I deleted my last post because I finally got my Fantasy3 working... My question is whats the best wall color behind the tv to get the best overall effect? Or what colors should i avoid?
I’m assuming the govee t2 is the best option for people that use streaming apps that are built into their TV. These boxes don’t work with those right? I think the new lytmi outperforms govee but that’s a huge downside
Totally appreciate the honesty but, Wow.... Im sad that you had this experience!! Almost none of this happened to me. The only things that have happened to me is 1)the color issue with HDR. However, I found a small workaround for that. But, it requires you to have a previous version of the tv lights. Just plug the HDMI from the fantasy3 into the input on the previous box and the colors correct themselves. I was having the same issue and it was driving me up a wall!! I had to figure something out... Lol. My only issue now is that i still get a very light blue for dark scenes or dark sections of a scene. But thats minor in comparison to the colors being completely off. I hope this helps someone thinking about getting this. 2) The other thing is that it takes a second for the firestick (which is in the HDMI slot) to pop up. But thats because the firestick goes into a sleep mode. All I have to do is hit the home button on the remote a few times and it switches back from either my Series X or the Ps5 to my HDMI1 (Firestick). But it does automatically switch back As far as the CEC, I can turn the box (TV lights) , my TV, & the surround sound on and off with my firestick remote as well as control the volume, just fine. There's a sync tv option in the app. I turned that on, as well as the cec on my tv, firestick, and surround sound and everything comes on and goes off with the press of a button. Try it out. Hope this helps with your sync issues if you're still using it. As far as the sound, I havent had that issue to try to troubleshoot it.
As a tech savvy dude, I got burned by the marketing/my ignorance on this. This probably gonna sound stupid but I thought the hype was that it didnt need through put to work. Having to hook up an external Google TV to my Sony X900E that already ready has it was a bummer.
I have the same TV / PS5 setup and can't get video to display from my PS5. When I plug the HDMI in, I see PS5 video for a second, before the TV "optimizes" things and goes black. Am I missing any obvious settings here?
I'm planning to get either the Ai sync box or T2 for my 65 inch Samsung S90C tv that is connected to Samsung q600 soundbar. My usecase is for watching TH-cam content and movies on various streaming services like Netflix, prime etc. Which one should I go for?
Is it only me that this shocks? in HDR red is orange, yellow is fluorescent, white in the dark is blue... for my part I find that HDR is bad in color management.... personally I made an Amazon return I don't don't pay to have saturated or truncated colors.
Thank you for this review. I had a diy Hyperion Ambilight for years. Now I’m watching on 100“ projector and looking for a out of the box setup. Since two years I‘m waiting for Lytmi getting their nice setup working fine. But they don’t get it to a good out of the box experience.
Hey I hope u can answer my question. So I know the box don't have cec, but. What if I go with hdmi from hdmi out ( av receiver) in hdmi sync box IN and then output from sync box to tv.? So the Idea is, sources I switch on Av Receiver (not the app) and out it from av receiver in the sync box and then in the TV. I used it this way with the old dreamscreen ambilight and it works.. Till 120hz and vrr and vlls and cec :) But my hope is the hdmi ports are just pass-throughing the signal so cec comes from tv and just pass-through the box and turns on av receiver. What do u think could that work in any ways?
To be honest, I think that's the only way that things can work 100%. Even then, I don't think the CEC, VRR, or anything else that I would want as a gamer would work properly if at all. I got it to work with my Yamaha AV Receiver. I wouldn't recommend this as a standalone unit. Like I said in the video, if it's one cable that you're dealing with, then I can see the use cases for it. If you're using it as an HDMI switcher, then stay away. The headache isn't worth it, IMO.
@@baldlyrudy hey thx for that response. I hope there will be something in the future which will fix that problem. We need low input delay and at least hdmi 2.1 with 120hz, vrr and cec. For me there is no reason to build something like the lytmi and then don't integrate such important features. Or they just should integrate a path through option and let the end units controll the rest. It's also much easier for the software.
are you still using it ? still facing those issues ? i'm considering buying one of those, and you're the first i see facing those problems so i've been wondering if you had a defective product or if the whole production is just no good.
Yes. I'm still using it. Yes I'm still facing issues. Whenever I play with my PS5, I get screen tearing and the feed just dies, but the audio continues. It's the weirdest thing. When it works, it's great! But it only works about 70-80% is the time. It could be a defective product. At the same time, I had a video call with their support team to get things fixed and I mentioned my problems to see if they should fix it, and they didn't. It delayed the video by a few weeks. Take it as you will.
@@baldlyrudy I'm wondering have you tried to replace the HDMI cable? I had a similar issue with Apple TV + native Apple TV cable(!!) + new Samsung TV, it was the same, feed dies. Fixed with a new super-mega-8k-cable. P.S. I do not own Lytme yet, only thinking if I should get it.
Hi Rudy, Thank you for the video. When you installed the Lytmi LED strip on your LG TV, since it is a flush mount look did the bottom strip behind the TV touch the wall? Do you have a picture of your set up from the back of the TV?
Hey there! You're welcome. The bottom of the TV didn't touch the wall, but it did get close and hangs at a slight angle. It didn't impact the bias lighting too much. I don't have a photo of the back side. I just installed it while the television was still mounted, but pulled forward.
I bought this piece of crap and connected it to my xbox and my tv via hdmi cables. Both devices are connected through 4k 60hz hdmi ports. Yet the lights dont work with the tv. they only work when i use it with my xbox.

@Jayjostudios thanks for the sub. I'm not familiar with any of the other Lytmi products, but if they're like the Fantasy Sync boxes, then I doubt it. The tech is passthrough, so you can hook up a Chromecast or Apple TV and cast from your phone to the connected device. But it'll still have to go through the Lytmi Sync Box.
