The quality of replacement shells have gotten nicer and this DSi shell is worthy. This can be a tedious job so take your time. Let me know if you have any questions regarding this upgrade.

Great tutorial! I really appreciate the clear step-by-step instructions and attention to detail. It's easy to follow, and I love how you kept the buttons black. Keep up the great work! This will definitely help many people replace their Nintendo DSi housing successfully. 👍🏻

The clear transparent shells are awesome but just remember that you can never use or play it again because eventually opening it and closing it will cause the hinges to fall apart because it is a brittle material I’ve done this with my Nintendo DS lite so I had to switch back to the original shell that was on it so the purpose of the clear shells are not for playing any games but for displaying them only

Love how you don't actually touch the parts. Did this with my lite. Apparently the hinge didn't fit so well. So it broke the hinge. Got to sell it though.

How did you put the voluem button? Inserting it after putting the rubber pad? Mine just keep falling off...

I did forget to show that, attach the pad to the button, then install the button assembly into the housing shell
