You left this exact comment on my TikTok and didn’t answer even one question. Why is it that HUNDREDS of people who follow each and every instruction of the products you provide experiencing extreme hair breakage if that’s the case? Please provide us with answers.
@@SaraLoves88 Olaplex is all I've used for the last 2 yrs, along with my 16 yr old son. We haven't had any issues but I'm afraid we will! I am so sorry u have experienced these issues. But yes I'm going to need answers as to why this is happening to some ppl b4 I continue use. I'm going to try out Hair Labs by Strands and see how that does. I am so sorry to hear u have experienced so many issues with them. Thanks for sharing and thank u for the recommendations! I plan on trying these as well! Can I ask u, out of all the products u mentioned, which is your fave? Thx girl! 🙌💜
@@SaraLoves88 they literally don't care. There are hundreds of people in a Reddit thread, in a Sephora thread, in a Facebook group about the damages they cause and so many of us wrote to them to have answers or just help, and they just copy paste the same answer to every one just saying that they can't cause any damages, that they are perfect in everyway etc... 🙄 The fact that they are not worried about so many people having issues with their products and for years now, having depression because of the damage they cause etc... Just tell us what a bad company they are... They are pos just caring about money and image... (Sorry for any English mistake, I'm french. And yes in France and other countries, we are experiencing the same olaplex issue too unfortunately....)
So true even my hair stylist said that they're not good for us... kevin murphy she recommends.. around the same price too and it works wonders on chemical treated hair ♥️
@@0_Katt_0 Umm, good for you, I guess? But I and a lot of other people didn’t have that experience. What’s the point of your comment ? People have different experiences.
Olaplex made my hair so thin that my hairstylist told me it looked like some trauma had happened to my body/ that’s the only reason for such drastic hair loss in a short amount of time. Sooooo sorry for everyone who’s experienced this too but sooo happy people are speaking up about it. Also, for everyone saying you’re only supposed to use it every so often, etc- NOWHERE on their website says that. It says their shampoo and conditioners are formulated for every day use for ALL HAIR TYPES. Absolute insanity!! 💔
My hair stylist commented only 2 months after starting using that crap that my hair was literally breaking off and so dry. This was literally after she told me prior that my hair was the healthiest hair she's seen in a long time!!! She asked what happened.. She says olaplex is horrible and told me to immediately stop using it as it was destroying my hair. So I threw it all away. I'm so upset. My hair was coming out in chunks in the shower and still is a little with no other changes. This company should be shut down!
I have blonde highlights, bleached hair basically, and I have noticed that every time I use the Olaplex 3 my hair gets so dry and damaged. And it takes so long for my hair to recover. I have decided I am not using it anymore. I thought I was the only person experiencing this. I’m glad someone is honest and brave enough to say the truth. That’s why I love your Chanel.
Great video. Marketing is a bitch to consumers. I’m a Kerastase user and tried Olaplex last week. After the first usage I noticed hairloss, but loved the shine. I used it for the second time today and now my hair is like straw and it’s falling out even more. I’m so done with it. Money wasted! Hopefully my hair grows back fast.
This is almost my exact experience with Olaplex. My hair is color treated (brown/black) and I followed the instructions of ALL the products with a timer and/or actually used them less than directed. My hair is severely damaged. It will take years to grow out. Never again! Olaplex has been contacted numerous times by our group. The only response we get is the bot. They have not reached out to us at all. They are however, reaching out to all the big hair influencers. This whole situation is just so sad. Ps. You are beautiful and have gorgeous hair. I’m so sorry this happened to you. Thank you for being brave and sharing your experience. ❤️
I’m sorry for your hair … I’m currently trying to find common points in negative reviews for olaplex . Did you make keratin treatment for your hair ? Or it was just dyed hair ?
oh my goodness. My heart just broke. I’ve been using olaplex since 2021. I’ve been fine until the last 2 months. I have never been so depressed….. I took a picture and you can SEE the balding. I have been thinking my hormones have been out of control because like you, my hair is SUPER oily at the scalp and the rest of my hair is DRY, BROKEN, and staticky! I’m so torn. I used to have THICK luscious hair and now it’s ugly.
Same I think my hormones are out of wack cause I've always been dry and had dry hair and now my hair is oily at the top and dry at the ends and my face is oily too now and it was always dry
I used Olaplex #6, 3x, and my hair is ruined! I am losing my hair so badly and have been for over a month now. I just hope I can find something that works and stops the loss of hair!!
im so sorry! I just used it, (0,3,4,5,8) and found my hair to be like STRAW and I'm now freaking out. can I ask how long you used it for before it started breaking? Is mine permanently ruined after using it once do you think? Horrible situation
No. 3 did nothing for my virgin type 3b 3c curly hair, I thought it would repair heat damage but my hair just looked straight on top with hardly a bend or wave. However, I went to the salon and had no 1 and 2 done twice a month apart and it completely transformed my curls I've literally seen like 80% improvement my hair has started to form ringlets on top. At home I use the kerastase curl manifesto line and Kerastase is supreme for me but I will continue to use olaplex no 1 and 2 every now and then at the salon. I don't plan to try olaplex shampoo and conditioner it seems most complaints are about these products
Came here to see If I was the only one. After using the whole line for three years, I have massive amounts of broken hair. I haven't even put any color on it in over a year, due to the fact my hair is in such bad shape now. I've even had to cut "12 INCHES"!!!!! I absolutely believe its something to do with some ingredients in this product. I have colored my hair for over 15 years and use expensive products to keep it healthy, that is until my "OLD" hairstylist recommended the line to me. I have since fired her. I will be trying another line. Just my two cents.
Olaplex DESTROYED my hair. 8 months post usage and still shedding and breaking like never experienced by anything before in my life. I lost 50% of my hair.
I've been using Olaplex for a long time & I've also recently noticed the breakage and product buildup AND I also just caught on to clarifying shampoo. I did not realize the breakage was from the Olaplex, tho. My hairdresser mentioned she didn't like Olaplex, but I didn't listen. Defo gonna stop using it. Thanks for sharing. 👍🏽
Olaplex ruined my hair too; I had to take 7 inches off and I have curly hair. Protein fills in gaps in hair (these gaps can occur from any type of damage). Olaplex repairs broken disulfide bonds; the only way disulfide bonds break are through chemical processes such as dying, perming, or relaxing. Both can cause the hair to become too strong and break (elasticity and some softness is necessary to maintain its integrity). Its about a balance and its tricky to find. The manufacturer/brand should stop proclaiming its for everyone for sure, but I knew that as its how science works. I just did not think it would be possible that using it just a few times would have done that much damage. I figured that I would see it doing damage before breakage would be possible just like with products that contain protein, but its a very strong product.
