local families who are in need to feed their farm animals so they come with their own equipment and hay the fields I'm happy I get to give back to my community it really makes me feel good my question is I dont want to buy a huge tractor and attachment like you said but im thinking of getting a 4 wheeler with this attachment do you think its a smart move in doing the whole 4 wheeler or should I get a zero turn mower ?
It's about 400 pounds so keep that in mind. We run with the UTV in LOW gear and it's fine but it's an AXIS 500 so look at the horse power issue.
Is that perennial rye or annual?
Is there any accumulation under the deck mowing the rye??
Not much and a few saplings will clean any off.
@@HowTowithDoc good stuff.
Hi how is the dr tow behind mower holding up. Does the tow bar hold up ?
Yes it does, but we removed the extension that offsets it. We only use one section.
Can you decide on what ads appear?
We cannot
Does it show a visible adjustment level?
No, we bottom it out and then count the turns on each side.
Hey. Correct me if I am wrong but I thought you had a relationship with Toro I only ask because they own the company ventrac now and I could not think of a better way of showcasing what one of their tractor systems could do as an all-around system as it would on your property covering everything from driveway maintenance the field maintenance to a bucket to finish cutting everything I was just wondering sir it does not seem like there would be a better fit
Nope... never had a Toro
Why didn't ya use the John Deere?
David owns the Deere and bush hogs twice a year on the upper property
you can actually offset that mower to, to where its not directly behind you.
How can I learn more about clover
Video coming this week
The sound is messed up......
I have way less property than you and get a frigging tractor already.
Credentials: I also have a side by side
Not really needed.
How do you connect it to the atv? It keeps hitting the atv when I turn?
You can't turn sharp... and we took off the first arm. We run it short.
Hmm. Men and there toys.
Read the instructions . The top will flip off .
I'm confused...
Buy a tractor
You will be mad u haven't done it b4 now. Once u have had it for awhile. No one said u have to buy a 30k tractor. I have a 48 ferguson with attachments for under 10k
Good luck
have to say that's about dumb to have that long tongue mower verses just buying a zero turn 60" probably for about the same price...but his goat, his rope....lol
A zero turn is a one trick pony…but your opinion, your comment…lol
@@AnX8765 Right…for a small cart, etc. Ever tried to do real work with a zero-turn mower? I’ve got a nice Gravely zero turn and it’s great for its intended purpose but marginal at best for anything else. Whatever you would realistically use to tow one of these mowers with (ATV, SxS, garden tractor) could serve many other purposes.
@@AnX8765 Then why comment if you don’t have context? In addition, a standard riding mower will not handle the volume of tall grass, brush, small saplings that a mower like this would…so it’s not about being more versatile, it’s about apples vs. oranges.
