I really appreciate you doing the Venezuelan food I am Trinidadian or Venezuelan heritage as much as I enjoy the east Indian cuisine which most people focus on a lot of people don't focus on the Spanish heritage or the Creole heritage as much when talking about Trinidad
I was shocked as well to see Venezuelan food being tasted because I've never seen anyone venture outside of Indian cuisine here I'm really hoping he got to try creole food or at least Sunday Lunch

I visited Trinidad 🇹🇹 in December 2017 Watching these videos is making me miss the energy and FOOD! I almost forgot how delicious it all is. Thanks for reminding me lol. I’m from Brooklyn NYC and we have a lot of Caribbean people here and restaurants but nothing is better than island food from the source! and of course cheaper lol. Jamaica is also high on my list to visit
yeah the food here in nyc does not compare to getting it in trinidad or jamaica. there are some good places out here for sure, but nothing compares to the islands

Just so you all out there with the negative comments I haven’t been to Trinidad in almost 16 years and nobody could have done a better job than Jason Peru I don’t know the guy I never met him but his descriptive contact is excellent, he is an amazing host and presenter this is the only country that has such comments so that’s not a good reflection of T & T so maybe you all could work on that Amen ! & Hallelujah!
I observe that you are experiencing east indian, chinese, syrian and chinese. However the African population is a very large population and has a very large influence also. So im hoping you got to experience that. Bless.

Most of our Indo- Trini dishes are inspired by the relative culture/tribes that came from india to the Caribbean through ibdentureship. Doubles is inspured by chole bhature. However most of the East Indian diaspora are not aware of the native roots of their food styles because we are not aware of our ancestry or where specifically in India our ancestors came from. Our common hindi dialect spoken is bhojpuri that I do know.
Bro there is no comparison between Cachapas and Indian Dosas! There are two completely different sides of the spectrum in terms of taste, ingredients, texture, etc. They are both excellent in their own way.
I went to this same Venezuelan restaurant at 11:20am today Sunday May 29th because David highlighted them so I had Venezuelan food in Caracas and Magarita and it was amazing so I was excited to know I can have it in TRINIDAD 🇹🇹 I'm disappointed the service was piss poor it had one Venezuelan family seated I entered the dining area and sat I spoke to a lady and she said someone would take My order no one did I was waiting for awhile it's not like the place busy so I realized wait so your not Venezuelan so your presence isn't important so I got up to leave and that's when they decided to take My order I said don't bother TRINI PEOPLE DON'T PATRONIZE THIS PLACE DON'T SAY I DIDN'T WARN YOU... THEY'RE UNFRIENDLY!!!

How's the market for Venezuelan cuisine in Trinidad and Tobago? Trinidad looks like the Singapore of the Caribbean. Lots of cultural cross fertilisation going on that's reflected in its cuisine.
Saheena is popular in India in Maharashtra state. It's known as Aloo Vadi and made using Arbi/Taro ( vegetable ) leaves and chickpea flour. The only difference in Trinidad it's eaten with some sauces and chana curry whereas in India we just eat Aloo Vadi directly.

There are other traditional food like pelau, crab and callaloo, Spanish rice, etc. Not only doubles and roti!