Thanks for the video! In August I bleached my hair 3 times. I wanted to go back from black to blonde, like it always was. My hair was literally elastic like noodles. I have been using all olaplex products for 3 months and my hair is back to how it used to be! So happy with it! But unfortunately after a few weeks I notice that my hair is thinning and falling out. When I use other shampoos and conditioners, the hair loss seems to have disappeared as well. I only use no6 and no7 and it works really well for my hair! But unfortunately no more shampoo and conditioner from olaplex. I've spotted a lot of baby hair and I don't want it to break any further.. Thank you for your experience!
To all the morons saying Olaplex is a protein....Olaplex is NOT a protein so it's not a protein issue. My friend hair fell out from using Olaplex . Many women suffered from hair fall out from using this product. There's now a lawsuit. I never jumped on bandwagons. When you finally find something that works stick with it. If it's not broken don't fix it. I'm glad your hair is bouncing back...it looks nice :).
The claims are not false and the lawsuit is ongoing. I would never shit on a product that actually works. But I’m devastated at the damage that the product has caused my hair. I’m heartbroken. I threw my Olaplex bottles all in the trash.
i had a major loss of my hair after using N-06; the first application; only 01 and i am still suffering major loss, in couple of days i lost a lotttttttt combing my hair is a nightmare as it falls down; at the beginning i even though i may have some disease :( until i realized what i have changed in my routines . lesson learned i paid lot for something that is not working, i should have stuck to my head and shoulders, i had the best silky hair now the middle is just brittle and i don't feel i have hair anymore.
@🦸♀️𝓛𝓲𝓵𝓵𝔂 𝓜𝓪𝓻𝓲𝓳𝓮 𝓡𝓪𝓿𝓮𝓷𝓼𝓫𝓮𝓻𝓰𝓮𝓷 for me it did not work at allllll,, it can work for you as they are now saying it is for chemically treated hair, mine has never been dyed or tempered with and this might be the disclaimer we were not told. i am not going to use it again for sure. The texture of the hair has changed just incredible. I feel it brittle and harsh , I feel bad I just wanted to improve my hair and make it healthier.
The lawsuit had nothing to do with hair breakage. It was an ingredient that was apparently used in trace amounts for fragrance but was phased out because in larger amounts could harm reproductive health
This is the 2nd report against Olaplex I’ve seen lately. Until now, I’ve heard stylists rave about how great it is... yet when I bought it, used it once, I didn’t like the feel, so I never used it again. I was confused as to why it didn’t feel and sit right on my hair, but now I know why.
Same here. I’m extremely upset at the hair stylist that recommended this!!! His name is blowout professor. His advice on using this product for daily hair care is wrong !!!
It’s probably a matter of time , not to wish you bad luck. Olaplex is like that wolf in sheep clothing boyfriend, sweet at first, then shows you hot pepper 🌶️ after lol
I'm lying in the bathtub right now soaking my hair in clarifying shampoo. I just ordered all the products to you recommended. Thank you so much. I will update with my progress and results. You are the best! I wish I'd seen this last year when you posted it.
I am heartbroken to find a community where the same thing horrible thing happened to ALL OF US! I used Olaplex for 2 years religiously. My hair was so thick, healthy, and beautiful. I've lost about half of my hair and have the same exact problem. Broken hairs of all lengths, those stubborn baby hairs (if that is what I can even call them) barely framing my face, and brittle dead looking hair. I am so distressed and appreciate you posting what has helped you get through this.
If ur hair was healthy, thick & beautiful then WHY would you use Olaplex that's formulated for brittle, damaged hair? Healthy hair don't need much products nor need the repair treatments! I in contrast have damaged hair after too much coloring and Olaplex saved it! Of course after nursing it to a good health I am going to stop using Olaplex till it's needed again. For now just mild shampoo & mask of preference.
Sounds like protein overload. It's not the product. Products such as Olaplex, Amika (The Kure) etc, are not meant to be used frequently. They are treatment products. They have proteins in them, so use them sparingly.
@@arabella4032 Hi Arabella, let me clarify. My hair was "healthy" for being dyed bleach blonde every few months, and consistent heat styling. As any self-respecting woman who cares about routine hair maintenance, it is not out of the ordinary to want to do at-home preventative and restoring treatments. Professional stylists have recommended Olaplex to me and I used the brand appropriately, according to the instructions. I did NOT use this product daily or irresponsibly on seemingly super healthy hair. I see where you are coming from, but I do not think you understand what these women and myself have experienced. I hope you do not find out what this community has regretfully discovered. Best of luck.
I'm a hairstylist/colourist and I've been using olaplex religiously for the past year and started to notice major breakage a couple of months ago out of nowhere. I know it wasn't from being coloured or lightened because I haven't done that! So I was confused. My hair is breaking from high up the hair shaft. I've never experienced this and I'm pissed! It wasn't until watching videos of other people experiencing what seems like the same thing, that I made the connection that it was the olaplex!!! I stopped immediately and have purchased kerastase in hopes that I can get my healthy, long hair back🤞
Kerstase masquintense for thick hair is keeping my ends moisturized and supple while I grow out this mess. I had to chop off a good 6 inches to even out the breakage to the new growth, I wish I could upload photos because as a hairstylist/colourist for almost 20 years I have never experienced this hair change especially when it hasn’t been touched with lightener/bleach!
@@lyndsayb4711 Thank you so much for your reply. 🙏🏼❤️ I am going to try it with a deep-cleansing shampoo first in hopes that it's going to get rid of some of the so called protein build up. And yes, I agree with you cause I have never seen my hair this damaged either! Wish you a lovely day ☀️
Hi 👋 Chemically treated hair here and mine also got SUPER DAMAGED. Started shedding like crazy after using Olaplex. Had breakage, straw hair, the whole 9. This company is garbage and I wouldn’t recommend anyone do anything with it except throw it in the garbage. I’m currently taking hair vitamins, collagen & trying to salvage my once beautiful hair 😣
I started using olaplex a few months ago for the first time. I used the hair mask maybe twice but was using the bonding oil alot. I wanted to strengthen my hair since I got alot of highlights. Since then, I have lost 8 INCHES OF HAIR. My hair is so THIN in the area where I would use the oil. I thought it was my hairdresser [when she was doing my hair] that caused this. NOPE! Reading all these comments - describes exactly what happend to me. DRY/BRITTLE thinning hair. I had to cut some inches off just to have a "full look". My hair looked like a broom missing 75% of the bristles. I would never recommend any of their products. My co-worker who started using the products and a friend of mine around the same time - HAD THE SAMEEE ISSUE. There is no way 3 of us had the same issue at the same time randomly.
