This is by far the best video i’ve ever seen when it comes to parts installations, clear view, clean parts, extremely informative in a nice and slow way BIG thumbs up
Hi. Complimenti per il video ! È l unico che spiega come posizionare le ganasce le molle ed il senso delle parti . Ottimo ! Tolto il disco in 1 minuto si montano e registrano .
@@vysgarage HI I have a 2006 z4 m with 38,000 miles, the parking brake on the passenger side of a left side drive car sticks a bit after being on a hill. Is the parking brake on both rear wheels or just one? Should I just order a new e brake set before I disassemble it to save time, or should I see if it just needs grease?
Bro! You are a lifesaver! It's now 12:42 am I've been struggling with these shoes for so many hours I've finally got them in thanks to your video! Subbed
With the replacement adjuster, they provide a small silver packet of grease, I presume you use half per adjuster? before putting this together? I have to replace mine as I don't believe it was ever done in 220k miles.
Hi, in my case it appears the backplate on which the springs latch is the faulty part (the springs won't latch because the holes are stripped). Are you aware of any video that shows the process?
Don't know how old this beemer is or what model but the actuator on the E46 models doesn't look like that. It doesn't have have the closed cable hitch and the cable has a talurit not and eye and pin. Apart from that the rest is ok.
@@flatout3577 You need to have the hand brake off and back the adjustment nuts off on the cables at the lever end as far as you can without them coming off. That should give you about 2 inches more length at the actuator end. When you have reassembled the brake assembly you need to adjust your cables at the lever end.
@@veritasaequitas9875hello. Could you please give me more details on last step cable adjustment , done the rest but now my handbrake seems to not react at all . Do I need to remove whole middle console for access?

Best tutorial on this subject on TH-cam. The spares/parts are clean, good photography and clear voice instructions. Keep them coming.

@@chameleon341 thank you
Excellent tutorial. Especially like the use of the pink fabric that allows the parts to pop out. Thanks so much!
Clear and objective explanation. Helps a lot anyone who needs to work on the hand brake mechanism, especially if it's for the first time.
This video was a God sent. Thank you for the information, and the clarity in which you presented it.
Well done and brief. No unnecessary noise to detract from the signal. Excellent job.

Simple and to the point Thank you and good work.
Thank you this seems impossible to mess up if you watch this video but if you don’t it is impossible I know from first hand experience
Fantastic video! Very well presented, many thanks.

so how do you adjust that adjuster when the rotor is on??
Through the wheel bold hole.
Great video sir. Great commentary and angles.
Would the 18mm shoes fit if stock was 16mm and I have rotors with a bigger internal diameter? Desperate!
Hi,
No they won’t.
I make rotor inserts to convert the rotors.
@@vysgarage so with inserts I could keep the rotors and use 16mm shoes? If that's something you sell I'll give you a call today 👍🏻

Ideally, yes. But you can also make a little washer with a slotted hole in it as a temporary measure.
