Weekly Episodes right here on TH-cam, as well as the shop with new & used performance parts for most Japanese makes and models.
Benny makes this stuff look like a walk in the park. Please consider the risk factors and talk to a qualified mechanic, as well as a psychologist, if you’re thinking of attempting anything you’ve seen on the show.
Take into consideration your safety, the safety of others, as well as your vehicle’s best interests- warranty, etc.
Unless you’re trained & qualified to do so, we don’t recommend modifying your vehicle in any way. Stickers don’t add HP unless installed correctly.
Explanation for the numbers on the bolts:
Yes, they define the grade and they provide actual data.
The first number multiplied by 100N/mm² gives you the tensile strength (Zugfestigkeit).
Both numbers multiplied by each other and by 10N/mm² gives you the yield limit (Streckgrenze).
So for 8.8 it is 8x100N/mm² = 800N/mm² tensile strength and 8x8x10N/mm² = 640N/mm² yield limit.
And for anyone wondering about the measurement units N/mm² = MPa (Mega Pascals), which is how steel strength is usually quoted (which is a unit of pressure).
For nuts they drop the decimal and the second number, so standard nuts are Grade 5, and high tensile are Grade 8, Grade 10, Grade 12.
For both bolts and nuts they use 'Class' instead of 'Grade' for European standards eg DIN.
On the note of the car stockpile glut, here is what I know from industry exposure. Originally, when COVID hit the chip manufactures made the wrong decision to slow/stop manufactuing. This, and the Evergiven/Suez canal incident caused massive delays for manufacturing. In 2022, a manufacturing company that used chips forcast an 18 month lag to return to normal production (March 2024). Early 2024, Vehicle Stock levels reaching Port Kembla where bordering on more than the facilities could hold. (As an aside, most new vehicles land in PK first before going to Melbourne). Overseas, vehicles were being produced and stored in parking lots and extra fields (2019 - 2024). They waited for chips and completion. These events have been what's caused the massive price rises in second hand cars up until March 2024 where things were said to return to normal. The forecast seems to be correct as the entire economy of the world seems to be following that forecasted pattern.
pumped for this series
Thanks for finally releasing info about raceworks seats. Do they suit fat bois?😅
I’m not small by any means
@BennysCustomWorks so you bought medium sized RW seats for the falc?
Yes blinkers
I don’t recomend putting the harness’s on the rear parcel shelf.. if you have a big enough hit the parcel can fold and crush you in your seat.
2.2 Ohm resistors on the airbag and seat pretensioner wires should cancel the Airbag warning light.
Oh no, scratched the seat bracket! 1 second later, it’s on the linisher ripping the paint off 😂
Suede glove trim on a suede steering wheel gives better grip than sweaty hands on plastic
Plop plop, I’m shitting to this 🎉
Another Great Episode. The idea of listing Full Retail Prices of Parts used in the car and where to buy them is a good idea. Thanks
On tossing the airbag in the trash (bin), here in the U. S. we're not supposed to just throw them out because they contain explosives. We are supposed to set them off (deploy them) before tossing them. The last shop I worked at we would save them and set them off once a month. Great fun!

Tesla dont make money 9n the cars but on the green kick back from other car manufacturers so thie may explain thjngs
Reference the 70’s movie “The big steal” for keeping the plastic-wrap on the doors etc because - resale value, and uncomfortable use during the life of the car. It’s a beauty.
Dead pan ...humor is Real
Every square is a rectangle, but not all rectangles are squares.
32:32 .. that's got to be ' in the bin ' .. lol
column would have been out for the ignition switch fault more then likely. stupidest issue these things have
Hey Benny I was told by a (MSA) scrutineer that I can't use the seat mount bolt holes to also mount the harness eyelets. Have the same OE seat rail setup in my AU XR8. So I have to have separate holes/reinforcement plates/eyelets for the crutch straps. Cheers.
Possibly, there wasn’t much option in the floor under the seat tbh.
horse blinkers or blinders, yeah
good chat
2 ohm resistor for no airbag light
or can raid factory ones from the passenger side of most b series utes
Not like it needs airbags anyway
Cracker video mate!
That's not a Burn! /Crocodile Dundee voice
I burnt my finger so bad it is split open on the end like an overcooked hotdog fresh off the grill.
Weld Life
I want to put recaros in my ef, but the stock rails are very high (my head touches the roof without a helmet) and no one makes rails for them
Get the grinder out :D
Thanks for the video.
You need to keep the hood and roof black.
Its not until you have a close call with fire then you will think gloves are necessary...
Missed the roof price lol
That 7/16ths bolt randomly in the seats is a bit like the single random imperial fitting in a K24- do all manufacturers do it?
Like the blue/black combo. Just paint the roof, bonnet and bootlid the same black
Cant wait to see ya revenge bash gians doors in full slapstick comedy styles 🤣
You'll want to wear gloves with that wheel. Hand oils and stuff will nasty it up pretty fast.
I tried looking on raceworks site for the seats and they aren’t listed. Where can you get them from
Small hands are really useful for working on cars.
Ill have a turn 😉 You can give me drift lessions lol
Do the seats come with the side mount rails? I want some for my ute
@8:01 , is it made in China?
I’ll check and come back to you
Love your work as always Benny! Keep up the great work!
I dunno how the track tech inspection there takes to doorbarless cages, but it'd be better than having your head as the crumple zone in a rollover in any case.
If we put a cage in it’ll only be a half cage, this won’t really be a high speed car
A Tesla is an overglorified Power Wheels car.
That Ford FALCOON it will be amazing Well Done Fixing it up Benny 👏👏👏👏👏
