Fixing Nintendo DSi R Trigger Buttons

    If you're getting an issue where you're triggers continually press after following this video, you may have to actually open up the small box that holds the grey rubber piece in the trigger and remove that and a small piece of circular shaped aluminum, then you can take a toothbrush and scrub out the insides of the trigger. Be VERY careful when doing this, as these pieces are small and can be lost very easily.
    If you're triggers don't click, you may need to find a replacement part. What makes the trigger work and click is the small circular aluminum piece inside the trigger box. It's slightly convex, and when pressed down, it should pop right up. If you're triggers don't click, that means that aluminum piece may have been flattened out from pressing too hard or overuse.

    This video was very helpful, I got one of my two triggers working. I did end up breaking off both of the metal parts off the buttons, they are kinda way too fragile. I think I'll buy a new sd+triggers module, and this video will still be helpful to see the teardown!

    Didn't work at first,then i tried this method again and clicked the button many times and that did the trick! r-trigger restored!

    man i wish i could just send it to someone at this point xD I cant get the rubber buttons off the back they broke in the middle and are way too hard to carve out haha

      check to see if ribbon cable is connected properly