I've died my hair red for years and Olaplex made my hair like straw! I did exactly as directed and its like absolute straw and does not hold moisture at all and to comb it after a wash with a large tooth comb is a nightmare as well its like trying to come dry seaweed in how it mats together. My hair is past my waist so when I say I dye my hair I mean I am that careful with it. Never in my life have I seen anything like this. I have normally Disney princess hair in thickness and in breakage I've lost like 50 of the thickness to my hair. I had lab work done - saw my hematologist, had iron infusion, more labs, saw my GP, went to a dermatologist, to be told nothing is wrong with the hair follicles and that it might be stress. What stress??? My life isn't stressed at all the only thing new in my life was Olaplex and I did this treatment with No. 3 a year and a half ago and the hair fall on this has been crushing to see happen and I've never seen anything like this in my life and I was NEVER a Diva Curl product buyer. The only new to cause this level of damage was and is Olaplex. Also I've never done a protein treatment in my life either.
Blanku2: How is your hair now? I also have long hair, coloured it, never put any heat on it eather. Its 3 months since I used Olaplex nr 3 shampoo and balsam. My hair STILL falls out! Have you managed to stop the fallout or is it still the same? Thank you for awsering 😊
I came back to this video. Yesterday I saw on the news Olaplex is being sued for hairloss. They still deny the allegations and say their product is safe. It’s not. They are hoping it goes away. Thankfully I never did it. I have enough issues with hair loss from anemia and thyroid issues. Staying away from all chemicals for my health.
I went from keratase to olaplex and my hair became course and started falling out. I dye my hair and it was in great condition using only keratase. I’ve used keratase off and on for 25 years and will never change again!
Been using Olaplex no 4 and 5 for a year and stopped about a month ago .. my hair thinned out SO much and the shedding was insane!!! I'm now hoping to recover everything that has been lost with this terrible brand!!! I am starting to use Nioxin shampoo and conditioner as well as a collagen treatment to help rebuild my hair health!
I experienced the same damage after using the Olaplex Healthy Hair system twice this month. The first time my hair felt extremely dry, fizzy and tangled, so I thought perhaps I did not leave the No. 0 and No. 3 combo on long enough before I used the Olaplex shampoo and conditioner, or needed to use the mask. So about 9 days later I used it all again, and followed the instructions to the letter, along with No. 4 shampoo, No. 8 intense moisture mask, No. 7 oil and No. 9 bond protector serum. My hair was literally destroyed. I do not mean figuratively, but literally. So much of my hair fell out. Some from the roots, but a lot broken. The amount of hair left in my various brushes and shower drain is shocking and scary. I had a mass of tangles at the roots of my hair and down the entire length (my hair is half way down my back.) For the next two days my hair was so dry and brittle and tangled that I resorted to various 40 minute hair restoration masks like olive oil, mayonnaise, Greek yogurt and honey mixtures. I have been using large amounts of hair oils like coconut and awapuhi that have helped. One of the worst things are the sores I have on my scalp that developed after the 2nd use of Olaplex. It has been three weeks and they have not healed and a few new ones have formed since then. I understand that a lot of people love Olaplex and get amazing results, but it is not for my hair type. Which is fine, a little wavy and chemically processed. It will take years for me to outgrow this damage. I hope my scalp and hair follicles recover in order to regrow my hair. I hope the problem is a coating on my hair (as mentioned in the video above.) To me it feels like it is something that has soaked into the hair, or destroyed it from within. I used the products because of their great reviews and because my hair was feeling a little dry from the chemical processing. It is so much worse now, I had no idea what real damage could be done. I have the same one- to three- inch long pieces that stick straight up all over my head, and some are wirey and kinky. The oils that I am using on my hair do make it look presentable and allow me to carefully brush my hair, however, as soon as I wet my hair in the shower it feels like course, matted straw all over again and it makes me realize that the products are merely covering up the damage, not helping to truly correct it. I will try a clarifying shampoo followed by another intense mask as you suggested and see if it helps. I will also try the Unite 7 detangler. My hair has never been this tangled ever. Thank you, Sara. PS- I have requested a refund from Olaplex and will mail back everything I purchased from them today. This was the worst $130 I have ever spent.
Omg!!! Thank you for the information on Orbie. I used Olaplex a month ago 1 time and in the rinse process my hair instantly started to fallout and has felt like straw since. I am so exited to get my hair feeling normal again. I am only using a natural shampoo bar now and a little biosilk conditioner on my ends. I really want my hair back. Thanks for the information on the detangler too.
I can't believe there's no warning on the bottle. I followed the instructions perfectly and on my 3rd use my hair completey changed. The bottom layer of my hair looks completely fried now... And interestingly, the section of my hair that I used as a test strand is the worst (it technically went though 4 treatments)... I heard of this happening before I tried it and I completely ignored people's warnings because so many people were adamant about it being 'impossible' to damage your hair with Olaplex. Lesson learned. 😔
I experienced the exact same thing and started using a clarifying Shampoo to help which it did!! I have mad breakage too 😭😭 but now I’m going to try the kerastase and report back on the progress 🤞🏼Also I used maximum once a week as directed! I think that even though they say it’s for all hair types it is best suited for chemically processed hair!!!
I thought there was something wrong with me. I used Olaplex no 3 and I think it fukking broke my hair. I have never ever experienced this type of hair loss...
I think the thing people don't realize is that with any strengthening/repair hair treatment, especially Olaplex, you must follow up with a conditioning treatment every time or your hair will become straw-like, brittle, dry, etc.and breakoff tremendously. You can't just use it as your stand alone conditioner. Always follow up with a moisturizing mask.
Did it grow back? My hair is currently falling out like crazy with the roots attached after using Olaplex 3. I've made peace with shaving it off at this point, but I'm scared it damaged my scalp and won't grow back.
My hair didn’t fall out, but I have a highlight lowlight situation, and cover my grey roots monthly. Every time I’d go in my stylist would do an olaplaex treatment, I did have broken hair and thought it was new hair growth. And it changed the color that went on, and made it so flat and weird looking, flat, and limp. I’ve been using Aveeno a grocery store brand to clarify and it’s helped a lot! I could NOT figure out why my hair looked so crappy after seeing this new stylist.
