Hey everyone. Hope you are all doing excellent. Up until recently I operated a side loader a 2006 International tandem axle with a labrie packer unit i used to do 1500 homes a day in and around the Edmonton Alberta Canada area used to average about 4ton then got a 2011 International side loader tandem axle with a labrie packer unit and my co worker got 6.6780 tons. Hats off to anyone in this industry. Be safe and God Bless You All.
good old fashioned manual labour! good on the people for having a seperate green waste collection! like how the feller can ride on the back too, that's illegal over here in UK, they taken the fun out of the job, bin men have never had it so easy with all the lifting equipment and wheeled bins! Bring back ALL the manual labour i say, then i'd feel PAYING COUNCIL TAXES is worth it! the trucks wouldn't cost so much money either just having the old open back style!
That packmor RL tailgate looks closely identical to the old CCC IRL trucks that I used to see! In addition, that CCC chassis sounds like it has a 3206 cat diesel engine! I'm baffled that theydon't bag their grass clippings!
Those "Inedible" trash bins were originally made for restaurants and/or butcher shops and the scraps they have after they cut away all the good stuff off of the meat. A separate rendering company (down south it's Baker Commodities, up here it's called Sacramento Rendering Company) will collect it for recycling to be made into bio-fuels, etc. These are the same companies that collect restaurant grease.
Good ol' #079...I really miss the sounds of these although i really cant complain because at the newers ones are loud do you remember if they got these around the same time as the 03-05 octos? pretty large stops even for clairemont but this must be the area that they automated never thought of this but wonder how often they replace the tippers? i mean many of them arent hardly used but being showered in greens juice all day probably isnt good neither.. think ill go watch the other parts now lol
Haha..yeah exactly. There's also Darling up here too. But the meat scraps and "deadstock" as they call it, is collected by a different kind of truck, one I'm sure I'll see sometime.
I don't care if the driver is lazy or not, he can help.. It's just an environmental technology. New sanitation item: Greens. Because, it produces biofuels for trucks, cars and more..
Doesn't San Fransisco do that to with their organics... they like collect organics from restaurants and businesses as well as residents and send it off to be processed by another company... or was it their own facility?!?!?! I reckon it's interesting how they use FLs to collect organics in commercial!
is it me, or do all these American Rear loaders rev the engine really high but the packer runs slow? normal engine speed in the uk is 900-1100 rpm and 15-20 secs packer cycle

It's called "backpacking"; the helper Opens the rear blade and the pushes the front blade Forwrd, re-compressing the load to make it Super Dense.

NICE PAKMOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think it's just a thing, who ever's on the back does the work while the driver sits in the air conditioned cab! LOL!!! Some drivers are different!

I am not sure but i think he meant gas generated from the green waste. But hey seems like garbage would create more gas than green waste.
I re bet this vid
no but if a fire were to break out and make its way into the body, then you might have a problem depending on the contents in there.
