    Some of the comments on your feed here is truly out of this world. I don't know why people have to be so negative and make inappropriate comments. This is for enjoyment not to air your pet peeves. If you don't like something, go to another site. They comment on how you eat, who you have in the video, how they eat, how they talk, who you visit, who you do not, etc. etc
    David, be yourself. You thoroughly enjoy all kinds of food and all kinds of people. There will always be haters or self righteous ones who think they should be given a platform to air their degrading comments. You cannot cover everybody and everything. Just don't give in to the nastiness. There is a lot out there.

      Most of our Indo- Trini dishes are inspired by the relative culture/tribes that came from india to the Caribbean through ibdentureship. Doubles is inspured by chole bhature. However most of the East Indian diaspora are not aware of the native roots of their food styles because we are not aware of our ancestry or where specifically in India our ancestors came from. Our common hindi dialect spoken is bhojpuri that I do know.

      @Ajm833 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That aloo stuffed thing is called aloo pie. But we also have aloo paratha too. If no one told you, half of Trinidad’s population consists of Indian descendants who’s ancestors came to Trini as indentured laborers during British colonization. Our country is multi-cultural..🇹🇹

    These videos are insightul however limited in variety concerning different ethnic foods of Trinidad, because Trinidad is a melting pit. Yes,we all love roti and doubles, but too much heavy concentration on roti and doubles. There's a host of creole food that was not highlighted except for souse. Tobago has excellent creole food, such as crab and dumpling, provisions and stewed fish and callaloo. It was not highlighted whatsoever. Mostly,indian food which is not correct representation of Trinbagonian food on a whole. David kept saying Indian food, Trinidad Indian food is not Indian food from India it's different in taste and appearance. I believe the tour guide should have been someone who knows about the full culture and history of Trinidad and Tobago and her cuisine, the presentation in my opinion could have been alot better .

      Janese: I quite agree 💯% with you. I am not sure about bias but I can tell you one thing for sure, every single video that I have seen about street food in Trinidad is about roti and doubles. Trinidad is an island country of many cultures and every one should be highlighted. If that wasn't done in this case, then I blame Tourism Trinidad and anybody else who was responsible for his visit to Trinidad. Let's wait and see the other videos and then we can really criticize. Let's not blame David because it's what was arranged for him. He is doing a good job, though.

    My mom is venezuelan but I was born kn Trinidad. Live the fact that you were able to incorporate cuisines of both cultures in your videos.
    Given the chance I'd have loved to have shown you a spot that feels a bit more "home-ish" and serves the tequeños a bit different but i'm still really glad you got to experience and try the goods and had a good time. Keep up the good work man. Suerte. Chau

    I hate the taste of Katchori but you made it look tasty.i am a saheena person. Trinidad has some of the tastiest food. I don't know I felt like you've tried doubles 100 times..lol it's good but everyday. I hope you got some unique bites, a pork chow, Sunday lunch, oil down and fry fish some differences. You'd be suprised to know the Afro Trinidadians cook differently, I have cousins who've never had Dhal. The breakfast consist of Saltfish and Fry bakes , with avocado sometimes. Coconut bakes and anything, smoked herrings etc.