I have a lot of hair and have never had hair loss like I've been having since using Olaplex. I've been using it 3 months and only wash once a week and it's not always with Olaplex but was wondering what the heck was going on!! And half of my hair is gone now! Absolute nightmare!!! Olaplex is a poison.
This is such a timely video for me! I was just planning on ordering the whole Olaplex line. I bought the small 1 oz bottles to see if I liked it - I did/do. But, after seeing this, it's a hard pass for me. Thanks Sara!
I also have mostly virgin hair, I have spent last 2 years growing out my blonde colour and switched to Olaplex at the start as I wanted to use good quality products on my new natural hair. Olaplex do state their products are good to maintain the health & integrity of virgin hair. Recently my hair has become very dry, brittle & straw like. Its gone really thin & breaking, I have only used Olaplex shampoo & conditioner. I have just stopped using it and clarified with Head and Shoulders and now using a Pantene range for fine & thinning hair so I hope my hair will indeed recover. Its early days yet ...
I have always had damaged hair and I started using olaplex and my hair has never looked so good before. Maybe it’s not for everyone 🤷🏻♀️ maybe some hairs just react bad to it because I’ve seen other girls use this brand and it’s been helping them out. Good luck ladies.
@Raquel. I agree with you. Worked well for me too. I used a protein mask whenever I used number 3 Olaplex. And a leave in conditioner: Pureology. I only used Olaplex number 3, not the entire range
@@christieel-nemr8515 i used olaplex for years and never had an issue. I absolutely believe these women when they say it ruined their hair but the product does work for some people.
My hair normally grows at the speed of light and ever since the "Plex" trend, where it's hard to find a product without a version of "Plex" in it. I'm looking like Cynthia from the rug rats. Mass produced, dermatologically approved drug store shampoos are going to save my hair from Plex plague
Girl, I thought I had dandruff and I was wondering why dandruff shampoos wasnt working. It wasn't dandruff it was build up. I started using a clarifying shampoo 2 times a week starting out and now 1 time a week . Now my scalp is super clean no issues.
I used to have really long hair to my waist and lots of it. I have bleached my hair for years and just used standard drug store shampoo and conditioner (pantene mostly). Went to a different hair dresser for a bleaching who used olaplex on my hair. Within 4 months half my hair was gone. I tried all sorts of masks, treatments, bonding this and that and nothing made any difference. 2 years on, still thin and shedding and damaged. Many people say these things are great and they love them, I tend to think they will not really see the damage until they stop using them completely. I will never put any bonding product on my hair ever again.
Olaplex broke my naturally fine hair as well. I started using it to try to strengthen my locks which are prone to breakage as a proactive preventative measure and boy did it do a number on my hair. Had to abandon it and resort to clarifying and even purchased a water filter for my shower to try to alleviate the damage. In fact because sooooo many people were raving about Olaplex I decided to give it another try because I thought it could not have been the Olaplex must have been something else I did. But second time and my hair became dry and brittle and started self trimming again I eventually had to trim off 4 inches to get to some semblance of healthy hair. I’m now on a recovery journey. ☹️
My hair just broke off almost to the root after using Olaplex 3 ! So frustrating and kind of embarrassing tbh. I’ve never had short hair and since it’s curly it’s really hard to style now. After this happened I had a few people tell me they have heard alot of people say this. It will be years before my hair gets back to normal length. This is unacceptable @Olaplex
Same. Ive never in my life had my hair break near the scalp, NEVER! I recently cut 12 inches off, that'll take years to grow back. Makes me sick! Good luck on your hair journey.
The breakage & hair loss from Olaplex is specifically from the very strong silicones in all of their products (w/ the exception of No. 0 & 1). How has no one figured this out?!?? It boggles my mind. I am a Black girl, with natural virgin 4c hair & use Olaplex and have been fine. Why? Because just like you said, and you were spot on- we have to CLARIFY. Detox even!! And no there’s no protein in it.. I think just like with Wen, DevaCurl, etc.. this is why ppl are losing hair & experiencing dryness, breakage, etc. If ppl are relying on Olaplex as their sole shampoo, conditioner, deep conditioner, etc, then they’re in trouble. So much more I can say from some ppl being allergic to the phenoxyethanol in it, to ppl buying fake Olaplex products that appear to be the real thing on Amazon (who is not a authorized retailer of it) to how No 3 is really the only product one needs (color-treated or not) to how you only should use No. 4 & 5 for if you plan on heat styling! Alas, I’ll save the rest for if someone has a question.. But feel free to copy & paste my reply on any forum, Tik Tok, etc.
@@yvonneshelton2505 Olaplex has a great clarifier, coincidentally No. 4c is the name of it 😂.. or if I run out of that, my tried & true is Kinky Curly Come Clean. If you need something even more powerful i.e. getting chlorine and other minerals out of your hair, Paul Mitchell Shampoo Three.
It doesn't matter what brand you use, if you over load with protein ( strengthening) you will get straw like brittle hair. You need to stop with the protien and moisturise!!!
@@evelynramirez162 if it has keratin then yes it's adding protien and you can easily over do it and make your hair brittle, just use them when you need it at a max of once a month.
Broke my hair in the same pattern, main reason I gave up the platinum color (natural brunette) at the same time. I know it was the Olaplex because I cut my hair, then followed the Olaplex instructions two days later and when I got out of the shower my freshly cut ends were shredded. I went back to Davines a little over a year ago and it's restored. Davines costs the same but actually works and doesn't have weird instructions. You shampoo/condition like normal, then leave a mask in for 10 minutes once a week before you rinse and condition. I comment so that others going through this can get a list of working products together to restore their hair.
Thanks for posting this because I thought it was me not doing it right or having enough of their products. So annoying! Thank you again for sharing and saving our monies!
I loved Olaplex for 2 years! I have Chemically treated hair so it was amazing for me. How lovely you have virgin hair. My hair lost its virginity when I was 14 lol
I used Olaplex No 3 and my hair looked great. Sooo, I purchased shampoo, conditioner, oil That was the biggest mistake!!! Three months later and I have lost 50% of my hair and it continues to break. My stylist asked if I was "sick" due to the loss of hair. Thankful my daughter found out about the Olaplex lawsuit and I've been searching TH-cam and joined Facebook Olaplex group. I just want my thick hair back. Having anxiety that the fallout and breakage will not stop. Thank you for your video.
