I wish I had the courage to do this… I suppose desire is stronger than possibility of death. Funny how some folks would think nothing of doing this, while others wouldn’t even climb up on that railing, then you have the other folks who like me, regrettably, would absolutely love to do it, but allows the worst scenarios to turn us into cowards. Nice msg. I think I understand.
I am not a fearless thrill seeker. In fact I’m f ing peaking while doing this. But I now know I have the skill to be able to do it, so I let my body do it.
I think that’s what I love about these sports, like paragliding and skydiving, sometimes they scare the absolute shit out of me, but the reward on the other side of that fear is what makes me come back for more.
If you break paragliding progression down to small stages, the courage required to do each small step is quite small, and easier to manage. Once you understand the gear and conditions it becomes a lot easier.
I wish everyone could fly, or would try. It changed my life, and I would love to inspire anyone to give it a go, including you my friend.

(But don't push him away! He might hit the trees when the wind is not right.
Only the pilot decides when or whether it is safe to fly.)
Edit: I have got a good hint (look at the replies) and I looked at the video again, he was holding him to not fall fack down. Yes, thank you, good hint. It really looks like he was supporting his back, to keep him on the hand rail. And he just kept his hand loosely on his back as he started off from there and didn't push him... He was able to fly)
