It's so cute how he looks so dapper with his bowtie and how he clapped when he safely landed Baby's First Rocket (Mark 1 command pod, parachute, "Flea" solid fuel rocket and 4 fins).

Well i mean the pilot is pretty much playing pretend, where the computer is giving the illusion that the pilot is flying it but its actually just all the computer doing it

Landing on the Mun for the first time is one of the most satisfying moments in KSP. Landing in KSP in general on other bodies is very satisfying.

This guy has obviously played before, took me so long to even learn the controls of this game let alone making maneuvers.

I hate to be a cynic, but even with his background I don't feel like anyone could get to the mun in one sitting, especially with how nicely he did it.

At 1:25 there is a typo in the subtitles: it says "of the space life cycle is the orbit," when the engineer actually said "of the space life cycle is de-orbit" , which is the action of "slowing" down the space craft so it lands back on Earth; de-orbiting can be referred to as landing on a planet if your spaceship was kept around the planet by its gravity.
At 2:12 there is another error in the subtitles: the subtitles say "kind of like the X, Y, Z access." when the engineer actually said "kind of like the X, Y, Z axis."

That's exactly what I thought. No matter what you do irl, bulding things like that takes its own sort of skill. He went from going straight up trying to orbit to orbiting perfectly