This is my experience with Olaplex a few years ago. I have only ever used Olaplex 1 and 2. These are the most potent formulas of Olaplex. They saved my hair. I'll summarize my crazy situation: I had started with hair that had been previously highlighted. Then I bleached my entire head with 40 volume developer and high lift bleach. I didn't like it, so I dyed my hair brown. It was too dark so I bleach bathed it. Then I dyed it with high lift blonde dye. I did all of this within a couple of weeks. I did stand alone Olaplex treatments followed by deep conditioning treatments before and after each bleaching/dye, as well as putting Olaplex in each bleach/dye formula. My hair did not break, fall out, or have nearly the damage you would expect. My hair was a little dry, but nothing major even after all of that abuse. I don't know anything about the other Olaplex products, but I credit #1 and #2 for saving my hair.
Hi, hair stylist here! Olaplex is indeed for people with chemically treated hair. If your hair was healthy to begin with, it seems as though your hair was overprotenized. Olaplex also has an ingredient called dimethicone, which can build up on your hair shaft and suffocate it. Both of these cause breakage and dryness. I’m glad your new hair care routine is working to improve the quality of your hair!
Marissa, can I ask for your opinion? I have very fine straight hair. I've noticed it's getting thinner and my scalp is very oily. Like I wash my hair and the next day it's limp and starting to get oily. I've tried "training" my hair by washing it only twice a week, but it's not helping. Also I've noticed that my new growth (I'm growing out my highlights), has breakage. It looks frizzy. And that's new virgin hair. I don't use heat on it ever. Why is it doing that? I'm not using Olaplex either. Please help. Thank you.
@@calgirl80 Hi! Without seeing your hair myself, I can only give you my best educated guest. I would ask your stylist about doing a Malibu C Miracle Makeover treatment, which will gently remove any minerals or other impurities from your hair and deep condition it. That should be a good place to start with the oil issue. Make sure you’re not using conditioner or styling oils or serums on your roots. As for the hair loss, there are many reasons that can occur. Stress, certain medications, hormonal changes, aging, and Covid-19 infections are just a few factors. The new growth in your hair may appear like it’s breakage. If you’re referring to your virgin hair, there could be tension breakage if you wear your hair in ponytails or messy buns pulled tightly and secured with a hair elastic. Definitely talk to your stylist and they will be able to help you troubleshoot. Hope this helps!
@@indigodp7 I use the oil all the time. I’m also a person who bleaches their hair to drastically change my color. I bleach my hair more than I would ever recommend to my clients, so I need all the bond maintaining products I can get. I would suggest a leave-in conditioner for your dry ends. Biolage makes a great multi-tasking leave in treatment, and the It’s A 10 leave-in conditioning sprays are all fantastic! If it feels like a product isn’t working for you, try swapping it out for a different one. Hope this helps!
In the beginning, my hair looked and felt amazing. I was using Olaplex complete system 0 to 9 for 2 years every 6 to 8 weeks. Now my hair is extremely dry and full of tangles. I am going to buy Clairol box hair color just for the conditioner. The conditioner is amazing, I don't know why they don't sell it separately.
I have hair loss and breakage but cannot tell if it was from a covid (yes there is severe hair loss from this), keratin treatment, or hormones. My hair has been so dry and brittle. I just started my Olaplex treatment and trying to follow the process properly. So far my hair feels more hydrated, moisturized, and shiny. This video is scaring the hell out of me because I did not try Kerastases because reviewers were stating there was severe hair loss too. So who knows at this point.
Right? I've been using olaplex for 5 months and have had nothing but good experiences. I have natural hair (kinky/coily) so If I don't use hydrating things my hair will be brittle and dry. But no. 4&5 is so hydrating and makes my hair so soft and shiny. I've also noticed a decrease in how often I'm getting split ends and fairy knots
@LR. If it works for you, continue. I use no 3 only on my chemically damaged hair, thick hair but I use a protein, hydrated mask. Olaplex works for me. Used redken shampoo and conditioner every alternate week. Always use leave in conditioner. Olaplex works for some and not others, the same for K18. People with fine hair preferred K18, then again others with thick hair complained K18 did nothing.
Thank you so much for making this video! I experienced the same issues with Olaplex that you and so many others have had. My hair is graying, so I color it. I decided to try Olaplex because I wanted to take extra good care of my hair. I followed all of the directions to a tee. My hair felt great at first, but after a few months, it became very tangly, was breaking off like crazy, and felt like straw. I lost so much hair on the top front part of my head, I no longer have enough left to have bangs. I just recently read comments from many other people having the same sort of issues after using Olaplex. I immediately stopped using Olaplex products. Since then, I've washed my hair twice with an inexpensive shampoo and used an apple cider vinegar rinse (cheap clarifier!) both times. Although it's going to take a very long time for my hair to recover from Olaplex, it's already less tangly and feels a little bit less like straw. Definitely no more Olaplex!
Thank you for sharing this. I have natural hair and it's been shedding like crazy! I've been using Olaplex for 2 years now. My normally thick full healthy hair is weak and thining. I thought it was hormones, and have gone through so many tests! I've been using it for 2 years now. I'm just discovering that it all started around the time I started using Olaplex. My hair was so healthy! I am stopping immediately. Will it grow back?
My hair is down to my behind ( youtube politeness lol ) and any time I use any shampoo besides head and shoulders it wrecks my hair , I have looked into olaplex and others but just wasn't convinced 😅 so ty for such a great explication of your experience xx
Finally a video I can relate to! I have fine curly, colored hair, not too damaged, but in need of tlc. No.3 was incredible the first time I used it paired with the oil. Amazed by the results I immediately decided to get no. 6... Huge mistake! After incorporating it in my haircare routine, my hair kept getting progressively worse with each wash. I ended up with actual knots in my hair, to the extent I had to cut my shoulder length hair into a bob... My hair's never been so messy and knotted beyond repair. I still am trimming it every week since it now looks like straw with tons of flyaways. They say no. 7 will tame your hair, it makes mine even frizzier. With all that money I wasted on Olaplex products I could have treated myself to a big bottle of morrocanoil and a decent mask... Most people call it a miracle worker. Unfortunately it didn't work for me. The damage is irreparable, especially after using number 6, which turned my hair into a frizzy knotted mush. You live and learn...
