    14:43 definitely works, but only on PVC plastic. The semi soft stuff used on old dirt bikes and quads. HOWEVER…. There’s a better process. Use the finest grit sand paper you can find, polish off the oxidation, and use a heat gun, which has significantly more control.

Problem is the same key switch also goes all the way to ignition OFF. I was nervous the first time and gave it a little too much oomph and went right past R and L and straight to OFF. I immediately realized I screwed up and flipped it back to one of the running states and it backfired something fierce. Shook the whole plane.

    To get a new 1qt bottle of oil pour started… pour it sideways (front label facing towards the fill hole). This will allow 2 things: 1. The spout can get a lot closer to the hole before the oil comes out. & 2. You’ll get a nice even pour with a steady air flow (no air gulping).

    The antilag hack is known as “keybang”, they work on older “carburetor” cars since there is no ECU to control the fuel going through the engine when you shut it off, and basically the engine is still kinda running when the switch is OFF but the fuel isn’t ignited, goes into your tail pipe, and when you switch back ON, BOOM! EFI cars basically shuts the fuel pump (when you turn the car off) so there is no Bang….

    • @persil98

      I thought the same but it doesn't have to necessarily be carbed

    • @roshailsmedia2067
      @roshailsmedia2067 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@persil98 I cant say tho, cuz the ECU of stock EFI vehicles tend to cut off the fuel when ignition is turned off. Now an standalone ecu could let this happen, cuz thats where 2 step comes into play, 2 step and antilag basically limits your RPMs by cutting the ignition, and let the fuel go into tailpipe without igniting it, so the force induction systems can be fully spooled (in case of turbos) at a limited Rpm, and eventually you’ll get bangs cuz that fuel is ignited! Peace ✌️

      It’s also used on plastic stadium seats, but the key there is also a much slower billowing flame. You don’t want a ton of heat blowing too quickly at it, you just need the heat to barely lick the surface so it melts and refreezes the plastic quickly, which will refinish the surface since the grime and oxidation will burn right off as it happens

    Regarding the Anti-Lag hack, this generally only works on cars with a Carburetor as opposed to EFI. As with a Carby, the fuel / air is mixed by purely mechanical actuation and passive fluid dynamics, which continues even once the spark plug is disconnected. The combustible mixture will be passed out the exhaust valve and start to fill the tailpipe. The longer you have it 'off' for, or more you pump the gas, the bigger bang you get!
    This works extremely well on older cars, and in most cases if you overdo it, you will blow a hole in the muffler (permanently giving you that sweet aftermarket exhaust sound). In reality it sounds more like a backfire than an Anti-Lag system. It can be great fun if have a car you don't care about, and want to scare the crap out of anyone nearby!

  • @TestECull
    @TestECull 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    11:48 fun fact if you do this with a carburetted vehicle while it's in motion you can literally detonate the muffler and cat. Raw unburned fuel/air charge will build up in these areas and when the engine fires back up again the resulting pops and bangs will be quite a bit bigger than expected. This happens because carburetted vehicles rely on physics rather than electronics to fuel themselves; any time the engine is rotating it is pulling fuel in and if it's not burning it that fuel gets pumped right back out again.

      Yeah I don't think it works vehicles with electronic fuel injection. To work it requires fuel to be flowing to the cylinders while the ignition is is off - so carbs and maybe mechanical fuel injection.

    I think instead of the blowtorch a heat gun would be a better option for the black trim. Less likely to set your car on fire and I think it would be a little more forgiving.

    For the popping car hack, we do something similar in "piston popper" airplanes to check and see if the magnetos ground properly. We start with both mags ungrounded(active) and QUICKLY turn the key to the off position, then back on. If a person waits too long, fuel can build up and the engine will "backfire." Kinda looks like the guy in the hack is doing something similar and forcing fuel into the engine, then when the car's sparkplugs fire, kinda causes a backfire type deal.

    6:03 Or! Hear me out here, you could realize that there is a reason that the opening to every oil bottle you've ever seen is on one side and not in the center. It's so that you can tip it, with the opening up top, and not spill oil everywhere. Literally every person I've ever seen put oil in their car, outside of people I've worked with in shops, does it wrong, and spills oil because of it.

    14:49 the do this to the plastic seats in stadiums etc too. the plastic basically starts cracking on the surface due to sun light and this basically "melts" the top layer of the plastic "repairing" the plastic
