The duel lock as one direction to lock into its self I learned it from watching Raz's videos too..he puts the soft part of velcro on the duel lock its locks it down left right up-and-down...
on this style theres no soft part as this isn't the velcro i think you might be talking about 👍
Yeah I know I have Dual lock 2 and regular Velcro tou can put the soft side of the velcro on the doctor part of the duel lock too...js

Old movie about house renovation called The money pit. So any time you upgrade an Arrma or Traxxas to that next level, you were better off just buying the next level. But that's how they make money on parts. Brushed mega to brushless cost more then a 3s blx. I told someone else all made in same factory in China price is regulated by the name put on the box. Your money!

My hobby shop guy with the XRT pinion he goes up 1 setting for the pins. So for a 23 tooth he mounts it as a 24 tooth.

Love seeing these bigger cars 🤣 But don't own any yet problem being we don't have many areas to run most we find are smaller. Those bigger cars need more room to run and turn. People see them and they scare them being so big. They almost always leave you alone with 10 scale or slightly bigger most ask us 50 questions lol. So I keep my hobby shop business cards on me. Hey Guy, i've seen on Thunder RC that he takes bailing wire or something like it to hold his esc down. Use the screws on the side rail and make a cradle for it with the wire. Sorry for the bad explanation but thunder rc never seems to have issues with esc popping off.
No I totally get it! Very similar to using safety wire to keep bolts intact👍💯
I may have missed it throughout your build series but I don’t remember seeing you grease the diffs… just hate to see a failure. Great job on the build as well!

Hey Guy.. been my experience that the steering servo needs to be in the second #1 slot.. don’t know if you will have an issue. But I have when I plugged it into the first slot.
If it's junk in #1 I'll swap to #2 👍💯🙏

I think the center piece u are missing is connected to the back bumper on the Xmaxx that u are missing not sure how they use it on the XRT. Try looking at your old bumper. You might have it.
The part was a redesign in order to incorporate the wing mounts to the new shock tower where the XMAXX has the rear bumper
so is this just taking you trashbag xmaxx and swappping everything over to XRT chassis?
To an extent yes. They do share parts just obviously not all of them. It's a VERY fun build for sure

@RC Guy Garage about 100 for a painted one. I just thought it would be awesome to have a custom rc guy painted xrt body to add to the build. It would be like icing on the cake after a build like this. Just my thoughts.

As a Traxxas fanboy (love, love, love my heavily modded TRX4 sport) I have to admit I don't like this vehicle. Not one bit.
I don't like its price, I don't like that it is basically plastic parts-bin Traxxas, and I don't like the fact there isn't a roller to support those who might want to do these sort of upgrades. So, I'm taking a pass as I low key simmer here about the obvious moves Traxxas is making to try to normalize these silly prices. I am reminded of the game played several years back by Apple use cheap labour working in horrid conditions to build flashy products with last year's internals. It is done to test the appetite of markets and to see how far they can pull profit margins before there is (immediate) push-back from consumers. What happened? There was only a small pushback, so other phone makers followed suit. Today however, these companies are all clutching their pearls wondering why the upgrade cycle has slowed to a trickle... as if the only market push-back is an immediate one. If this is the new normal, I'll focus on RC's that don't make me feel like I am the one being taken for a ride. I'll stick with my Kraton EXB and my handpicked electronics and other blingy upgrades for the foreseeable future.