I pre cleansed my hair then used Olaplex nr 3 vor 10 min. And then nr. 4 & nr. 5 When my hair was dry i was almoust crying!!!! My beautyful hair broke all off!! 😢😩 i have curls and know my hair sticks straid up around my hole head 😭 I used Olaplex nr 3 the last time for 3 jears know i wanted to use it again. I regret it sooo mutch! Bevor my hair was great & know i could cry every morning when i look in the miror.. Greetings from Austria 🙋🏻♀️ Thx for your Video! ❤
Olaplex almost ruined my hair also but once I realized what was happening I went back to the original shampoo and conditioner by Matrix that I've always used (my hair is color treated with bleach) and then I used K18 as the instructions say on the bottle. My hair is healthy & gorgeous again and I only use k18 once every month. I only wash my hair every 1 week to 2 weeks depending on my scalp condition(oily, build up, etc). I do not EVER use heat on my hair. I sleep with a sill cap and silk pillow case. I also take vitamins daily, multiple different supplements - collagen, hair, skin&nails, multivitamin, vitamin D, calcium, magnesium, etc. And so far so good.
Just a heads up my hair felt great while I was using K18 but as soon as I stopped it was worse than ever before. All of these products that claim to be bond repairing really only temporarily build/seal the hair (think glue) and when you stop reinforcing that bound togetherness with continued use they come apart again. If the hair is not strong enough to handle the coming apart bit which most hair isn't the result is major breakage and hair loss. I have read many reports of people who have been through this scenario with many different bonding products.
Thank you for this. I have been finding the same problems. I have also had so much added hair fall. I've stopped using it and I could really use some advice and help. I didn't have chemically treated hair. I also followed all of the instructions.
It completely destroyed my beautiful long hair. It’s become so knotty and wirey that i had to cut it very short :/. Only used TWICE with lots of follow up moisture.
I have use olaplex and it worked for me. I treat my hair chemically to be straight and got it really damaged, to the point it broke just by clmbing it and had no plasticity and olaplex managed to fix that like in 2 months. But what work for me might not work for everyone. Also with hair treatments (especially alopesia treatments) sometimes you experience a little more fall out at the beginning, is the way the product prepare your head to make stronger hair.
Can I ask how your hair is going and is the damage reversing? I have been wondering why my hair is so short in places and why it’s so brittle and now I have an answer. Would love your updates on this.
I also had issues right at 6 month mark. I started with hair mask for few months then added the whole line other than bonding oil. I have lost so much hair that I am down to about 33 percent and seeing scalp. I use to use purador and aveda no issues. Hopefully can turn it around. I didnt know about this being a issue until i bought a bottle smelled like wet basememt and did google search.
Once a week wash can contribute to the dandruff. It’s yeast that feeds on oil. Agree with the over protein as well, you have to moisturize your hair and use protein occasionally. Try just washing your scalp every other day with a normal shampoo and conditioner and once a week use the dandruff shampoo and the protein once every two weeks.
I have used Monistat on my scalp, I don’t have dandruff, but it gets dry and itchy. It is great for dandruff, and I cured my father’s dandruff of 50 years with Listerine
Can anyone let me know if your hair grew back normally? What products are y’all using? I’m so sorry we’re on the same boat… this is horrible. I literally threw my olaplex out yesterday. I don’t ever want to use their products again
I used Olaplex 3 in 2020, it was fantastic. However I used it again January 2023, and in weeks my hair breaking off, dry, brittle and dull, it's all shedding like mad.
I'm a long time user of Olaplex. I initially loved it until I started getting rashes on my eyelids, around my hairline and neck. Rashes that look like burns. Then came the breakage, dryness and hair loss. Olaplex needs to be help accountable. This isn't a handful of people. Something is very wrong with these products.
Oh no, I just purchased a ton of Olaplex products from their cyber Monday sale. I bought 0,3,4,5,8 and the oil. Luckily they are super small sizes. I have extremely dry damaged bleached blond hair. I hope it won’t totally destroy it. 😢
I don't use price as an indicator of quality. I do however try to stay away from silicones as I know my hair doesn't really like them. I don't use really harsh shampoos with SLS or clarifying shampoos either as they really dry my hair out.
I also had a problem with Olaplex, but the kerastase products she recommends in the video had destroyed my hair worse than olaplex several years ago. They are very strong, high protein and high sulfates
I had great healthy perfect virgin hair I used the bond builder two times, a week a part. I only wash my hair once a week I followed instructions and my hair started breaking and falling out. It destroyed my hair. My hair is all different lengths now.
Ola Plex. Where do I Begin? I like you started using it I never had damaged hair, but I did get it colored just dark I went. It’s kind of my natural color and I like you just wanted to use a really good brand of shampoo and conditioner I started out with a Conditioner loved it moved to the shampoo. Oh my goodness my hair felt amazing at first and then boom and then of course couldn’t understand why I was having breakage so then I added the number nine which is supposed to be heat protectant and boy did that do some damage so then I thought OK I’ll add the oil thinking that it was I had no idea not a not a hair person just trying to take care of my my gorgeous hair that I had. I did that oil in and boom. That’s when my hair went down the drain extreme dryness like so dry brittle change the texture of my hair. Basically it ruined the structure of my hairs what it did breaking splitting just a complete nightmare. I’m still trying to figure out what works and what doesn’t honestly . And I was never told you were only supposed to use it if you had damaged hair my hair was never damaged. I was always told how gorgeous it lol and my bottle for direction says use every time you shampoo or after you rinse with all the Plex, number three follow up with Ola Plex, number five, Bon maintenance conditioner, so as far as I’m concerned, the directions on the bottle are fraudulent and that’s how I feel. My stylist never said only use this once a week or once every other week or anything like that so I feel that this is no fault on me. I feel it’s all the Plex his fault I do not feel that they give clear instructions. I do not feel that the stylists are being trained and how to use Ola Plex properly for the most part they’re getting incentives for selling it and using it which OK we all want to make money I got it but their product needs clear and accurate instructions and stylist needs to be trained and who and who not to sell it to that’s my personal opinion on how I feel about Ola Plex there’s an entire group on Facebook that’s growing over 7000 women that are experiencing the same horrific ordeal as you and myself I’m actually part of that group it’s nothing less than devastating, which takes a toll on you mentally physically and emotionally because we like to go out and look nice and feel good about our self and Ola Plex has taken that away and let me also add expense that we have to sit here and incurred, trying to figure out how to fix our damaged hair from their product again they need to be held accountable
I used olaplex for 6 months. I have chemically treated hair. I thought it was great at first. But then I noticed my hair feeling thinner. I went to my hair stylist and she agreed that it was about half the thickness as it usually is, and that there is a ton of breakage. I am sooooo upset and continuing to look for ways to repair the damage. I used it correctly, followed all the directions, and it absolutely ruined my hair. It’s going to take years to get back to the length and health that it was.
