- The hardest hike of my life, will we make it to the top? And could you too?
These are the 2 whole days of adventure from Kundasang to the top of Mount Kinabalu, but it's not gonna be an easy one, we're gonna go through it step by step and fight with ourselves in order to deserve it...
I will share my impressions all along the way, you will see all the struggles on this raw version and how is ACTUALLY is.

Go to mount tahan in Pahang, make sure u prepare mentally and physically. Its usually a 4 days 3 night trip, camping in the jungle. You will meet a lot of rare animals

Im johorean born living in Kota Kinabalu for 23years. Climbed and conquered Mt. Kinabalu on year 2k and got the special millennium certificate. It's a challenge and mind over body. When your body is damn tired and about to break but your mind say let's go. You can achieve great things!!

I climbed Mount Kinabalu in 1986 & 1987. I was 14 & 15 then, now I'm 50, I don't think I can do it again but anyway congratulations Alwin you did it. You are a nice person, God bless you.
my late father went back to mount kinabalu in his 50 after a failed attempt due to me and my mother got altitude sickness (me being the worst as i was unfortunately a heavy smoker 30 yrs ago), He succeeded to the peak and got the colored certificate ^^ . You can do it too , just make sure to atleast start hiking lower trail first( for a few month) to get back the stamina.

I climbed twice back in '88 & '90 and I always wanted to climb again. However, after my heart attack I don't think I will climb Mt. Kinabalu again. Also being in my fifties now.
Many people age above 65 have climbed Kinabalu successfully.
i climbed when I was 38. I was having flu/fever and was rather slow. A man in his 70 was much faster than me.
I'm sabahan and have not climb the mountain yet. One day for sure, but I'm still not fit enough 😭😭. Anyways, thank you for sharing your experiences, your thoughts, your feelings, your positivity, it's contagious and very endearing ❤️❤️ I loved every moment of the climb and especially the little squirrel that almost stowed away in your bag 🤣🤣 The view must've been unreal in person, the sunrise, the color of the sky, the clouds, breathtaking, that's exactly the reason sabah is called "The Land Below The Wind", the mountain is amongst the wind and we live below the clouds. It was definitely a fun and inspiring video, looking forward to more ✨✨
try lower but very energy demanding mountain first, my suggestion is bintang mountain in kedah and a lot of mountain in perak

Thanks for giving me the motivation to go an climb the Mount Kinabalu before I leave Sabah for good this year. I will miss Sabah a lot and I want to see that same beautiful sunrise from the top of Malaysia.
I've reached the peak twice. First one when i was 16, second was at 26. I think im gonna go for a third climb when i'm 36 which is in 2 years to come. Third time's a charm i guess :)

I climbed in 2000, 23 years ago. I still remember how difficult it was to capture the low peak. At that time you have to prepare your own food at the laban rata. congratulations Alwin on making it so successful.
Congratulations alwin. Such a great energy you have able filming video at same time hiking. For me my energy drain with altitude sickness can't even snap a lot of picture. I just have a few photos my experience hiking the mountain kinabalu 10 years ago..the rest remains as memories in my heart.

the memories of the 80's for me come back now...I was 21yrs old then...proud to reached to that Low's Peak the highest peak in South East Asia.. thanks for sharing...I also went to the Zugspitze in Germany's highest mountain but to reach it is only via Cable car... so mount Kinabalu still challenging...hehehe...

Im from KL, twice climbed mount kinabalu, second climbed i did via feratta. In 2007 when i was super fit, i reached the peak at 3.15am !!!!
