The drone shots were spot on Alex. These adventures will stay with you forever and make you smile. It makes me think just how many people would sail a 21ft yacht to the Scillies? Love it 👏⛵🏴☠️
Thank you Matt! It was a great trip and the drone just makes it look epic. I have to say you don’t get make boats of Meraki’s size out to the Isles of Scilly. Mostly due to the slow speed and wild conditions you can get on the crossing. I have plenty more big adventures to come!
Dude this is what I love best about this style boat you have. This double keel can be it's on stand at low tide. It's amazing. Your channel was the first time I had ever seen these boats.
Great video again Alex! I have a question, what is your toilet solution when staying on Meraki for extended periods? Looking forward for the next videos!
@@RogerHolden normally not a problem unless the wind direction has changed. Most of the time just being aware of the upcoming conditions is enough to mitigate getting dragged up the beach. Typically just moving the anchor by hand is enough but most of the time I don’t have to do anything.
@@AlexGoesSailing when you do, show us some sites, and tell us some stories about the places you go. A shot of a cannon is cool, but tell us why they were put there. We're completely ignorant of what's there and why, so you are our tour guide. We learn from you.
It’s a nice yacht. You’ve worked hard on it. One exactly the same has been sunk on its mooring for over 20yrs. It’s full of mud and covered in weed but it’s mast only fell down last year!
You people are so weird. That's fish and fries not chips. Chips are like potato chips. Real chips are like Saratoga chips they are a thick potato chip. But they're still a chip. LOL

Love the videos Alex. Had a vivacity 650 the same 20 years ago… some of my happiest memories. It’s a great little boat, very capable.
Yeah I do love the boat! Lots more memories to come this season!
Great to see you enjoying your great pocket cruiser!
It’s great fun!

They are amazing for what they can do!
Well done sir
Thanks again Tim!
I’ll bet that was a quiet steady night at anchor/er keeler
Very calm!
Alex You seem to do so much with Meraki 👍
There is a lot more to come!!!

Portable Chem toilet that fits under the companionway! Lasts easily over a week with two people onboard.
Nice one Alex, great you can dry out easily as so many great beaches there. What’s your plan this year? Andy UK
Will be doing a live stream soon explaining the plan! I will be sailing all over the uk this season maybe as far up as Scotland.
With just the bow anchor out, what stops you just getting washed further up the beach when the tide comes in?

Do you bother with an anchor alarm?
Use a phone app mostly for when the tide comes back!
It's a pretty country you live in.
I agree! I will be exploring a lot more this season!

@@chuckrobinson599 great point! I never thought of it like that. Good job I’m going back this season haha.
What make of boat is this Alex?
Vivacity 650!

Great video, what's on the cards for 2022?
Thanks! Sailing every corner of the uk and hopefully meeting up with more people that watch my adventures!

Fish and chips is the correct term! We also have crisps which would be what you call potato chips. This is definitely an age old debate 😂