Omg!!! While using the purple shampoo, I noticed SO MUCH HAIR FALLOUT! I thought I was crazy bc everyone typically raves about their products. I do absolutely love their oil… but omg the purple shampoo and one of their leave in products that my hair dresser swears by totally breaks off my hair. So confusing
I have been lightening my hair to blonde for 29 years. I have never had an issue with my hair thinning out and breaking at the crown until my hair dresser recommended Olaplex. I kept using it because I thought it might be something else causing it, couldn't be the Olaplex that everyone is raving about. I don't use heat, I don't brush my hair wet, I use all silk pillowcases, even put one on the headrest in my car. Put a shower filter on in the shower. Tested my thyroid. Take hair vitamins. It just kept breaking off. Stopped using it and my hair is starting to feel so much softer now and doesn't seem to be breaking off anymore.
I use a Clarifying shampoo because like you I don't wash my hair daily. And it just cleans my scalp really well. I've used Not Your Mother's but that one is stripping. Right now I'm using one from Revolution, yes the makeup line! And I really like it.
Omg I'm amazed to see how many people in the comments section say the same thing, that after using olaplex their hair fell out. Why companies do this? Why on earth they don't care? I have been using no 3 on and off and I'm done paying so much money for crap! Thanks for sharing
Ive used the shampoo and conditioner for years. I never bought the number three, I did buy the number 7 oil but didn't really care for it. The last year I have had extreme hair loss and saw a dermatologist for it. Theres something different in the last year. When I take a break from olaplaex the hair loss stops, when I use it again it takes about a week and the hair loss starts again. Took me awhile to figure out what was causing it. My hair dresser said she has been phasing it out as it no longer seems consistent.
I'd like to also add, I have bleached hair, it didn't damage my hair but it didn't do more for my hair then biology and pureology have, my go to are those brands, but recently I have been using the new redken acdic bonding shampoo and conditioner and I'm in LOVE!!
Our No. 1 priority is to develop and formulate scientifically proven products for the health and the well-being of our customers. OLAPLEX products have been tested by independent third parties in accordance with industry standard dermatological studies. That testing confirmed that OLAPLEX products, when used as directed, do not lead to any reactions or sensitivities associated with hair loss or breakage.
@@SaraLoves88 It's a bot
So true even my hair stylist said that they're not good for us... kevin murphy she recommends.. around the same price too and it works wonders on chemical treated hair ♥️
My hair was DESTROYED by Olaplex. Thank you for raising awareness
Mine to
It literally saved my hair
@@0_Katt_0 Umm, good for you, I guess? But I and a lot of other people didn’t have that experience. What’s the point of your comment ? People have different experiences.
Wrecked mine 2 years worth of damage
I agree. Olaplex destroys the hair
IM SORRY TOO....THIS HAS BEEN A NIGHTMARE FOR ME
Did you experience hair shedding or mainly breakage? I’m experiencing shedding, I’ve only used it 5 times and was wondering if it does this
@@ritatherese3489 . Stop using please
This company should be shut down!
same thing. My hair is so thin now :(
I have blonde highlights, bleached hair basically, and I have noticed that every time I use the Olaplex 3 my hair gets so dry and damaged. And it takes so long for my hair to recover. I have decided I am not using it anymore. I thought I was the only person experiencing this. I’m glad someone is honest and brave enough to say the truth. That’s why I love your Chanel.
I have to say that the only product that has worked for me from this line is the number 6, the leaving conditioner.
olaplex 3 z bad
You need protein honey
Purology(Blue), Kerastase and Oribe have worked wonders, it makes my hair less freezing and I saw the improvement in my hair very fast.
I have bleached colored hair and my hair ends become very dry and brittle whenever I use olaplex no 3 and no 8
Great video.
Me too honey. Same exact story
I've gone back to redken extreme length with biotin and their clarifying shampoo x1 a week. Working wonders.
im so sorry! I just used it, (0,3,4,5,8) and found my hair to be like STRAW and I'm now freaking out. can I ask how long you used it for before it started breaking? Is mine permanently ruined after using it once do you think? Horrible situation
When I put #6 it feels so nice then I dry it and it looks dull but soft… few weeks now it looks frizzy, breaking, and its dry 😢
Same, I have to wear hair toppers 😢
Me too
Did your hair become better now ?
It was proven like months ago that the claims were false.
The claims are not false and the lawsuit is ongoing. I would never shit on a product that actually works. But I’m devastated at the damage that the product has caused my hair. I’m heartbroken. I threw my Olaplex bottles all in the trash.
Roxyc, you said when you find something stick with it. That's what she did for months, it worked. Then suddenly it caused damage. How could she know?
Olaplex made a bunch of my hair fall out. There’s a lawsuit against Olaplex in Canada right now. This stuff should NOT be in stores.
i had a major loss of my hair after using N-06; the first application; only 01 and i am still suffering major loss, in couple of days i lost a lotttttttt combing my hair is a nightmare as it falls down; at the beginning i even though i may have some disease :( until i realized what i have changed in my routines . lesson learned i paid lot for something that is not working, i should have stuck to my head and shoulders, i had the best silky hair now the middle is just brittle and i don't feel i have hair anymore.
Yes I am looking for videos because I know I couldnt be the only one with ramdom hair loss!
The lawsuit had nothing to do with hair breakage. It was an ingredient that was apparently used in trace amounts for fragrance but was phased out because in larger amounts could harm reproductive health
Same here. My hair is dry and breaking like there's no tomorrow
I have blonde highlights & Olaplex has been great for my hair. You’re so right, everything doesn’t work for everyone!
😢I'm just grateful for you all. I had no idea I wasn't alone ❤
I stopped immediately and have purchased kerastase in hopes that I can get my healthy, long hair back🤞
Did kerastase work for you? I have the same problem and it's so frustrating. Just don't know what to do to get my healthy hair back. 😢
Wish you a lovely day ☀️
I thought I was the only one! Thank you for posting this. Olaplex wreaked havoc on my blond hair.
Oh, also got a neat little reaction of burning & itching on my scalp.
How did you use it?
I'm so sorry. But also relieved we are not alone. It s been terrible for me. Olaplex be gone
Thank you
Olaplex also ruined my hair!
I'm sorry 😢. Me too
I have NEVER experienced this much damage…. Thank you for making this video. I’ve only
gotten it done in the salon, it’s the product.
I used olaplex line for 3 months, I ended up with extreme breakage and hair fall 😣
SAME! I used one product 3x and have extreme damage.
Me TOOOO
Have you noticed any improvement yet? What kind of collagen treatment are you doing?
I'm sorry. I know this night mare well❤
I have chemically treated hair and used no. 3 and my hair felt like wire! I was so confused. Never had a product make my hair feel so bad.
I thought she used the moisturizing olaplex? She bought them all.
I’m a natural redhead and I used that line. Not only did it break my hair but it made my hair FALL OUT!! Like bald spots!! Horrible
Same thing happened to me, it's horrible!!
I'm experiencing the same thing...
Absolutely do not try it. It destroyed my hair. It is not worth the risk.
It takes awhile then boom your hair will be destroyed too!
Same here, Olaplex 3, 8 & 7 oil saved my hair. Love it. And my hair have gotten more volume. I think some people don't use it right or over use it...
Yeah it’s worked so well for me too but I’m scared because so many people are having bad reactions to it.
Good luck on your hair journey.
. Me too
@@wildvines8417same happened to me my hair is ruined it's so frustrating i feel your pain haha
I used the number cero and it let me almost bald I don’t think 🤔 is only the silicones 🤔🤔🤔 never understood how olaplex get away with so much
@@suzzy9993 So you only used the No. 0? Or did you use it in combination with No. 3?
What do you clarify with. 4 c sound sister here
@@yvonneshelton2505 Olaplex has a great clarifier, coincidentally No. 4c is the name of it 😂.. or if I run out of that, my tried & true is Kinky Curly Come Clean. If you need something even more powerful i.e. getting chlorine and other minerals out of your hair, Paul Mitchell Shampoo Three.
Mannnnn, that’s exactly me. Use the shampoo and conditioner for about a year as my soul hair products. Shed sooooo much.
Just wanted to say that I’m loving your recent videos after “the big change “ lol you’re lovely to listen to and watch so keep it up!!👍
It doesn't matter what brand you use, if you over load with protein ( strengthening) you will get straw like brittle hair. You need to stop with the protien and moisturise!!!
What do you mean by protein? Do you mean like detangling sprays or 2 phase conditioners made of keratin?
@@evelynramirez162 any products that have protein
@@evelynramirez162 if it has keratin then yes it's adding protien and you can easily over do it and make your hair brittle, just use them when you need it at a max of once a month.
Olaplex doesn’t have protein. It’s a bond builder. It specifically says on their website it can’t damage anyone’s hair.
@@virginiatierney5714what about leave in conditioner that has keratin? I use it every time I get out of the shower
Also btw the only way I got my breakage out was cutting it off...hopefully that will help start over
Thank you for your info
I also used their 4c clarifying shampoo which just made things worse
My hair never felt so bad 😭
I loved Olaplex for 2 years! I have Chemically treated hair so it was amazing for me. How lovely you have virgin hair. My hair lost its virginity when I was 14 lol
Same thing happened with my hair after using Olaplex. Lots of breakage and dryness. It's not for everyone that's for sure!
I used Olaplex as a post chemical treatment, only twice a year for two years so far, and I haven't experienced any hair damage or hair breakage.
Oh I didn't know. But I been using the bonding oil and I noticed my hair was rough. Have you try the oil?
Hope this helps!
nope - it ruins your hair anyway. i'm one of them.
I have the Olaplex styling products but not the shampoo or conditioner. I dye my hair every 6 weeks! So it's damaged 🙂 I've never had a problem yet? 😁
My hair was ALSO destroyed by olaplex! And I’ve been trying to figure out what happened! Thank you so much!
Thank you for sharing what is your curl pattern?
I pre cleansed my hair then used Olaplex nr 3 vor 10 min. And then nr. 4 & nr. 5
When my hair was dry i was almoust crying!!!! My beautyful hair broke all off!! 😢😩 i have curls and know my hair sticks straid up around my hole head 😭
I used Olaplex nr 3 the last time for 3 jears know i wanted to use it again.
What is K18
@@justanotheryoutuberhello another product that claims to repair hair bonds
@natmya243 so nothing truly works then right? What you say makes sense unfortunately 😕.
Thank you for this. I have been finding the same problems. I have also had so much added hair fall. I've stopped using it and I could really use some advice and help. I didn't have chemically treated hair. I also followed all of the instructions.
So happy to hear that I'm not the only one 😢 all of the hair stylist I told looked at me as if I was lying
OMG my hair was destroyed by Olaplex, I had to go to the doctor to see what the fuck was happening! I tell all my friends to not use this shit
Can I ask how your hair is going and is the damage reversing? I have been wondering why my hair is so short in places and why it’s so brittle and now I have an answer. Would love your updates on this.
The Kérastase is literally bringing my hair back to life!! I’m so grateful I found it
Ok that’a a relief! I’m binning my Olaplex! Thank you.
I Olaplex destroyed my hair as well eight months out and I’m still trying to fix it. Absolutely devastating
I've almost used the whole bottle of number 3 and my hair is getting gummier
Throwing out tonight 😢
Thank you very much for your honest review, you saved me ! This video was very helpful!
I don't use price as an indicator of quality. I do however try to stay away from silicones as I know my hair doesn't really like them. I don't use really harsh shampoos with SLS or clarifying shampoos either as they really dry my hair out.
My hair became brittle and broke off. I'm devastated.
I also had a problem with Olaplex, but the kerastase products she recommends in the video had destroyed my hair worse than olaplex several years ago. They are very strong, high protein and high sulfates
you're so passionate, it was a pleasure to watch you. thank you for the story and advice!
But your hair looks fine, like I can’t see the damage you’re talking about.
I had great healthy perfect virgin hair I used the bond builder two times, a week a part. I only wash my hair once a week I followed instructions and my hair started breaking and falling out. It destroyed my hair. My hair is all different lengths now.
This product wrecked my thick dark hair as well - horrible!
In between you use the clarify use a second shampoo also before conditioner,it really helps to smooth/hydrate xxx❤
Same here! My daughter says that I look like I have a wolf cut now lol. It's so depressing.
I've always thought they were over rated as well, it did nothing for my hair
I'd like to also add, I have bleached hair, it didn't damage my hair but it didn't do more for my hair then biology and pureology have, my go to are those brands, but recently I have been using the new redken acdic bonding shampoo and conditioner and I'm in LOVE!!
